A funny picture book about a very relatable topic! It's filled with lovely illustrations and humorous scenarios. I especially love the cover.

This is a cute tale of one exhausted father trying to get his wide-awake household off to sleepyland. The oldest child keeps up a running list of astute and amusing observances that Dad must ponder, which further tires him out. I'm sure any parent who has struggled to get a young one down at night will sympathize, and enjoy this book.

This book pulled up my heartstrings. It is an easy children’s book to read before bed, but I also talked about how no matter who your parents are, if they are both men or both women, or if they identify something different, or they have any race or their disability that the love the parent has, for the child is unconditional and unmoving and it’s just absolutely beautiful. I didn’t think a children’s book touch my heart so well, but it did, and I would 100% recommend.

Here, the hyperactive mind of a child keeps both junior and father awake – and awake – until it doesn't. The kid is determined to get through things that stumble their way into her brain, even though it's time to think about turning in – she's concerned about how we'd abuse the moon if it was within reach, and how in a different world we'd have too many legs for our clothes and nostrils that faced up and got filled up with rainwater until all we could do was sneeze. The book presents the conversation, such as it is, between father and child, while a successful turning in is not achieved, followed by the full-page visuals relating to each fantastical thought from the young 'un. There is then a busyness to witness when there shouldn't be, and some light-heartedness, but I wouldn't say this was full-on funny, and not really the bearer of anything surprising or different or charming or inventive. It's fine, as one says in that slightly pejorative manner that closely resembles three stars.

Just one more thing… and then bedtime
by Menahem Halberstadt
Laugh out loud story of childhood imagination and stubborn nature. The Wild stories of this very informative thought divergent discussion is totally hilariously. As this child brings to mind many of the questions we all have thought but never had the ability to say.

Very cute illustrations, silly nighttime kid antics, and a very relatable Dad-figure. Not quite engaging enough to become a bedtime favorite, but a very cute one-off read.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley.

This book is adorable. It's about all the ways kids keep themselves and us as parents up at night. It has cool illustrations of all the imaginings in the book.

This is a cute story about a very large father who is trying to put his two very small children to bed.

Unsuccessfully.

Because each time he makes an attempt to get them to settle, his little girl comes up with "just one more thing" she needs to discuss before bedtime! And in the end, he cracks before they do...

The illustrations are quirky and very appealing and the story has a great deal of humour. The questions the little girl comes up with are as unique as they are creative. Enjoyable.
