Yes yes yes! Really enjoyed reading this, a lot of fun and will be recommending it on. Thank you for gifting the book to me through NetGalley
This was a lovely book to snuggle up with over the Christmas holidays, a little bit of escapism. The tale had all the required twists and turns needed in a chick lit tale. The only thing I'd have liked to see was more of the blog entries, especially after each month's challenge.
Fun little book - some twists in personal stories that add a bit of spice. But a nice fun and easy read.
Oh I am so happy to have read this book by Joanna Knowles!!! This book is an easy read, very fun with likeable characters, a super nice storyline, lots of travel and flights (if you love taking planes, this book is for you!), a lovely romance, and super nice friendships! This book is a page turner! I couldn't wait to see how this story would end! I recommend it!!!
I was so looking forward to this but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me. I feel like the story was different to what the blurb mentioned or rather the blurb sort of happened within the first handful of chapters and then it felt like a sort of different direction the story was going in and it just wasn’t for me at that point. It felt a little slower paced than what I would have wanted and it felt sort of like it was lacking in uplifting feelings that I always want my romcoms to have. So sadly I didn’t enjoy this!
The story of Maya and Theo, who meet when he is a passenger on her flight to New York. They don't get off to the best start, but bump in to each other again. Maya has jut sworn off men for a year so would she give him a chance?
Love Is In The Air by Joanna Knowles is great easy 4 star read. I really enjoyed how realistic this novel felt along with how adventurous maya was with going out of her comfort zone to travel to different countries. I was rooting for her throughout this entire book.
Maya is a flight attendant and she regularly flies between the UK (where she's from) and New York City where she'll often spend a few nights before her schedule has her returning to the UK. Our first glimpse of Maya is when she's travelling on her first flight at Christmas after her ex-fiancé dumped her and now she has to deal with a rude, arrogant passenger on her flight. Unfortunately for Maya, she makes a sarcastic comment and the passenger makes a complaint to the airline about her.
When she finds out, she decides to write all her emotions and thoughts down in an attempt to get things off her chest. Her friend, Chloe, finds this and uploads it to a blog which takes off overnight and suddenly the airline wants to commission her to write regular blogs for their website.
Maya starts the blog with two promises - 1. to try something new each month; and 2. stay single for the next 12 months.
The story is cute and quite sweet. Maya's ex was not a great guy and was more interested in himself than he was in Maya so over the course of their 3yr relationship, he slowly chipped away at her confidence. When they break up, she starts to realise this and by having one new challenge a month, she starts to learn more about herself and regains her confidence.
Maya has some wonderful people in her life that help boost her when she needs it, so when her ex comes back to her, trying to wheedle his way back into her life she is able to push him away. But not before he makes life difficult for her.
The story is well written but I think it would have been better being told in a first person POV instead of third person, though this doesn't ruin the story in anyway. I always like a story that sees characters grow and I really think Maya grew a lot in this book.
Thanks to NetGalley and Orion Publishing Group for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
I was really looking forward to reading this but it just didn't make me feel anything.
I didn't feel any connection between Maya and Theo and found myself skimming the last quarter of the book just to see how it ended.
I really like the idea of the story but I just feel like there could have been more focus on the connection between the two MCs as it fell like they only met a handful of times!

An easy read with a well built story surrounding Maya and her catastrophe (ish) of a life. Her blog writing actually felt very realistic and I enjoyed the travelling aspect of it, with different countries and different experiences involved. Especially enjoyed the idea that we should step outside our comfort zone and push ourselves to try new things!
I loved this story! Maya was such a fun character and who doesn't love a grumpy but loveable mmc, which we get here with Theo. Adorable escapism, highly recommend
I absolutely loved this book! It had me hooked and I found myself struggling to put it down! The characters where fantastic. Maya was such a brilliant character, I really felt for her after all she'd been through. I desperately wanted her to get her happy ending. This book was just a pleasure to read and I enjoyed every single page. Definitely will be reading more from this author!
DNF at 21%. This sadly wasn’t the book for me. I tried to get into it and give it a chance but nothing much seemed to happen in the first 20%, so the pacing was slow and it was difficult to push through, more so since I didn’t feel any connection to the main character, Maya. I know this is fiction, but the situation with Maya’s fiance was too far-fetched to add any credit to the story. Theo is also incredibly rude to Maya on the plane and whilst he explains the ‘reason’ for his behaviour, it didn’t sit well with me and I didn’t warm up to him at all. Unfortunately, I was too disinterested in the characters and the plot to keep going and would have liked to see more emotion, something a little more realistic and a redeemable love interest.
A fantastic opening few chapters that throw the story together and sets the plot up so well. A great set of characters, the nasty ex, the mean new fiancée and the lovely lovely friends and family. The book clips on at pace and drew me on and I whipped through this book. A strong plot, amusing friends you want and a sexy new interest. What isn’t to like?
