Always love revisiting Bundy and the town of Bundilla and this latest edition was no different. This time Bundy the Kelpie seems set on matching independent Brenna with city guy Wyatt when he joins one of the trail rides she organises. But there is more to Wyatt than meets the eye and this is not the first time they have met. I really enjoyed learning about Brenna and her twin and their family dynamics and reading about the mischievous quilting club members who go out of their way to ensure Brenna and Wyatt end up together. A great read.

This book has a strong city/country theme. It is a small-town romance with a great country atmosphere including dogs, horses and even quilting. It has history in it including gold sovereigns, and genealogy. If you perhaps like books with twins and their intuition there is that too. This is the 4th book in the series, I haven't read the others and I easily read this as a standalone. I will definitely be reading her other books now.

A charming rural romance that had my heart a flutter. The horses and the outback bring the book to life!

Brenna Lancaster prides herself on being strong and independent. But when she meets Wyatt, she feels that he can easily push her buttons.

Brenna and Wyatt have a bad start to their meeting. But Wyatt is determined to make a better person of himself then what his father was.

Bundilla has his heart, not just in the way Brenna makes him feel, but from his earlier life. And he wants to feel like he is part of that.

Brenna is wanting to be strong and prove she doesn’t need anyone. But, Bundy the kelpie has other plans. But when Brenna finds gold sovereigns and love letters, she needs not just Wyatt’s help, but also his strength to solve the mystery.

Another fabulous story of the Bundilla community and Bundy’s knowledge of needs to find happiness.

Thank you to #Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me to review the book.

If you’re looking for a new author who writes amazing rural romance, don’t hesitate to read Alissa Callen!
This book appears to be country girl and city boy fighting attraction, it’s so much more than that! Snowy Mountains Dawn takes us back to the wonderful community of Bundilla, working hard and matchmaking is front and centre!
The main character Brenna loves her horses and the mountains, she likes to be in control, taking groups on retreats and teaching them how to respect the lifestyle.
I found it easy to relate to the emotions and work/life balance and particularly how this group of city people took a step back from their busy lives. Wyatt finds himself relaxing into the saddle, needing to take the time to explore his priorities.
The storyline opens up when Brenna and Wyatt’s past and future collide, they work together to investigate secrets and their history.
Brenna and Wyatt are opposites and strongly value their own beliefs, but are they really so different?
I was drawn into the mystery and heartwarming developments as the story unfolds.

Congratulations and thank you to Harlequin Australia, HQ, NetGalley and the amazing Alissa Callen for the opportunity to review this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

EXCERPT: Brenna sat a rose-pink velvet cushion on her lap and plucked at the tassels.
"So . . .' Hettie said, voice gentle.
'So . . . this attraction is going to be the death of me.'
'You kissed Wyatt.'
'Should I find it disturbing you don't sound surprised?'
Hettie laughed softly. 'You already said you're attracted to him, plus he isn't exactly ignoring you.'
'What do you mean?'
'The obvious thing, kissing involves two people, plus he watches you when he thinks you're not looking.'
'It's probably because he's thinking I can't believe she said that or wondering if I own a single shirt that's not pink.' She paused. 'We might have kissed but he himself said he's not right for me. The only explanation I can think of is that he believes the whole city-country thing won't work. City girls would be more his thing.'
'I'm not so sure of that. He's single, isn't he?'
'He says he does fine on his own.'
Hettie lifted her mug but not before Brenna saw a smile in her eyes. 'Point proven. That's not a conversation people have with each other if there's zero interest.'
'He was only saying what I said.'
'Taite likes him.'
Brenna groaned. 'Why will no one believe me when I say Wyatt and I could never be together? He meets none of my criteria.'
'Except for looking good on a horse.'
'I've taken that off,' Brenna grumbled. 'And I've added another one. I can't be with anyone who kisses like Wyatt does. 'I'd get no work done.'

ABOUT 'SNOWY MOUNTAINS DAWN': A diehard country girl. A city-boy newcomer. Some rules were meant to be broken... Opposites attract in this delightful rural romance, set in charming small-town Bundilla, from bestselling Australian author Alissa Callen

Horsewoman Brenna Lancaster has no time for relationships. Unless a man looks good on a horse and lets her call the shots, she isn't interested. She'd rather wear a dress and heels than give someone else power over her life.

Finance guru Wyatt Killian is a self-made man who has left the train wreck of his childhood behind. There is zero room in his workaholic world for downtime and distractions, let alone emotions or country girls.

When Wyatt's corporate horse-riding retreat is led by a woman determined to unplug him from his urban life, it isn't just his laser focus that becomes compromised. Being in a saddle unlocks a part of himself that he'd long ago discarded. In a rare moment of nostalgia, he prolongs his stay in the high country.

After Brenna becomes mired in a family secret that involves a historic feud and bushrangers, she has no choice but to involve Wyatt in the search for answers. But as Wyatt's past collides with his future, and the only home Brenna has known comes under threat, both must decide what they need to let go of and what is worth fighting for.

MY THOUGHTS: Although Snowy Mountains Dawn is the 4th in the Bundilla Novels series, I had no problem connecting with the characters, whom I absolutely loved!

Brenna initially appears prickly, but her good nature soon shines through. She does have some pretty odd criteria for what she wants in a man though! She is warmhearted and provides homes for rescue animals. Wyatt is like a toasted marshmallow - all crisp and businesslike on the outside but with a gooey centre. I was rooting for these two from the start! I honestly don't know which of them was more stubborn! I laughed every time Brenna threatened to land Wyatt with four dogs, three cats, two alpacas and a ferret.

The setting is spectacular and the author makes the most of it. Her descriptions of the countryside had me feeling a little homesick. The characters are captivating. From the couple determined not to be a couple to the matchmaking ladies of the quilting club, my heart was warmed by their friendship and concern for one another. The animals all have characters of their own too - and there are a lot of animals! Bundy the kelpie dog, Monty the horse, and a goose that nests under the front steps of Brenna's house are some that particularly enchanted me.

And, as a bonus, there's a little mystery involving some coins, some letters and some ancestors to be solved!

If you are looking for an engrossing and charming rural romance with heart and wit - this is it!

I loved this read and am now determined to find the three earlier books in this series, and to read everything this author has written. I have found a new author to follow.

It’s hard to go past Alissa Callen for warm Australian rural romances and that is certainly the case with Snowy Mountains Dawn. This story features two strong leads, neither of whom has the slightest intention of getting involved with anybody despite their instant and strong attraction to each other. Both have had bad experiences in their past that have shaped the way they behave in the present day. Brenna Lancaster is a born-and-bred country girl who’s happiest on or around her horses. She’s got plenty of sass, weilds a mean pool cue and has her life mapped out. Wyatt Lancaster’s arrival on the scene in his expensive city clothes and smart car changes all that in an instant. Despite his business success and smart appearance, Wyatt is a country boy at heart. He’s not just a horse whisperer; he befriends cantankerous geese and soothes injured animals just as easily. He also plans to continue with his casual approach to relationships and fights just as hard as Brenna to stay unattached. Sadly for these two, Bundy the matchmaking kelpie and the quilting club ladies of Bundilla have other ideas and the ensuing story is filled with gentle humour as the romantic offerings keep turning up. Brenna and Wyatt have plenty of fabulous supporting characters and if you’ve read earlier books in this series you’ll know them well. This book is feel-good from the first page and is a great addition to the series. @harlequinaus

Snowy Mountains Dawn is the fourth book in the Bundilla series and what a fabulous series it has been. Aussie author Alissa Callen is a talented author and this is rural fiction at its best. With well-written characters, and beautiful descriptive settings this author is fast becoming another favourite author of mine. Oh and let’s not forget all the animals that are included in her stories and of course, Bundy is my favourite. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Highly recommended.

With thanks to Netgalley for my digital copy to read and review.

I love this series so much and they just get better with every one, I didn’t want this one to end, Brenna has been a favourite of mine since the first book and she needed a special hero and Wyatt is perfect, but does he tick all of Brenna’s boxes?

Brenna Lancaster is a horsewoman and a good one, her trekking business and giving horse riding lessons takes up the majority of her time and of course family and friends, but as for a relationship she doesn’t have the time and if she did there is a list that, involves her being in control and that he can sit a horse well that the man must meet if there ever is one. When Bundy arrives to join the trek, with the corporate group Brenna is a bit worried especially when she meets Wyatt.

Wyatt Killian is a city man and a financial wizard, his childhood left a lot to be desired and work is everything to him, he doesn’t do emotions or hugging, when he takes the place of his best friend who has recently passed away on a trekking weekend in the high country, something changes, is it being back in the saddle after all of these years, lots of memories are resurfacing and when he needs to extend his stay, the walls around his heart are breaking down, is it because of Brenna?

It is not long before the quilting, match making ladies are doing their best to push Brenna and Wyatt together not to mention Bundy as well spending a lot of time with them both, add to that the rescue of a draft horse who teams up with a pony and a goose and then Brenna uncovers an old family secret linked to bushrangers and gold this investigation brings them even closer together and soon there is no denying the pull between them, will they both be able to put the past behind them and look to the future?

I loved this one so much the best so far for me, Brenna is a loving and caring person and Wyatt is just the same they suit each other so well of course catching up with the fabulous characters who live in Bundilla is always good and meeting Merlin and Angel the geese was fun, I loved Murphy and Cora the two draft horses. This one had me smiling all the way through, there were very happy tears, from me and I do hope we haven’t visited Bundilla for the last time. I highly recommend this one, it is one not to be missed. Thank you MS Callen for a beautiful story, I loved it.

My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my digital copy to read and review.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Australia for the chance to read this book.

This is the 4th Bundilla novel, and reading it was like being reunited with old friends. The first chapter was like catching up with a friend after a long gap, and the second chapter had me completely hooked on the story. Wyatt had so much going on in his life and hadn't dealt with many things from his childhood, but he was still a caring person. The reactions he and Brenna brought out in each other were enjoyable to witness.

The secondary storyline about the letters found in the attic trunk added a sense of coming full circle.
The characters from the quilting group and, of course, Bundy the Kelpie added some humour and lightness to balance some heavier aspects of the story.

It's such an enjoyable story and one I highly recommend.

Wyatt Killian, finance hot shot from Sydney, had accompanied some of his staff to a horse riding retreat in the small town of Bundilla. Immediately Wyatt's past had risen up when he was in the saddle, and the nostalgia for the days he'd lived at his grandparents' farm was strong. Brenna Lancaster, owner of the property and leader of the retreat was a strong, independent woman who had no time for relationships. Her life was devoted to her rescue animals, and her farm showed that. And then Bundy arrived to be by her side...

Wyatt's truck tyre was damaged from the pot holes so he needed to remain in Bundilla for a few days while a replacement wheel was transported in from Sydney. Wyatt stayed at the local pub where he was welcomed with open arms by the owner Roy. It seemed that Roy remembered Wyatt from days in his childhood; days that Wyatt tried to forget. When Brenna discovered some old secrets which might have something to do with the long held feud between her family and the next door neighbours, and Roy talked about the bushrangers at his pub, Wyatt, Brenna and a couple of other sleuths dug deeply into the past. Would they discover the reason for the feud that had run for longer than she knew?

Snowy Mountains Dawn is the 4th in the Bundilla Novels series by Aussie author Alissa Callen and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Bundy was back again, and joined by other four legged friends, even a couple of geese. Catching up with past characters was great, and there was plenty of Brenna's twin brother Taite in this one. All in all, an excellent addition to this addictive series. Highly recommended.

With thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my digital ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

Brenna and Wyatt were a strong pairing in Snowy Mountains Dawn by author Alissa Callen. There were many layers to be revealed for, both characters. A story with some mystery and twists and turns.
Brenna and Wyatt’s strength and fragility equally were endearing and their story was a nice read.

Brenna Lancaster is happily single, she runs her own horse trekking business in the Snowy Mountains high country, gives horse riding lessons in the off season and looks after rescue animals. Brenna is a country girl, she lives in jeans and muddy boots and the only girly thing about her is she loves the colour pink.

Wyatt Killian owns successful finance firm in Sydney and he’s a workaholic and tries not to form romantic attachments. Wyatt takes part in a corporate horse-riding retreat, run by Brenna, the whole idea is to switch off from city life, and mobile phones are banned and reconnect with nature.

Brenna and Wyatt get off to a rocky start, but once they hit the trail, Wyatt remembers just how much he enjoys being around horses and riding and brings back memories of the time he spent with his grandparents as a teenager. Wyatt ends up staying in Bundilla longer than he planned, the only place to rent a room is at the pub called The Bushranger and the local match makers and quilting ladies soon have him in their sights.

Brenna lives at Glenwood Station, her grumpy neighbour Arthur lives next door at Strathdale and his family holds a long term grudge against the Lancaster’s and she has no idea why. When Brenna uncovers some old letters hidden in the attic, she assumes they might have something to do with the start of the feud and the rumours of a gang of bushrangers being active in the area and Brenna, her friends and and even Wyatt gets caught up in trying to solve the mystery.

I received a copy of Snowy Mountains Dawn by Alissa Callen from Harlequin Australia and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I loved the three previous books in the Bundella Series, Snowy Mountains Daughter, Snowy Mountains Cattleman and Snowy Mountains Promise and I have been waiting for the next installment and Ms. Callen hasn’t let me down.

I knew the story this time would focus on Brenna and two people who seem to be the complete opposite, and are they and sparks certainly fly between them? I enjoyed catching up with familiar characters from the other books, especially Bundy the wandering cattle dog and Brenna's friends Grace and Hettie. Like all of the authors novels, there's a theme and message included in the story, in this case it’s what happens to children when their emotional needs are not met, they carry the damage done through to adulthood, feel they're not good enough, switch off their emotions and think they don’t deserve love and to be loved.

A narrative about two stubborn people and very set in their ways, who have built up walls to protect themselves and the three things help break them down, both are good people, they love horses and solving a mystery from the past. I love reading well written and authentic Australian rural fiction, with utes and good looking blokes, pull on boots, riding horses and wearing a driza-bone coats, boiling a billy in the bush and having a good cuppa and five stars from me.
