A good book for the beginning bird enthusiast. A good amount of knowledge without being overwhelming.

This is an excellent book about birds in Africa. The writers include scientific information about each as well as their African names and, in some cases, stories about them. There was lots of blank space which I assume will be filled with photos or illustrations. This would be a good choice for elementary students and precocious preschoolers. I thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Hey there, young bookworms! I just flew through Birds of our Land, and let me tell you, it's a hootin' good time! This book ain't your boring old textbook; it's like a magical bird adventure for kids aged eight to twelve (but honestly, anyone can enjoy it).

The authors serve up a tasty blend of fun facts about birds while keeping it totally relatable. You'll be learning about feathered friends in no time, and trust me, you'll want to show off your newfound knowledge. Plus, did I mention it's not just about the birds you see in your own backyard? Nope, you'll find out that those same birds might be strutting their stuff elsewhere with different names. So, if you want a wild and winged ride, Birds of our Land is the book to flap your feathers over! 🐦📚
