The little girl in Familia Forever enjoys her baby brother Alejandro — until she doesn’t. She resents his following her around and his neediness. The dislike is resolved, as the title indicates, but this picture book is pretty much just average. The same story is told in a funnier and more endearing way in Julius, the Baby of the World.

Although this book has a nice message, I feel it could be represented in a better way. It didn't hold my lo's attention past 3 pages and I think that is due to lots of white space, few words on each page and small illustrations. There is room for improvement as I believe the main idea is good.

Cute book about family dynamics and growing up. Could benefit from additional editing. Specifically, “years pasted” should be years passed as it is describing a timeframe that has passed. Illustrations were bright and really added to the book.

In this story we meet a young girl who experiences life following the birth of her younger brother. It is a story many older sisters can relate too and one I found myself in having a younger brother who used to follow me around. It is a nice story and thought a bit too old for my students would be great for school aged children.

Familia Forever is the story of a little girl who loves her parents and her life. When a new baby enters the household she is happy but over time she finds her little brother annoying. He disappears from her life for a bit but she is happy when he returns. She learns to appreciate her sibling. This is an important theme. I found the book a bit confusing because the appearance of the characters kept changing. In one picture the brother had red hair and in the next it was black. His size also fluctuated. On one page he is bigger than she is while on the next, he’s a toddler. The girl’s appearance was, less so, but also inconsistent. I think the illustrations might be confusing to preschoolers. I thank the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

In Familia forever we get to meet Donna and Alejandro who are siblings. One day, Donna gets tired of Alejandro following her around and asks “why are you still here?”

A simple and nice children’s book about siblings, about how being in a caring and loving home but still you can find your siblings annoying. After everything, even when you are annoyed, you still love and care about your sibling/family. Young readers will have good use of this book.

This is a sweet, simple story about a pair of siblings.

When Donna gets tired of having younger brother Alejandro following her around, she loses her temper.

But after couple of days of playing alone, she realises that it is actually nice to have company.

Luckily, Alejandro is forgiving, and it drives home to Donna the value of having a warm and loving family!

This is a good story for very young children, with cheerful illustrations and a message that they will be able to grasp easily.

There is nothing like a bond between siblings, they will get along and they will always argue. This book is a great book to read to a child that is getting ready to welcome a new baby into their home. Even though it may be harder for them to comprehend the concept they will be able to prepare themself for change!
