What a great read and so different from your average psychological thriller. I wasn’t sure when I read the synopsis if I would like this book but once started ,I couldn't put it down. I loved reading about all the different point of views as the book progressed and found them easy to follow. It was full of twists and turns and still not sure if I did get to grips with tying up the loose ends but it didn’t spoil the story. Some of the characters eg Robbie were not very realistic. He sounded too good to be true for me.. Howver a thoroughly enjoyable read !
My thanks to Netgalley and publisher for giving me the chance to read this book.

I have just spent about a week with Janie, Vanessa, and Robbie. Vanessa is retired, and volunteers for witness care at the court, Robbie is a famous popstar, a household name, and Janie was the victim of a hit and run twenty years earlier, she was eighteen at the time, with all of her life ahead of her...until she died on a Tuesday. The paramedics didn't know how long she was starved of oxygen, only that it was long enough to have life changing injuries. With someone coming forward to disclose the name of the driver a tale unfolds full of guilt, remorse, deception, betrayal, family, and hope...Read it!

I love all of Jane Corey’s books which are fast paced and edge of your seat , I won’t sleep till I read all this book stuff. This book does not disappoint. She never fails. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advanced copy in return for an honest review.

First novel I have read by the author and enjoyed it, although the flitting between characters in name chapters is seemingly used a lot in recent books, not just by this author. That's fine but it can lose the reader at times, especially if the book isn't overly engaging. Tried very hard to like it, however, not for me.

This is a brilliantly written story with three main characters and a host of others seamlessly woven in. At first, it's hard to see how they all connect, which kept me guessing and thinking throughout. Full of tragedy and unexpected twists, it led to an ending I didn’t see coming. Simply put, it's a fantastic and worthwhile read. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the copy.

I have loved all books by Jane Corey, but sadly this book did not appeal to me as much.
For the first half it was so slow and nothing much happened, each character would reminisce about the past and then jump forward again. They were all obviously connected, but no idea why at this point.

The second half picked up the pace a bit and I was more interested, but to be honest by that point I didn’t really care how they were connected or why.
There was no overriding likeable character, truthfully there were more I disliked.

I am grateful for the ARC. So Thank You.

A mystery book told from the point of view of Vanessa, Robbie, Janie and Judge.
A crime was committed but those responsible not bought to justice until now and this is the story of how Vanessa, a victim court supporter was widow of the police officer investigating the case and also friends of the judge presiding over the case who has a historical connection with the family who are accused. Up steps a not exactly a long lost family rather than a previously unknown family of Vanessa who is also connected to the case.
Janie is the victim whose mother is suspected of drowning but Janie never fully believes this believing her to be alive because she was at the scene of the accident or is Janie’s memory playing up and how much of a reliable witness is she? Then there is Robbie, the accused, successful singer possibly partly responsible but not intentionally and bullied and threatened by the family whose fault it is.
The book is full of twists and turns and sometimes just don’t know who or what to believe. There are so many threads to this which are mostly interconnected relying on the beliefs that there is 4 degrees of separation or is it 3 degrees between all of us?
Quite an enjoyable read of mystery and wanting to find the truth of so many unanswered questions.
With thanks to #NetGalley for this preview read.

Where do I start. This book totally gripped me, it was hard to put down. I just don't know where to start without giving too much away. There are many twists and turns. The characters are believable and this thriller is well written. If you only read one book in 2024, make it this one. You won't regret it.

I really enjoyed the way all the different storylines weaved in and together. I felt the charecter growth for some was amazing and as more and more came out the charecter likeability decreasing. Overall really moving and engaging

Another great read from Jane. With twists and turns galore.
Janie is set for great things and is off to seek her life in London. But secretly she is hoping to find her mom who she believes did not drown.
Robbie is a successful rock star who’s early start in his career made some bad life choices to survive.
And Vanessa is a grieving widow who volunteers in the courts and apart from her friend the judge has no family to call her own.
The story is told from these 3 people’s perspectives but how they link and join is where the story begins and ends. A real page turner. You can’t help but love them all and gasp in places at how awful those you love can be.

This is written from 3 different points of view, which is enjoyable.
I really enjoyed this book, it kept me interested and gripped.
I wanted to know what happened next.
It's my first by this author, but won't be the last.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great read that has a few twists and turns to keep you gripped from the first page. I found it hard to put down once I had started it.

There’s the story everyone believes...

The victim: Eighteen-year-old Janie, leaving home for a fresh start.

The criminal: World-famous rock star Robbie, hiding a shocking secret.

The protector: Witness support officer Vanessa, driven to rectify her past mistakes.

The truth about that fateful day is buried, but it's resurfacing to haunt them all.

This gripping novel captivated me with its intricate plot and deeply developed characters. The relationships are intense, pushing each character to confront painful truths and deep-seated guilt. I found myself racing through the pages, immersed in the emotional depth and exploration of guilt and redemption. An unforgettable read that masterfully blends suspense with profound character insight.

A rather complex story from Jane Corry, whose books I have enjoyed in the past. I Died On A Tuesday is told from multiple, sometimes unreliable, perspectives.

No one has been prosecuted for the hit and run that left 18 year old Janie White with life changing injuries until 20 years later when new evidence is presented to the police that the driver was Robbie Manning, an internationally famous singer and national treasure. Seemingly unrelated, we are introduced to Vanessa, the widow of the policeman who originally investigated the hit and run. Vanessa is now a witness support volunteer who sits with witnesses in court during trials.

Lots of twists and turns as one might expect and a good holiday read. Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin General UK for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Jane Corry's books are always interesting and well researched, giving the reader a glimpse into other worlds, in this case prison life and witness support. She writes in a warm, sympathetic style while dealing with dark subjects. I loved the bickering dynamic between Jack and Vanessa in this story, and found it a very enjoyable read
