‘I Died on a Tuesday’ by author Jane Corry is a very good read that revolves around three characters , Janie, Robbie and Vanessa whose lives are all affected by the same accident and can now tell their story.

Janie White suffered life changing injuries that have taken years of treatment to allow her to tell her story. Robbie Manning is a pop star who has kept a secret from his friends and family but he is now been forced to face it. And Vanessa who works as a court support volunteer and is extremely shaken when she receives a letter from the past.

This is a very good read full of very interesting characters and well written that maintained my interest from start to finish.

Not a big fan of this one. I liked the first half but then it seemed to tail off and become even more unreadable and ludicrous. Not for me. Sorry.

2004 A hit and run accident left 18 year old cyclist Janie with life changing injuries and Robbie a young man at the start of a promising musical career forever looking over his shoulder.

20 years later he's arrested, now famous the forthcoming court case is going to be huge and witness support worker Vanessa wants in on it.

Janie, Robbie and Vanessa all take their turn with the narration and for me that worked really well, I found it easy to get into, the multi narrative added depth, setting the scene and drawing me in...and then three quarters of the way through it all seemed to go pear shaped for me. Additional threads, additional characters made it little bit busy, a little bit dubious and left me a little bit lost. Overall a good read that despite the flying start wasn't as satisfying as I hoped it'd be.

Mixed emotions about this one. An excellent start that hooked me in instantly. Sadly half way in the plot became incredibly flimsy and totally unbelievable. I struggled on to the end, hoping it would improve but if anything it just became more outrageous. Usually I love this author's books but unfortunately this one left me hugely disappointed.

Loved it! Took a bit of time to get into the swing of it but once I caught on I was hooked - could have easily stayed all night reading it. Loved the characters, they are all different and exciting in their own ways. Poor Robbie in prison- ghastly experience so well depicted.

There are several threads running through the story, some with tentative connections, others overlapping.

Starting 20 years ago, 18 year old Janie White becomes the victim of a hit and run driver, leaving her critically injured in a coma. When she comes out of the coma, Janie is severely disabled and unable to speak.
With great effect, the author has woven Janie’s thoughts and observations through the book, gradually revealing details of Janie’s family and her background.

In the current day, Robbie Manning is a successful song writer and singer who is happily married with 2 children.
Until the day that the police arrive at his home and arrest him for the attempted murder of Janie White.
At this point, Robbie has to decide whether to tell the truth or to say nothing to protect his family.

69 year old Vanessa Grossmith is a witness support volunteer. She and Jack had married young. After experiencing a traumatic stillbirth, they were unable to have a family
Since Jack’s death 3 years earlier, Vanessa hears his voice in her head, talking to her, advising and guiding her, just as he had throughout their marriage.
Until the day when she receives a phone call from someone claiming to be her grandson, leaving her to question everything about her marriage.

There were plenty of twists, turns and red herrings along the way and a proliferation of secrets are revealed.

This was an excellent book which I read avidly until finishing.

Janie is a beautiful shy teen who has lost her mum. Her dad says she killed herself by walking into the sea she loved to swim in but Janie continues to look for her.

Robbie comes from a home where his parents work hard to prove they belong in the country and his desire to become a musician seems to be against the work ethic, despite his obvious talent.

One chance event leads to a devastating and life changing event.

The girl who died but survived, years later lives and is able to confront the truth, helped by a woman discovering her own happy past is not what she believed it to be.

Amazing writing and brilliant characters with stories interwoven and stand alone, just a page turner.

Can’t recommend this book and author enough.

Once again Jane Corry has written a book that has blown my mind.

When I wasn't reading this, I was thinking about it, and just when you think you might know how thinks may resolve themselves, another twist is thrown in to keep you totally on your toes.

And even more impressive is the way what initially seems like some separate stories between the characters, actually proves they are linked in ways I would have never dreamed of (although made perfect sense once you knew).

I actually felt sympathy for all the main characters in this, including for the man who was accused of murder.

There are so many threads to this that I really wouldn't want to risk spoiling anything but suffice to say there is one rather addictive story within the pages of this book. This truly is a masterclass in fabulous storytelling., from an author that gets better and better with each book.

There are scenes set within a prison that were so vividly described that I could picture it clearly and at points it made me feel quite ill. The chapters from Janie's point of view were sensitively written, while Vanessa discovers all sorts of things as the story progresses.

It's just a fabulous book, and one that I'm sure will play on my mind for a while now that I've finished it.

Heartily recommend this book.

This one started slowly and took a while to get into. Once the pace picked up I thoroughly it. Lots of characters to keep track of, and with that I was among so many conclusions about what the truth could be. I enjoyed how all of the little mysteries were cleared up by the end.
Great read.

I love Jane Corry - I first read a book by her in September 2016 and have read everything she's released since. She has never let me down and her newest novel, I Died on a Tuesday, is no exception!

A famous popstar is arrested for a hit and run that happened years ago. The story follows multiple POVs and timelines to uncover the truth👀

Jane Corry's books always have a wonderful seaside setting which draws me in, I live by the sea and can't imagine being anywhere else. This book was packed with drama and twists that kept me guessing throughout. I loved Vanessa and how much she cared about her job and the witnesses she looked after during court cases. I also had a soft spot for Robbie and was super intrigued by his story and background.

I love how Corry introduced additional characters and made me think it was just a nice side story but tied it altogether towards the end. An ending I did not see coming and thought was just brilliant.

This was a very easy 5⭐ read and it's one I'd recommend to everyone!

Jane Corry has done it again with another compelling read. I read most of her books and she doesn’t disappoint. This is another intricate plot story involving the three main characters and I felt it well written and really enjoyed this entertaining read. The only thing that was niggling me what the character of Vanessa. What part in she had in all of this? But soon came clear by the last quarter of the book. With the authors trademark twist, I didn’t see coming at the end. 4 stars from me.

This book was a great build up of suspense that has you questioning how much you trusts the characters!

This was a book I seemed to fly through. The three main characters each had their own powerful backstory.

A tragic accident connects the three characters when a young girl Janine is knocked down and suffers horrendous life changing injuries in a hit and run accident.

Robbie is a famous pop star accused of the crime. Is he capable of such an atrocity ? Can there possibly be more to the conviction than meets the eye ?

Vanessa works as a court support volunteer who has a personal interest in Robbie’s case as her late husband had been involved in the case. She has her own story as she finds out a terrible secret from her past.

This book is told from each characters perspective and each grow and change throughout the story . The way each of their story’s is weaved together is fantastic. A compelling plot told with great talent and insight I can’t recommend this book enough.

Oh my Goodness! What a story!

I've been meaning to read this ARC since before Christmas, when I was kindly sent it by the publisher.

The book had me hooked from the first few chapters. I thought I knew what was coming so many times, but the twists and turns just kept coming!

The characters are so diverse but still relatable. I felt so many emotions towards them all throughout, it was a real rollercoaster. I think seeing the story through so many different eyes and in different pieces made it so much more interesting than a straight-forward story.

I will definitely be buying the physical copy of this book when it is released, as well as copies for my friends and family. It was fantastic.

This was as close to five stars as it could get. I absolutely loved almost all of it. I Died On A Tuesday definitely meets the headlines of 'couldn't put it down' and 'page turner' whereas I often find that for some books described that way then the reader must have either had glue on his or her fingers or it was a very windy day!!
Characters are excellent and credible even though they are often not. A really good pace is maintained and there are no 'waffly' segments.
Even though there are 3 separate main story streams - Robbie, Janie and Vanessa you know these will somehow be linked yet the book has many twists and turns as everything is revealed.
I did not give I Died On A Tuesday 5 stars as the end few chapters seemed to not quite match the majority of the book. It may have been me but somewhere in the book it is said that the 'day' was actually a Wednesday not a Tuesday so I expected a really big twist at the end - but I don't remember this being explained.
Still a definite must to read - in my opinion.

I thought this started a bit slowly but soon the pace quickened and I was engrossed, it certainly did not pan out the way I expected. The past often returns to bite us if we are not careful and this book shows that. An enjoyable read.

You know that with a title like this one it is going to be a thriller of a read! I love Jane Corry novels and this was another one that did not disappoint. She is excellent at writing suspense and making you wait until the very end to know what is going to happen. I love trying to guess the endings and this one was definitely amazing.
