This is a good book. The two main characters are Lila and Preston. They meet when Preston was on leave. Lila is a waitress when he has to go back to the service, he makes no promises about seeing Lila again. Preston is involved in a bombing, he is reported dead. Lila finds out she is pregnant. Two years later, Lila meets a bad guy. He threatens her. Preston comes back, sees Lila and his son. He protects them. They fall in love.

3.5 ⭐

I loved the first half of this book, it was so fun to see the start of the relationship, some of the time in-between and then them reconnecting, it was so fun and cute

The second half is a lot more romantic suspense which I wasn't expecting, it was still a great storyline just not really the vibe I was after

- set at Christmas
- second chance
- secret baby

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: yes
spice: a couple mildly open-door spicy scenes
TWs: attempted murder, stalking, mentions of war, mentions of death
standalone: yes
final thoughts: a quick holiday romance featuring a couple who get their second chance at love. The story progressed a little too quick in some areas for me (make that man grovel and beg- come on!!) but was a good pace in others. Overall this story hit the mark for me with what I was looking for: forced proximity Christmas story with some mystery, twists, and a HEA.

read this book if you love

Navy SEAL Preston is dead. At least on paper. When the Navy mistakenly reports him as KIA, it gives Preston the opportunity to join an elite BlackOps team. It’s perfect for a man like him… No family, no commitments. No romance…

On leave for the holidays, Preston heads to the last place he was truly happy… The resort where he met Lila, a stunningly beautiful woman who stole his heart, years ago. He’s supposed to stay off the grid—and alone. But then he sees her. Lila. Along with a son he never knew existed…

Lila wrote off Preston years ago. Of all the sneaky, underhanded things a man could do. Pretending to be dead, just to avoid her? Furious is putting it mildly. But when she bumps into Preston at the very same resort where they met, she calms down long enough for him to explain. And she can’t deny the sizzling chemistry they both still share.

I loved this second chance romance! The characters and story are well written. Leslie North can write a steamy romance and I am always excited to read her newest book!

Thanks to NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book! It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting & that made it better. I loved seeing the conflict that Lila had going on when it came to whether or not she wanted Preston to be back in her life.

Such a great book!

He thinks she is to good for him and runs away to his next mission. Only to end up injured and making a very hard and cruel decision that will change more than his future even if he doesn't knows it.

She knew he was going to go back to his job as a Seal, so she wasn't surprised when she woke up and didn't find him next to her. What surprised her was when a couple of months after that, she found out she was pregnant. When she tried to tell him that, his decision reached her and destroyed her.

What will happen when 5 years pass and both of them end up in the place they meet each other? Read this and find out!

the title of this book is really misleading. there was no snowed in. like there was no point in this story where the MC's where trapped in a building together due to adverse weather? did i miss something?

anyway, this book was a lovely book to read over the winter season. it was cosy and had me wanting to wrap up in a blanket burrito with a hot chocolate. there was also a dash of mystery too which was a welcome surprise.

now while the general vibe of the book was great, i didn't enjoy every second and heres why:

the sow burn was too slow. it was glacial.
the mystery was really out of place. i didn't understand where it fit in with the general plot of the book?
there wasn't that much chemistry between Preston and Lila. their romance fell sort of flat for me
and finally, like i said, the MC's werent snowed in together? there wasnt a snow storm or anything. if you want to get picky, yes they did end up sharing a house BUT either one of them could have left.

all in all, it was a good book. I wouldn't read it again though.

Snowed in with the Seal was an enjoyable read. Preston, a Navy Seal, and Lila had met previously and before she could tell him she was pregnant she found out he was KIA. Or so she thought that he was dead. He really is alive but is part of a covert mission. They accidentally meet up again while staying at a winter cabin. He also sees his son who looks just like him. Lila was in trouble with the person who had leant her money. When she started to be threatened and even attacked Preston is there to protect her.
This was a quick but enjoyable book. It’s filled with grief, reunions, action, winter fun, and of course romance. The author did a great job telling Preston and Lila’s story. I would definitely read more of her books.

Snowed in with the SEAL was a nice holiday, happy ending read. Two lovers who part ways, she finds out she is pregnant, he is off being a SEAL. ***SPOILER*** She believes him to be dead, he isn't. They end up in neighboring cabins at the resort where it all started years ago and reunite, albeit a contentious reunion at first. Then when he life is threatened, the SEAL steps in and... twist and turns later than reunite one big happy family. There was a lot and I mean a LOT packed into this story. Some probably could have been shaved off, but overall it was a decent, escape to read.

Very sexy and very fast to read. The plot was definitely plotting. I read this book during the last few days of December and it brought back that wintery vibe I was missing. I loved the cute romance and who can resist a charming sexy buff seal guy? Not me I’ll tell you

Lila and Preston met years before at a resort in the mountains, knowing he would be deploying and with no attachments. When the two part ways and he has left for his deployment she finds out that she is pregnant. About that same time, his Seal unit comes under attack and one of his team members is killed. Yet with a paper work snafu, they have his name down as the deceased Seal. when she goes to the Naval base to at least try to give him word it is there through a chaplain that she finds out the news. Now years later it just turns out that they are both back at the same resort where it all started but he has a different name and must deal with his past and decide if he wants to try and have a future with her and his son. A good book with good characters.

This was a very cute story about two people who feel in love for two months during the summer. Then When he was called back to duty and left her she had to pick up the pieces of her heart. Then things happened that she never saw coming and she had to make some hard choices to make it through the tough times.

Preston is a sexy alpha Navy SEAL on leave. Lila and Preston met at a resort where she works. When Preston leave is over he heads back to his Navy SEALS duties. Lila learns that she is pregnant and goes in search of Preston and learns that he was reported as KIA. Preston and his crew were ambushed, he learns that he has been reported as KIA while recuperating in the medic unit. This opens the door for him to join a covert Black OPS unit with the approval of his CO to learn who ambushed him and his crew. When Preston’s assignment is over he heads back to where he met Lila and spots her with a little boy the splitting image of him. When Lila spots Preston she immediately recognizes him and when she asks him if he is Preston he said no and that she somehow must have mistaken him for someone else. When morning arises, Preston decides to come clean with Lila. Preston was to know if Parker is his son and Lila informs him yes as Parker looks exactly like him. A serious of events happen putting Lila in the hospital and in danger. Preston is now hard at work trying to figure out what is going on and if it has anything to do with him and his crew being ambushed.

Who was behind the ambushed, who is after Lila, can Preston keep Lila and Parker safe and protect them, will Preston still work covertly with the Black OPS Unit, is there an HEA in store for Lila, Preston and Parker?

I downloaded this book on Net Galley expecting it to be very, very cheesy, but it totally surprised me in a good way. I love cheese, but sometimes it can be over the top. Snowed in with the SEAL had a great plot, character depth, and mystery. I loved the balance of romance to action/mystery. Most romance novels don't have a great balance, but this book found the perfect amount of both.

If you are looking for a fun, fast, good read, then check out this book!

This is a second chance romance with our main characters being Preston, a Navy SEAL, and Lila, a hard-working woman who's lost her whole family. Preston and Lila share a few months together and have to part when Preston goes on a mission. Lila finds out she's pregnant after he's gone, and is told he died during the mission. Preston has really gone deep undercover, and when a new mission brings him back to Lila, he sees the son he didn't know exists.

This was a nice romance with spice and suspense. The book is so short that I found the plot surrounding the mystery aspect lacking a bit. Our characters were well fleshed out, and I liked the dual POV. I also really liked the family moments between Preston, Lila, and their son. He was adorable!

Overall a solid romance and a quick read.

I loved the mystery involved in this romance! I had a hard time putting it down - Was someone trying to sabotage their found-again relationship? Was someone after Preston for his Navy SEAL background? If you love second-change romances with a hint of mystery, this is the book for you!

I loved the connection between Preston and Lila from the very beginning. Between their choices and external factors getting in the way, they were pulled apart. They both end up at a ski resort for the holidays where they meet again and the story continues from there. I was pulled in by the story and the writing made it easy to read quickly with Lila relying on Preston to protect her as circumstances become dangerous. I will read more from this author in the future as this was an enjoyable read with a protective alpha hero and a determined heroine.
