I am going to start out with a quick note, stating that this book is technically "closed door", however one scene involving the shower made me feel that it was right on the edge of the next level. I'm not judging this, I simply haven't found anyone else mentioning what surprised me. The characters do enter into a physical relationship with each other very quickly. So, if you are looking for a "squeaky clean" read, this might be an issue for you, even though the "action" mostly takes place off stage.

The next thing that surprised me was that there was actually quite a bit of language, aka light curse words, used fairly often. In other clean, closed door romcoms I have read recently, if there were any curse words it was around five or less in the entire book. This was a lot more.

Those two things being said, I am not rating this book with low stars. I really liked the story. And although I usually read Christian fiction or clean, closed door fiction, I can appreciate the value of the storytelling in this novel. Honestly, it would probably have been a five star read for me if it was a bit more closed door and less cursing.

But the story itself was endearing. I loved that Presley found not only someone who loved her for who she was, but that the entire family and the various characters that she got to know in the book valued her and felt that she was important to them. This was something that Presley was desperately missing in life without even realizing it before she took this vacation.

I really liked the connection that developed between Beckett and Presley. Yes, it was a fast, insta love type of thing. And that actually sometimes happens in real life. I have a handful of friends who fell in love and married very quickly and their marriages seem to be going strong many years later.

I hope the author will write stories for Beckett's sister and brother. I'd love to see them get their happily ever afters. I listened to the audio version of this book and it was wonderfully narrated. I really enjoyed listening to it.

This was a cute, quick romance novel. I didn't love that everything happened so early in the story, somehow it made the book seem like it was dragging a little. The main characters were great, the story was fun... and I'm a sucker for a mountain man.

Love Naturally is the fourth delightful romcom from the pen of Sophie Sullivan. Presley Ayers has degrees in hospitality and marketing and is working tirelessly to move up the ladder in the boutique hotel where she works in Great Falls, MI. Presley’s goals include getting ahead in her career and forming a family of her own. As an only child of self indulgent, somewhat neglectful parents, Presley has missed the feeling of family and craves that feeling.

Presley’s boyfriend of eight months, Emmett, has an upcoming birthday and she wants to make it very special. She has taken ten days off work, worked her influencer magic on a small regional airline to get tickets, and purchased a ten day stay at a place Emmett has repeatedly said he wants to go, the Get Lost Lodge. However, when Presley presents Emmett with this gift, he dispels any notions of a future together. Eager to take a buddy on the trip, he doesn’t get the chance when Presley grabs the envelope, leaves his luggage in the parking lot, and heads for the airport.

A shaky small plane flight and wobbly boat ride later, Presley finds herself on a forested island with a lovely, if a bit shabby, lodge. She also finds herself taken by the rugged brother of the lodge owner. Beckett Keller has taken a couple of months off to help his brother Grayson get the lodge up and running well. Grayson lost everything in a divorce settlement but was given the old lodge and island as a consolation prize. Grayson is now determined to make it work along with his brother, his sister Jilly, and her daughter Ollie.

Through a frozen hotel room, a cottage move, hiking, fishing, and boating, family dinners and campfires, Presley falls in love with the Keller family, but none so much as Beckett. Amazing how ten days can change a person’s life! But it’s only vacation, and after ten days it’s time to return to reality.

This is such a good story! With a little something for everyone, Ms. Sullivan creates places I want to go and characters I’d like to meet. The conclusion of this story is so sweet, but there is so much more I want to know about these characters. What becomes of Grayson, Jilly, and Presley’s best friend Rylee? This book has only opened the door for so many more stories. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

Love, Naturally was the outdoorsy escape I didn't know I needed. I love the city dweller/influencer in the wilderness trope, and man was Beckett a dreamy hero! I also love a "save the small business" story, so this book hit all my sweet spots. In classic Sophie Sullivan fashion, it's a really fun romance.

It is instalove, but it's such a fun escape that it was worth it. I didn't love the third-act breakup, but the adorable redemption made up for it.

The side characters are all incredible, and I'm certainly hoping Sophie Sullivan writes more in this world.

Julie Rogers nailed the audio performance. I look forward to more from her in the future.

Marked as DNF @ 11% on 1/27/24 | I didn't realize until I went to go mark this as DNF that I've stopped another book by this author before. I guess I just don't click with her writing! The female lead was just too naive and I don't always like the helpless city girl thing... the beginning of this didn't do it for me. It also took too long to get going and I hated the meet cute. No sense in me pushing to finish this one.

I wanted to love this book but unfortunately this just fell flat for me. The is a DNF for me that I didn't DNF. I pushed through to give my honest review for the whole book.

What worked:
The premise of the story.
Small town romance.

What didn't work:
I didn't buy into the insta-love. I had a problem with the main female character moving on so quickly from her last relationship.
The 3rd person POV. I can handle it in some books but I kept hearing "he said", "she said" repeatedly and it was distracting.
The pacing of the story. The whole story line was just over a few days and it was the longest 10 days of my life.

I did listen to this on audio. The narrator would have been fine if I had been enjoying the story but in combination with struggling through the book I found myself not enjoying the narrator either.

*closed door romance*

I didn't get a chance to listen to his audiobook before it expired. When I get time I still want to listen to it, but probably through Libby.

When Presley booked a ten day vacation for her and her boyfriend, she thought she would win girlfriend of the year. Unfortunately when he asks to go without her she has no choice but to end the relationship. Not wanting to waste the trip, Presley decides to go solo. Will ten days out of her comfort zone be just the thing she needs to heal, or will she find herself wallowing in self pity.

This is a tricky book for me to review. While I am a huge fan of Sophie Sullivan and have enjoyed all her books to date, this one missed the mark for me.

My main issue with Love, Naturally is the insta love trope. I have never been partial to said trope. However, if there had been more time between when Presley moved on to Beckett, I could have bought more into the story.

I had the pleasure of both reading and listening to this book. I found the audiobook to be very enjoyable. The narrator did a great job and brought my overall rating of this book up from a 3.5 star read to 4 stars!!!

While this was not the perfect fit for me, I know there is a huge audience for this book. I am excited to know Sullivan has more books about to be released and will happily be reading all of them!!

Special thanks to Netgalley, Macmillan Audio, and Sophie Sullivan for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was a cute contemporary romance set in Michigan. The extremely fast romance was a bit hard to believe but it was an overall enjoyable story. The audio narrator did a great job and created an easy listening experience.

"I need to be the one someone can't live without...I need the someone who asks me not to go."

"You took my heart and it's really hard to function without it."

The ultra sweet opposites attract Love, Naturally by RomCom author Sophie Sullivan will leave you feeling all gooey inside with a smile on the outside.

A city girl, and an over achiever concierge at a high end hotel, Presley doesn't do outdoor activities but her boyfriend loves camping; so she surprises him with a vacation to the Get Lost Lodge where they can do outdoorsy things together. His response is ..well rude is putting it mildly so she dumps him and goes without him.

On the ferry there she's already a fish out of water feeling seasick. A handsome lumberjack looking man, Beckett, gives her a paper bag and she dismisses him. Well wouldn't you know his family owns the Lodge. His brother Greyson just bought it. His sister Jilly with his young precocious niece Ollie helps run it with Beckett; when he's not at work. The previous owners let it get run down and the siblings are trying everything to fix it up and get more clients. It's a good thing concierge Presley knows all about the hospitality business.

As they spend time together Presley starts to enjoy bike rides and hiking...fishing well maybe not so much. Beckett starts to want more for himself than just work and that includes Presley but she leaves in 10 days.

I truly enjoyed this dual POV romantic comedy. Voice actress Julie Rogers interpretation of Presley was filled with such spunk, growth and joy.

Jilly and Greyson deserve their own love stories...hint...hint! Falling in love should come naturally and Presley and Beckett do it with Hallmark wholesomeness.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from #macmillanaudio via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

📙Love, Naturally by Sophie Sullivan
🗓️Pub date: January 16, 2024 (out now!)

Presley Ayers purchased and planned an outdoorsy vacation for her boyfriend and herself. While she doesn’t really enjoy the outdoors, her boyfriend does. While working as a hotel concierge and social media influencer, she’s made a successful career out of being a planner and detail oriented.

While telling her boyfriend about the trip she’s planned for them, he tells her that he can’t imagine spending 10 days with her obsessive planning and nagging. So, Presley ends up going on vacation at the fishing lodge by herself. But she doesn’t expect a gorgeous mountain man to occupy her time on vacation.

Beckett Keller is helping his family at the fishing lodge they’ve recently taken over. While he enjoys helping his family, he does have his own dreams he’d like to pursue. In walks Presley, who helps him pursue those dreams by coming up with a marketing plan for his bike shop he wants to start. While spending so much time together, the two agree to make the most out of the 10 days Presley is there. But deep down, both want more than just 10 days with each other.

Overall, I thought the story was cute but I’m not really big on the insta-love trope. While they had some great moments, I just didn’t see the chemistry between them. I also didn’t feel like I connected with either of the characters. I also found the pace to be a little too slow for me and thought some of the storyline really dragged on.

I did listen to this on audio and didn’t really enjoy the narration, which also could be a big reason why I didn’t enjoy this one as much.

Love, Naturally is a gentle, fun, sweet read about family, friends, romance, and about finding your way. It proves that just because you have a plan, you do not have to stick to it, and in taking a chance, you find out who you really are. Readers will know, support, and love Presley Ayers throughout her journey; it just takes her a little more time to figure it out.

Sophie Sullivan writes characters who I want to be friends with. I adored strong, smart, funny Pressley and rooted for her to get every bit of her HEA. And of course I swooned over Beckett...with his thoughtfulness and his care and concern for his family, he’s a true romance hero. I read half this book and listened to the other half on audio, and it was a joy both ways. Fantastic narrator, engaging story, and a completely lovable cast of characters. It’s a book that will just make you happy.

I liked a lot about this story. The general plot and set up. The characters and their chemistry and the amazing side family characters were funny and heartwarming. I loved the idea of the camp they were at and the way they both had big dreams that they wanted to achieve. What lost me here and there was the length and part of this was the repetitiveness of some of the storyline. It took a while for the story to move forward.

The narrator was fabulous. I liked how she created the different character voices. It wasn't over the top with the voices.

Presley has just had a bombshell dropped on her when her boyfriend suggests he take the birthday trip she planned for the two of them and take someone else with him who he'd enjoy spending the time with more. Floored by that, she finally gets the hint that he's just not that into her, and she decides to take the trip herself instead. Of course, she'd planned it with things he'd enjoy rather than what she liked doing, so it meant opening herself up to new opportunities. And boy did that turn out well for her!

Beckett is close to his siblings and happy to help them get their vacation venue off the ground. It still needs a lot of work, but it'll get there eventually.

Unfortunately, when the A/C in Presley's room malfunctions and all the available rooms are already booked, there's no other recourse than to give her his cabin and he'll go stay with one of his siblings.

But things don't quite go according to plan. And while Presley was smarting over the realization that what she had wanted so much really wasn't that fulfilling or even good for her, she starts to figure out just what she wants out of life. Could a hot mountain man be the answer?

You'll have to read this opposites-attract romance for yourself to find out. :-)

Thank you to Sophie Sullivan for creating characters and a setting that were wonderful to spend some time with. And to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

Sophie Sullivan is a must-red for me because she always writes great characters and fun romance. This is no exception. While the situation Presley finds herself in is kind of unbelievable, I like the Hallmark Movie premise. I really liked the characters in this one and Beckett is swoon-worthy. The narration of this was great!

Sophie Sullivan is one of my top favorite auto buy/read authors that is definitely not shared enough. I adore each and every one of her books and look forward to more. Her writing is perfection and her characters come alive on the page. Well done! Fantastic narration and great book!

I’m a big Sophie Sullivan fan and have come to look forward to her books every January!

This was a sweet book and the chemistry between Presley and Beckett was great! I especially loved the Michigan really setting. It was fun to see Presley push out of her comfort zone and Beckett there to support her no matter what! Low on drama and very heartwarming

I am definitely hoping we get Beckett’s siblings books next!!

What to expect::
•Opposites attract
•Forced proximity
•Sweet family and friends
•Great Michigan lake/resort setting
•3rd person, dual POV

🎧This doesn’t happen often, but I wish I had read the ebook of this one. The female narrator was good, but I wanted a male voice for Beckett’s chapters.

This one is so cute - we love a sweet romance and this one has all the things! I love how Beckett and Presley are drawn together while they are both out of their comfort zone!

This was precious. I appreciate and enjoy romances so much more when the main characters make the choice to give up everything and move for more than just the love interest and this book does that perfectly. Plus I found both characters to be actually likeable and I find myself hoping that there will be more books with this family since their happened to be two very single siblings remaining....
