A lovely dual time line story! Eleanor is meant to be organizing a music festival on Brannock Island but Bruno isn't happy about it. And then she realizes that the history of her family runs strong on the Island, especially during WWII. Fans of the genre will enjoy the atmospherics and the twists as well as the well formed characters. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

I love reading books like this (especially on a cold damp day). A feel good story set during two time periods, the novel grabbed me from the beginning. A young woman seeking anwers on who she is travels to St. Brannock's Island to set up a music festival. Once there, she pieces together her family history through people she meets. Traveling back and forth from WWII to the present, the storyline kept me reading until late into the night! I can't wait to read othr books by this author.

I liked this book. I like the books COTTAGE BY THE SEA...they are intriguing and such fun to read. This talented author has written another page turner. The characters are realistic and keep the story moving quickly. Even the title caught my eye...Second Chances at...Just the type of book I enjoy. Curl up in a comfy chair...grab a cup of steaming herbal tea...maybe a scone...become lost for an afternoon at the Cottage by the Sea...Again, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more. Can’t wait for more from this gifted author. Thanks Netgalley.
