My son loved this books, he loved all the vehicles involved in the story. He thought it was hilarious that Mikey kept flattening things.
Such a sweet story involving children getting their own construction vehicles and having a little adventure with them. It is illustrated really well, they grab children's attention.

The Day I Had a Bulldozer by Ashley Wall is a charming children's book that captivates its young audience with a story of imagination and adventure.

The main character, Luke, along with his dog and friends, embark on a construction adventure with various vehicles, bringing a sense of excitement and creativity to the narrative.
The book's lively illustrations and quick-paced storytelling are perfect for maintaining the attention of young readers, especially those with a fascination for heavy machinery. Themes of problem-solving and understanding mistakes are woven throughout, adding educational value.

While the story primarily appeals to children with an interest in construction vehicles, its underlying messages about friendship and teamwork make it a worthwhile read for a broader audience. The book's imaginative approach to everyday play and its emphasis on inclusive fun make it a delightful addition to any young reader's collection.

Luke and his friends show how vivid imagination is within children. He’s eager to show his friends that he has a bulldozer, but is surprised when his friends also have construction vehicles. Luke and his friends encourage each other and team up to complete a task. This book was such a sweet read.

Cute story! I think this story definitely has a more limited audience since the overall theme is construction vehicles but my 3 year old son loved it! The artwork was funny and creative. It also provided educational tools on how to communicate with your friends, even after mistakes.

Thank you so much to MamaBear Books and NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book to review!

The Day I had a Bulldozer follows the main character, Luke and his dog as he discovers that he has a Bulldozer with his name on it in front of his house! He goes to find his other friends and find they all have heavy equipment too! There's a dump truck, a steamroller and an excavator to round out the whole crew! They go to park and find they have some work to do, but that's all I'll say. I'll leave the rest, dear reader, up to you to find out!

This book is perfect for my little guy! He's 3 years old and LOVES heavy machinery (probably doesn't help that his grandpa has his own excavation business lol!) The pages are quick so that it will keep his short attention span, and the artwork is cute and vibrant so that will definitely help with keeping his attention. If I had a physical of this book I'm sure it would be the new favorite! Also, there's a nice theme of problem-solving and understanding about mistakes throughout the book that I really appreciate.

If you have a little one who loves construction equipment and fun colorful stories, then The Day I Had a Bulldozer will be perfect for your family!

Wow! I was not expecting to love this book so much!

I cannot wait to add the physical copies to our shelves.
I loved the diversity in characters and the imagination play.. I almost just wish the story was a little longer or the kids got to use the equipment just a little more.

It was so fun to get a sneak peak at the end at what book could be coming next.. at least I hope!

Thank you NetGalley and MamaBear Books for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review

Love the art style in this book, it feels really original. The story followed a fun adventure with friends (& a silly dog of course), with little hints of educational facts about machinery too - a very fun time!

This book was adorable! It was great to see how the children worked together to accomplish little tasks. The dog popping up throughout the story would keep my toddler entertained. I'm sure he could imagine this happening with his friends. The illustration was great! Overall, would recommend to parents with children interested in construction vehicles!
