This talented author has written a story of intrigue with family and friends…romance and secrets…danger…helpful people…red herrings…this is a mystery that moves quickly with realistic characters…the main character is trying to save her child from those who would harm both of them. It is not easy as she stays on the run. Do not try to discern the ending too early. Thanks Netgalley

My heart went out to Missy and Penny both.
I loved how the characters turned to God in their times of need.
He's there for us all the time. God is good all the time. We just need to learn to trust no matter the situation.
He's in control over everything including us.
A very enjoyable read. I didn't want it to end and I was happy to see the cousins from the other books especially Luke!

This was a great law enforcement romance. With a mom and her traumatized child on the run, our hero cop steps in to help. With bad guys showing up all over the place, tension is high. This is a clean, Christian romance that has good familial connections. It also has a strong connection to the previous books in this series but reads well as a standalone.

I'm so glad that I took a chance on reading these Love Inspired books because I have enjoyed each one. This book has just the right amount of mystery, suspense and romance to keep me turning the pages. I really enjoyed the characters Caleb, Missy, Penny, Luke and Hannah.

"Dangerous Texas Hideout" is a Christian romantic suspense. Penny will do anything to protect her daughter, who's now in danger because she's the critical witness in a bank robbery case. No matter where they went to hide, the bad guys found them. Caleb and the others in the case were busy looking for who was leaking their location and trying to protect Penny and her daughter. The suspense came from the repeated attacks on Penny and her daughter. Penny's dead husband was an abuser, so she liked that she felt safe and admired around Caleb. His mother abandoned him as a tween, so Caleb admired that Penny was so devoted to her daughter (plus Penny's pretty). One thing I didn't get was why Caleb was convinced Penny couldn't someday come back to visit him if she and her daughter went into witness protection. The girl was only in danger until the trial was over, so they could come back afterward. Caleb and Penny got married almost immediately after they stopped the attacker, so that was a pretty rushed stranger-to-married timeline.

Penny learned that she could trust that God is good and in control even when bad things are happening. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable romantic suspense.
