Really great workbook. I ended up borrowing the physical copy from the library. Good for advanced beginners.

I thought this was really well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I think it will find readers at our library, so we will definitely be purchasing for the collection.

Inner child and trauma healing seem to be popular self-help trends right now. A Woman’s Guide to Inner Child Healing contains a variety of journal prompts, worksheets, and tips that promise to teach you how to “connect with your younger self…, reparent your inner child,
and gain closure and healing.” For those interested in those goals, this workbook may be worth reviewing.

Easy, quick read that can be polished off in one sitting. Full of journal prompts and actions steps. Has some great aha moments, especially for those with childhood wounds. Would recommend for anyone with light trauma who can work through their past without a therapist to guide them. Would not recommend for victims of severe trauma or abuse.

As a nutritionist, I feel inner child work is a part of our overall healing. Our bodies hold on to trauma and manifest in ways we least expect. I enjoyed reading this book and will use it as a resource for clients. While I was gifted the e-book, I recommend buying a hard copy to highlight and take notes (trust me, you will). Buy yourself a journal to use along with the book. As I write this, it’s the beginning of 2024 and this would be a great gift to one’s self to start the new year on a path to healing.

I have never done inner child work and I wanted to for a long time so I was curious to see what this book would recommend. It's broken into three parts and while not all of it spoke to me, I really liked all the exercises and I ended up doing 20 pages of journaling as a result of answering all her prompts. I also loved her honesty, humor and examples. If, like me, you haven't done a ton of work but were curious I think you will like this book.
with gratitude to netgalley and Ulysses Press for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review

I enjoyed the journal prompts, check lists, and some of the exercises in this book. That said, I really struggled to read the remainder of the text because of the girl-bossy tone. It’s hard to take this important work seriously when I’m being referred to as “bestie” throughout the messages.

I really enjoyed this quick read on inner healing. This is a great book for someone just starting out on their healing journey or curious about what inner healing is. Such great actionable tasks and journal prompts - I would recommend purchasing the physical book when it comes out so you can write in it.
I also appreciated the author’s humor which made it so easy to read. I took plenty of notes that I will be revisiting often.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC!
