Book 176 of 200 ~ 2023

🌟🌟🌟🌟

I'm sure if i throw a stone, I would hit someone who has been bullied in one way or another. I was bullied in school for sure and bullies usually are jealous people who either do it to make themselves feel better due to envy or are just..well..shitheads.

While the ending for this may have happened, it isn't the case for many.

I appreciated the links shared as well. In the age of cyberbullying as well as "old school" bullying, this will be helpful to many.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I received an electronic ARC from Legacy Book Publishing through NetGalley.
The message is an important one but the delivery is a bit abrupt. Bullying occurs everywhere and sadly followed AJ through two elementary schools. I appreciate he found the courage to stand up to his bullies and talk with the principal but the resolution felt a bit forced The illustrations are colorful and capture the emotions involved. An information page is included at the end.

How To Overcome Bullying (Hardcover)
by Anthony Juliano
A personal story about bullying and school. The book shows the positive nature of getting adult help with bullying. Because of his principals help AJ was able to connect with his tormentors and find ways to become friends at his new school. This affected the rest of his life, as he graduated from school and found a stable job because he learned to find connections with others.
This is a good resource for schools to have since it helps kids have the courage to reach out for help in difficult situations.
