This book was slow to start but eventually I warmed up to it. This was the "Rapunzel" themed book of the series. I thought the authors did a good job bringing the fairytale to real life. 3 stars

I love these authors and anything they write is perfection. I saw this being offered and it was a no brainer to request it. Overall, I loved this retelling of Tangled so much. It was a Disney story for the parents!I loved the twists and also the fact that there was no spice!

This was adorably cheesy and that's totally a good thing. It definitely had moments needing the reader to suspend belief but it was so cute!

Well, this was adorable.

I loved Ren and Fitz so much. They embodied the Tangled characters while also being their own, unique creations. Of course I loved the nods to the movie, especially the frying pan.

Plot wise, it's sweet and fun while also a bit dark and sad and I loved the juxtaposition. I could have easily done with more at the end, but the footnote (of sorts) said what needed to be said.

Overall, CLo was the perfect match for Tangled.

Christina Lauren is always an auto read for me and this may not be their usual type of book but it was still so much fun! A YA retelling of Rapunzel is just pure fun! I flew through this one!

This felt like a slow burn that took forever to get going. It wasn’t in the usual style of Christina Lauren. I would recommend this for someone who like cleaner romance and is trying to get into the genre.

This book was ADORABLE. I think it was the perfect balance of Christina Lauren + Disney! All the characters were portrayed perfect + I found myself giggling the entire book! Can't wait to read the rest of the books from this series!!

This one was cute but took a bit for me to get invested. It def reads like a YA. The steamiest scene is a kiss. I def prefer CL’s spicier reads.

This was a sweet, lighthearted read until the middle-end which gave more suspenseful vibes.

It was good though and the “The End” page was a cute little quick ending which worked well for the story.

I liked it but it just wasn’t my favorite of CL’s books.

I’ve had this one on my shelf since it released and I finally got around to finishing it. I have a 3 year old daughter so I’m well versed in the world of Tangled, and I think the fact that this book is inspired by Tangled is cute. This book was a quick paced, funny, fluffy, lighthearted story.

It had so many movie references which was great, and it even had a bit of mystery which was unexpected. Based on that, that’s really all the book is. Nothing that stood out too much, but cute, quick and witty if you’re looking for something in the romcom department.

A modern spin on rapunzel that I truly adored! The story was expected yet unexpected. I loved the mix of mystery with the intentional romance. Besides romance, it was also a story of finding self and discovering oneself outside of what was taught. I loved this one from Christina Lauren!

I have yet to be disappointed by a Christina lauren book! this was a fun project and I enjoyed it from start to finish. it was a good retelling with all the perfect romance that comes from these authors, and this is definitely not the last I’ll read of this multi-author series!

A reimagining of Disney’s Tangled - Tangled Up in You was a cute and easy weekend read. It came across a little more YA at times, but as always, Christina Lauren delivered a book that kept me interested throughout.

Christina Lauren 🤝 tangled (aka the best Disney movie of all time). Enough said. I absolutely loved it.

I love retellings and this was super cute. I'm normally not the biggest romance genre fan, but I have been known to dip my toes in here and there - and this is definitely one I'm glad to have stumbled upon because I loved it! Rapunzel is one of my favorite fairy tale Princesses, and I was a little concerned about how the romantic modernization would go - but I didn't have anything to worry about! Loved the banter and clever dialogue here, the characters were so witty and fun; you can't always nail that kind of back and forth in a book, but Christina Lauren is great at it and did it again here - love!!

I was honestly so excited I was able to read this book. I am such a Christina Lauren fan and I absolutely will read anything that they write. This book was amazing, loved it and will recommend!

I didn’t know what I was expecting from this book except a fun YA/new adult modern retelling of Tangled/Rapunzel but we got SO much more. Christina Lauren delivered a fantastic story of breaking down walls in order to find the person that you truly are. I kept trying to guess what was going to happen when she got to Kentucky and found her dad and it turned out to be nothing like what I expected.

I loved the characters and I loved their chemistry - I loved the development that both Ren and Fitz experienced and I loved how we saw their relationship development over the course of the book. I was legit shocked by the ending and loved that twist that we got.

This was a cute retelling of the Disney story. Ren is innocent and let free in the world. She meets Fitz who’s the popular boy on campus! They have adventures together and it’s fun to read.
For me personally I don’t like third person and believe there should be a disclaimer for it lol.
Christina lauren is a hit or miss and this one just didn’t do it for me. Very low romance, which I guess makes sense since it’s based on Disney.

A cute read that was enjoyable. I would recommend this one and I look forward to reading more titles by this author.

🎆 This book is part of a Disney series based on the movie Tangled (duh) which wasn’t one I’ve watched many times, re: once. I worried it was going to feel childish and naive based on the first few chapters where a very sheltered girl goes off to college.

🎆 The way the naivety is handled makes it more believable and less Disney. The book starts off with a fun and funny road trip filled with cute moments and mishaps, but then delves into a much more serious overall plot line.

🎆 Will this be a favorite CL book for me? No. I really enjoyed my read but found it overall a little forgettable.

🎆 But yall, forgettable doesn’t mean I didn’t love reading it. I definitely did and would definitely recommend as a nice little cute treat, which was exactly what I needed after the slog of All the Colors of the Dark

So if you need something fun that still touches on serious topics, pick this one up
