The same drama as Dallas, the night time soap opera with Larry Hagman as JR, with a huge piece of Survivor, Miami style thrown in. All drama, all the time could be the subtitle.
The story revolves around an elementary school, but the characters are all grown up. The school moms as they are ruled with an iron fist by the PTA/PAC. It's entertaining to see how Asha Elias has built the cast of characters into a cast of "love to hate" as they entertain readers with their well funded race for PTA president. This could easily become the next Falcon Crest or Desperate Housewives. All it would take is a few more donations to the school fund!!!!

It is a drama about a gaggle of moms in Miami with Big Little Lies vibes. PTA drama in an elementary school filled with the rich and the ultra rich. It was salacious, scandalous and gossipy and so much fun. Almost like reading a Bravo show. I loved all of the chaos, the backstabbing, the glitz and glamour, the one-upping each other, the tension, the pop culture references. I was fully invested in this one and could not stop reading. So much fun.

This was fun! That sounds odd bc this had some serious undertones but the way in which it was written was fun and highly entertaining! Rich people problems, school issues, bullying, money schemes, opulence, it has it all! Many thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this copy for read and review

The beautiful cover is what drew me in. I normally don't have a problem with unlikeable characters but I guess the ones in this story were the exception because they all kind of blended together for me. it was a fun read but the plot didn't draw me in like I'd hoped. Thanks to NetGalley and William Morrow Books for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review - pub day is today!

If you like Big Little Lies, Real Housewives, or badly behaved women, then Pink Glass Houses is for you! When midwesterner, Melody Howard, and her family move to Miami, they are thrust into the world of glitz, glam, rose, parties and the elite elementary school their daughter is enrolled in. As Melody finds her way in the new Miami scene, she begins to morphe into someone her husband doesn't recognize, and as she rises through the ranks of the other PTA moms, tensions arise and come to a breaking point.

First of all, can we take a moment for this beautiful cover!
Similar to the the main characters in the book, though, the interior is much messier than the exterior.
Sunset Academy is the most prestigious elementary school in Miami Beach, and Charlotte Giordani is the alpha PTA mom. She's running for PTA president, and feeling confident about it when she gets a massive donation from billionaire Don Walker and his wife Patricia.
Melody Howard is new to the world of Sunset Academy, a transplant from Kansas. But she quickly finds herself pulled into the glitzy world of her peers. When she decides to run for PTA president too, which she's qualified for with her background in nonprofit management, Charlotte slowly begins to unrabel. And when a white-collar-crime investigation begins, the tensions build toward a wild climax.
If you are a fan of salacious, uber-wealthy thrillers, or even The Real Housewives franchise, you will devour up this insanely fun summer read!

Thank you Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the advanced reader's copy of this publication.
This is perfect back to school novel. A combo of Mean Girls meets PTA moms is a fine read. But I did not come away feeling over the top. Must read on my list. Its a fun novel for a great weekend adventure.

I had so much fun reading this! Rich people behaving badly is always a blast and guilty pleasure of mine. This felt like watching Desperate Housewives with a big glass of rose!

I LOVE a PTA/Mama Drama/Wealthy-Rich People Behaving badly trope and this hit all of those and more.
I could not put this down - it was addicting, compulsive and so well executed. I ready this as a part of my book club and the consensus was the same for all of us: epic!

A stunning setting, terrible people, school drama, mama drama, and so much more - this one had it all for me!
I'm a sucker for a good ol' mama drama and Pink Glass Houses absolutely delivered. Set in Miami, this book takes place at the most prestigious public school in the state. I loved the school elements with the PTA drama, fundraisers, and helicopter moms. The fact that it took place at a public school rather than private made this all the more juicy because of how righteous all the privileged families felt sending their offspring to a public school with the masses.
I listened to this novel on audio and it was fantastic. It's told from the viewpoint of many characters and each one had their own narrator which is something I always love. I thought every narrator was well chosen and added a great level of theater and drama to the story.
This was a super quick read that I couldn't put down. I wanted to devour it in one sitting and probably could have!! It was wildly entertaining and was one of those books where even the good guys were pretty terrible and I loved to hate the whole cast!
Thank you to William Morrow, Libro.fm, and NetGalley for the copy. HIGHLY recommend!!

The timing of this release is perfect with back to school. As a former teacher, I love the school/PTA dramas. This one kept me interested throughout but didn't have anything in it that sucked me in or wowed me.

Think Mean Girls, but PTA moms. Entertaining until the end.
"Pink Glass Houses" by Asha Elias is a seductive social satire centered around the wealthy PTA moms at Sunset Academy, an elite elementary school in Miami Beach. The story follows Charlotte Giordani, the school's dominant PTA mom, and her rivalry with newcomer Melody Howard, all set against a backdrop of opulence, scandal, and a high-stakes investigation into white-collar crime. Told through rotating first-person perspectives, the novel offers a voyeuristic glimpse into the decadent lives of the rich and infamous, where extravagant parties and relentless social climbing are the norm.
Thank you Asha Elias, William Morrow, and Netgalley for the advanced copy!

Lots of drama, this debut is perfect for fans of books like Big little lies but I found it a bit over the top and overly dramatic for my tastes. Just okay on audio and not one I would go out of my way to recommend.
That said, it was still a fun rich people problems, Miami PTA mom scene soap opera style book for those who enjoy that sort of read! Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

Rich people behaving badly? PTA drama? Backstabbing moms? PINK GLASS HOUSES by Asha Elias is dripping with social satire and I couldn’t be more entertained.
The story is told through multiple points of view and moves quickly. Set in the wealthy enclave of Miami Beach, we meet moms who are far too invested in the happenings at their children’s elementary school. Recent midwestern transplant, Melody, finds herself iced out of the school social circle by fundraiser extraordinaire, Charlotte. Lines are drawn when they oppose each other in the upcoming election for the next PTA president. Proving that there’s no age limit on being a mean girl, their face off has dire consequences for the entire school community.
This is a deliciously wicked and highly entertaining debut novel full of morally corrupt characters. The snark is on full display and I enjoyed watching it play out.
Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow Books for the opportunity to read an advance copy in exchange for my unbiased review.

I was immediately drawn to this book by the beautiful cover! It looked like the perfect Summer read, and it did not disappoint! This was definitely a rich people behaving badly story about a bunch of PTA moms in Miami Beach. These people were totally out of control and I was here for the drama!
Poor Melody moves to Miami Beach from Kansas with her husband and daughter. All she wants to do is fit in, but this crew is certainly not very welcoming. What follows is some high level drama, back stabbing and a scandalous arrest of one of the elite in the group. For me this was a perfect fun, frothy Summer book. I was entertained the whole way through! I look forward to reading more from this author.
Thank you to @netgalley, @williammorrow and the author for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed this a lot! A satirical take on over-the-top parents at a top elementary school in Miami. Told through multiple POVs, two moms vie for the coveted role of PTA president. There is also an air of mystery that lingers in the background throughout the book as the opening pages allude to a tragic event. I’ve seen lots of comparisons to Big Little Lies, but the only real similarities between the two is that both deal with moms at a wealthy school. Pink Glass Houses reminds me more of Real Housewives of Miami and Desperate Housewives.
Thank you William Morrow and NetGalley for the digital ARC.

Pink Glass Houses by Asha Elias was utterly addicting!
A multiple POV narrative that made this read even more engaging.
The plot was cleverly woven and it just delivered all the right details at all the right times.
I loved the characters and story-line and I was guessing right up until the end.
Full of wonderful intriguing characters, lots of juicy entertaining drama, mystery and humor.
Thank You NetGalley and William Morrow for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

PINK GLASS HOUSES by Asha Elias was oh, so much fun! If you’re looking for some solid entertainment, look no further—this has oodles of it. It’s also the perfect book to get you into the back to school groove! It’s centered around a handful of wealthy PTA moms at an elite elementary school in Miami Beach. If you love reading about the lifestyles of the super rich and infamous, then this will have you reaching for an extra bag of popcorn. Get ready for some heated PTA meetings, extravagant school fundraisers, over-the-top birthday parties, and cocaine playdates. (Yes, you read that correctly.) PGH is full of juicy drama, social climbing, power-seeking, and reeks of privilege. I’d compare it to BIG LITTLE LIES, CLASS MOM, and THE GIFTED SCHOOL. It’s a super quick read too—just under 300 pages. PINK GLASS HOUSES is out this Tuesday, July 30th, and it gets 4/5 stars from me!

Well Asha Elias is a hell of a writer and in my opinion her debut book is one book that will be hard to top and I can't wait to see how she does it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't put this book down, it was so good!!!!

Welcome to the world of Pink Glass Houses - a satirical novel about the wealthy parents at an elite public elementary school in Miami Beach. It’s the story of a school year and drama centered around the parents and the PTA is told in alternating chapters primarily by five very different mothers. Most of the mothers are unlikable at one time or another (or throughout most of the book in a couple cases), and yet entertaining.
There are a few dramatic moments, once of which was totally predictable from early on in the book, but if you’re there for the parental and PTA drama, that won’t matter! I always like novels about wealthy people behaving badly and Pink Glass Houses fit the bill. Readers who have experience with PTAs may also find that storyline more entertaining/interesting.
Thanks to Netgalley, William Morrow and The Book Club Girl for the opportunity to read Pink Glass Houses in exchange for my review.
