I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.
The second part of this series is more intense than the first one. Madison is being stalked and little does she know, someone knows more about her than she does herself. More exciting, more stalking and way more details.
I loved the continuation of the story, and I can't wait to read the next one in the series, and seeing where exactly this story will unfold, after another cliffhanger.
Literally on the edge of my seat for the entire book. This was a great second installment to the Madison Kate series. I felt like I was on a roller coaster full of twists and turns. There was so much to the story that really added to the plot. So freaking good!!
A special thank you to Tate James, Sourcebook Bloom Books, and Netgalley for gifting me this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This one was full of humor and drama and spicy and I loved it. The characters and the story were all amazing.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.
I read both, Hate and Liar within three days. The books held my attention and I wanted more. The stalker storyline dragged on, with no clues who it can be. I have to keep reading the next book to find out who the stalker is. I give it a 4 star read and I love how the relationships are developing.
Tate James delivers another great story about Madison Kate. That cliffhanger at the end? Insane. I like how she develops the relationships between the characters and I love all the characters in this book. She built up so much suspense in this one with the stalker and the ending I can’t wait to read the next one.
This electrifying second installment in the Madison Kate series completely enthralled me with its intense blend of mystery, romance, and suspense. Madison Kate's journey, marked by betrayal and hidden truths, kept me on the edge of my seat as she navigated the treacherous waters of Shadow Grove, surrounded by those she both desired and distrusted. The intricate web of lies and the looming shadow of a stalker added layers of depth to the plot, making every twist more gripping. The dynamics between Madison Kate and her love interests are tantalizingly complex, weaving a captivating love, betrayal, and resilience story. This book met and exceeded my expectations, leaving me desperate for the next chapter in this enthralling saga.
I just can't say enough about how much I love this series. I'm so proud of Tate James for getting a RH picked up by a publisher. MK and her boys are just EVERYTHING and I love the Shadow Grove world so much. I also love how this is spicy spicy spicy, but there's also a SOLID plot throughout the whole series. Like, it's a GOOD plot but also the ROMANCE is serving.
This is my second Tate James book and I think it will be my last. I was hoping for some growth and some explanations in this book that I didn’t get in the first. It was really just more of the same. I won’t be requesting the next one.
I stopped two and a half chapters in. The writing is really easy to read, the story itself is easy enough to follow, and while it didn’t grip me personally, I can see why people would like it and want to follow Madison along. Three to four stars for the target audience.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC.
This was a thrilling and suspenseful read. It is set in the small town of Shadow Grove, the story follows Madison Kate, a strong-willed and determined protagonist who is trying to uncover the truth about her past while navigating a dangerous game of lies and deceit. Madison Kate finds herself entangled in a twisted web of lies, secrets, and relentless pursuit. Returning to Shadow Grove, where danger lurks at every corner, Madison becomes the target of an unknown stalker who seems to know her deepest secrets. As she navigates through a labyrinth of deception and deceit, Madison must confront the treacherous lies spun by the boys she once trusted. As the ominous words "Liar, liar, pants on fire" haunt Madison, she realizes that the lies she's been told are more sinister than she ever imagined. Someone knows more about her life than she does, playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse. The relentless pursuit and terrifying encounters push Madison to the brink as she tries to uncover the truth and protect herself from harm. With every step, Madison delves deeper into the tangled web of danger and passion, questioning her own sanity and the motives of those around her. The boys she's learning to trust, Archer and his companions, become suspects in her eyes as she uncovers their hidden agendas and secrets. As Madison fights to maintain control, she realizes that her only chance at survival lies in outsmarting her adversaries and unraveling the truth behind the lies. In a world where trust is a liability and deception reigns supreme, Madison must confront her darkest fears and inner demons. The line between friend and foe blurs as she struggles to separate truth from lies, unraveling a complex mystery that threatens to consume her. With each revelation, Madison's resolve strengthens as she refuses to be a pawn in someone else's game. As the stakes rise, Madison must make a daring choice that will determine her fate and expose the depths of the conspiracy that surrounds her.
The characters in this book are well-developed and complex. Madison Kate is a fierce and independent heroine who is not afraid to stand up for herself. The boys in her life, Archer, Jackson, and Chase, are all intriguing and mysterious in their own ways. Their dynamic with Madison Kate is intense and full of chemistry, adding a touch of romance to the story.
One of the things I loved most about this book was the way the author weaves together the themes of trust and betrayal. As the title suggests, lies and deception are at the heart of this story, and the characters must learn to navigate their way through a web of secrets in order to survive.
I highly recommend to anyone looking for a thrilling and addictive read.
The Madison Kate series has it all! Secrets, murder, lies, angst, drama, violence, twists and turns, sex, a sassy heroine, and not one but three hot alphas! This is a spicy read that does keep you flipping the page and looking for more. I'm interested to see what the rest of the series brings.
This picks up a few weeks after the end of book 1 and shit is about to go down. The boys only get better (which is good😅) I’m seriously in love. This book also end on a horrific cliffhanger. I’m sensing a theme, and I don’t think I’m mad. But I am glad I get to read the next book straight away. Highly recommend!
