Our Fault by Mercedes Ron is an intense, fast-paced romance packed with emotional highs, messy relationships, and all the angst you could ask for. With sharp dialogue, strong chemistry, and plenty of twists, Ron creates a rollercoaster of emotions that keeps you flipping pages late into the night.

The characters are flawed yet compelling, and while some tropes feel familiar, the emotional stakes and dynamic relationships make it hard to put down. Ron’s writing captures the push-pull of love, conflict, and self-discovery perfectly.

4 stars — a drama-filled, addictive read that’s perfect for fans of angsty romance with deep emotional undercurrents.

This was just the perfect ending to the story of Nick & Noah! I’ve been invested in their story since the beginning, and it was beautiful to have it come to an end. I wasn’t left with unanswered questions or anything which was great. Love conquers all! I love this series & will miss the characters.

Rating: 3,75 stars ⭐️
Series: Culpables

Our Fault is a heartfelt, emotional read that offers more than just romance, focusing on healing and self-acceptance. 💕

The story follows Valeria and Damien as they navigate a tumultuous relationship filled with misunderstandings, passion, and personal growth. Ron's writing is evocative, drawing readers into the characters' world as they confront family conflicts and past traumas.
The book effectively tackles themes like mental health and the impact of personal struggles on relationships, making the characters feel real and relatable. However, some readers may find the pacing uneven and the dialogue occasionally overly dramatic.

Thank you to Netgalley, Mercedes Ron and the publisher for providing me with this copy. All opinions are my own.

So worth the wait! This book did not disappoint I just couldn't put it down. He wanted Noah but he just couldn't find it on his heart to forgive her. I felt so bad for her.

Thanks to netgalley for the free copy! I received this and book two at the same time, and I’m just now getting to them after finally reading book one. I honestly have nothing nice to say about this book so it will be short. Sibling relationships are a red flag. No.

Meh the conclusion to this trilogy was just not for me. Happy the characters got their happy ending, but the road there in this book just felt annoying and repetitious. Also the reunion reason... yikes.

Finally, the epic conclusion to my guilty pleasure series! I loved this so freaking much. After the cliffhanger ending in the second book, I was so glad to finally see them come together in their happy ever after. I liked seeing both Nick and Noah take the time they needed to heal and grow on their own for themselves, and then be able to come back together as better individuals for each other. There were parts that were difficult emotionally as a reader who cared so much about the characters and what they were dealing with. But even through my frustrations for their actions at times, it still all felt so real and deep. This author is an auto-buy for me now, for anything else she writes that gets translated. The first book in the series is definitely my favorite, but this is a close second. It’s traumatic and toxic, messy and chaotic, and I was addicted to the story the entire time. There was a twist at the end I was totally not expecting, and the suspense got ramped up, and I just absolutely, unexpectedly loved and adored it all. I can’t imagine a better ending to this saga. Also, the way that the title of the book was incorporated into this story, ugh, just so good. I’m so happy that Bloom picked this series up! Otherwise, I may never have had the pleasure of reading it and experiencing one of my favorite romance series ever.

After I was offered this book by NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, I realized this was the 3rd and final book in a series, so I backtracked to get caught up.
The description made me feel like these were right up my recent alley of tough luck multiple trope romance stories.
Well folks, I committed to the series and I made it through the other side alive. I don’t feel like I am any better off having used my time for them.
I suppose I could say this book was ‘the best’ of the series, however the storyline was just TOO much for me. I think the books pushed the tough luck narrative a little too far for my liking.
Although nowhere near the story line of the 50 shades series, I read them similarly, wincing the whole time.

Thank you to NetGalley, Merecedes Ron & Sourcebooks Bloom Books for a digital ARC of Our Fault in exchange for an honest review.

I was so thrilled to finally get the ending to Nick & Noah’s relationship, but, MAN, the book was rough. I don’t mean the writing. The author did a great job. It was just how awful Nick treated Noah through pretty much the entire book and was so relentless on not forgiving her, even though it was clear he still loved her.

I loved this trilogy from start to finish (thank you to Amazon Prime for turning me on to it with the My Fault movie!)

I will recommend this series as a whole because I really don’t think you can recommend just one without the rest of the series.

3.5/5 Stars for this book alone, but 4.5/5 Stars on the entire series.

Sadly, this entire series just makes me feel things I do not want to feel. The relationship between Noah and Nick feels abusive and toxic, while being written about in a romanticized way. Women should never be forced to feel the way Nick makes Noah feels and this story in general (in the previous 2 books as well) is just something I don't want to read. It gives me After vibes to the max, and that series also had me cringing throughout.

I'll sadly be DNF'ing this one due to these reasons.

This was the perfect end, and highly recommend. Some of the themes were difficult thrilling none the less!

I will absolutely not give anything away, but I will say that I feel like this is the most perfect ending for this series. I could not have been happier with the way things turned out. I honestly didn't want the series to end at all and knowing that his was the third and final book really had me on edge. There were so many ways things could have gone and so many different endings that Mercedes Ron could have gone with. She even could have left us with a cliffhanger. But she absolutely ended things in the best possible way. I will be reading this trilogy over and over again and it will go down as one of my favorite trilogies of all time. And that's really saying something for me.

I could not recommend this series or this author more. I cannot wait to read what she has coming up for us next. But I know that I will be first in line to grab a copy, no matter what the storyline may be. Because she took something I thought I would never like for a storyline and completely pulled me in and had me burning up the pages I was turning them so fast. So I trust her with whatever kind of story she gives to us next. I think this may be my favorite book out of the series. Usually I like the first one the best and I thought the first in this trilogy was amazing. But there was just something about this one that was bittersweet and while it had me in tears on more than one occasion, I just absolutely loved it. Do yourself a favor and read all three books. You will be so happy you did.

i have said it before and i will say it again. though i feel like mercedes ron does have a way with words, and has a lot of potential, i feel like Nick and Noah's relationship is too toxic, and glorified. usually this type of relationship is used in books as the toxic relationship with an ex that someone steps out of, and i hope no one reads this and thinks omg i want to have what they have. the book also still definitely has that wattpad vibe, which is okay, but usually of a little lower quality than non wattpad. another reason for my rating is that i just have an aversion to pregnancy trope, but that is a personal preference. i also feel likethere are too many bad things happening to them, in an unrealistic way.

nevertheless, the author shows great promise, and apart from what i have mentioned, the reading is enjoyable, i just couldnt step over these things to be very enthusiastic.

thank you to netgalley and the author for sending me the book in exchange for an honest review

Although the conclusion to Mercedes Ron’s trilogy does have some elements that make it an engaging story, it is very hard to read due to how it problematically handles an incident of sexual assault in the previous book. Nick, the MC’s love interest, is not someone you root for throughout the series, primarily because of his response to this plot device. The way Nick then treats Noah in general, and handles ensuing major life events the two face together, cements his status as an antagonist, despite the fact that he is not meant to be.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC.

I didn’t think this one would wind up being my favorite in the series. Usually for me the endings of series are a bit of a let down. But, I adored this book. I’m so obsessed with Nick and Noah. This easily is one of my top reads of 2024 so far. I’m excited to re-read already because this series was just so comforting for me.
