I'm not entirely sure why but I really didn't love OUR FAULT as much as I had enjoyed the previous books in the series, I'm not saying I hated it but I felt like something was missing and I can't quite put my finger on what that was.
This was a great ending to a series I have really enjoyed! I didn’t think I’d like the payment trope but it worked for me. Really
Enjoyed!
thank you NetGalley for my copy
It's a good ending to the whole series. I do hope we get more stories published in this world. I think it would be nice. Just as a way to continuously see our two faves.
Thank you so much for the ARC of Our Fault. After reading the first two books in the series and really enjoying them I couldn’t wait to read this one, especially since the second book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger!
I couldn’t wait to see what’s next in Nick’s and Noah’s story and if it’s even possible for them to ever be together and forgive the things that could be hard to forgive. Their love has always been strong but can it survive all of the challenges that life puts in their way? This book made me experience so many emotions..sadness, frustration and happiness, definitely made me worry quite a few times!
I would definitely recommend reading this book!
Our Fault picks up a few months after the end of Your Fault and Nick and Noah have broken up due to Noah’s actions at the end of the second book. I consider this series an unrealistic soap opera filled with constant twists and turns. Throughout the series Nick and Noah’s relationship is toxic and I didn’t like how Nick treated Noah throughout much of this book (or series for that matter). I feel like the reason for their breakup was hypocritical, especially considering Nick’s actions and behavior. While I was (mostly) entertained and got through the book quickly, I would have enjoyed the ending more if Nick and Noah spent time working on themselves, going to therapy and healing from their trauma before getting back together. I also didn’t like the reason for Nick and Noah getting back together and without the personal growth it feels like their relationship is doomed to be toxic and fail in the long run.
3.5/5
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I haven’t read the other books in this series but I think I’m gonna go back and read the other books since I enjoyed this one. I’m new to Mercedes Ron and I like her writing. The relationship in this book was a little toxic, but I still really enjoyed this book.
Thank you NetGalley & Bloom Books for the arc of this book.
I couldn’t enjoy this book, I tried but this man was horrible, toxic, just a horrible guy. He treated her so horribly, always blamed her for everything and never took any blame, even when he cheated.
I struggle to rate this book, as I think it has veered even further into adult than the last book. I don’t believe this should be marketed in young adult.
The first part of the book was enjoyable enough, but as it veered towards pushing the blame on the victim of assault, that’s where is completely lost me. Every redeemable thing that Nick had built up, came crumbling down.
The pregnancy trope felt like an afterthought of a way to bring them back together.
Mercedes Ron's 'Your Fault,' the second installment in the Culpable Series, picks up Noah and Nick's storyline. Despite my excitement based on the first book and movie, this sequel fell victim to the second book syndrome, leaving me somewhat disappointed. As Noah turns 18, significant changes unfold, but her lingering immaturity becomes bothersome, especially in her interactions with Nick. Surprisingly, Nick's character takes a negative turn, displaying increased hostility. The plot revolves around excessive drama and secrets, offering entertainment but lacking the anticipated growth in Noah and Nick's relationship. Hoping for improvement in the next installment, 'Your Fault' unfortunately portrays them as a toxic couple. While I recommend it for those invested in Noah and Nick's journey, those who disliked the first book may find this installment equally unsatisfying. A rating of 2.75 stars reflects my mixed feelings.
Finally I was able to know the conclusion of of my favourite series.
Noah and Nick have finally seperated from the incidents in book 2, Your Fault, and this time the distance between them was not a repairable one. Noah was finally able to focus on her studies while Nick was giving his full focus to the Leister enterprise and his career in New York. But their friends and family were some common topics that they shared and had to be at their needs as they loved it and for the sake of media they had to look presentable too. Each time they came across eachother, the sparks lit up and every time it gave Noah a hope of future she dreamt with him but Nick turned down her every-single-time!
Finally, when Noah had excepted his denial and ultimately tried to move ahead with a new guy in office, she got the feeling that she was cheating with Nick again, struggling with her own thoughts and emotions, Noah got one of the most unexpected news about herself that she hoped will make the things go worst but it turned out to be the best thing to patch up her broken relationship with Nick.
Meanwhile Nick wasn't sure to do what with Noah, he was struggling hard to stay away from her but the unexpected news of Noah's pregnancy gave him the last indication to mend things with her and start afresh, which he did.
