3.5 stars

I like Joey and Aoife a lot. They are really good together and I love their banter. I liked them in the first two books and was hoping to really get to know them in their own book. This book, while we do get their background, spans about 6 years so we don’t see everything from their relationship, it’s basically the highs and lows. And it ends just before the first book, Binding 13, starts. I really wish the author limited the timeline down and then did flashbacks instead. I’m hoping that the second book isn’t the same format and reads like the first two books, but I have a feeling it will be the same as this where it hops along the timeline until we get to the end of book 2, Keeping 13.

I would recommend this if you liked the previous two books and want to continue the series. The main character does struggle with addiction, so if that’s not something you want to read then knew that in mind.

I absolutely loved Joey and Aoife's story. I devoured this book, and it was not a short read, but I was so captivated by the characters and this story that it was hard for me to put this book down. This friends to lovers' story had me on an emotional rollercoaster ride of emotions in some of the best and worst ways and I know that when it comes to their story it's far from over. This story had me wanting to throat punch some characters and desperately wanting to hug and protect others. There were some characters that can never be redeemed in my eyes after what they've done and how they treated others. There were parts of this story that broke my heart, but this story left me with nothing but love for Joey and Aoife and I hope in the next book they get the HEA they both deserve. This book did not disappoint and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series to get the rest of their story.

[4/5 ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆] I have found the story of Joey and Aoife compelling since Binding 13, this book tells the story of their lives from when they were little until shortly after the events of the first book.

It is very interesting to get to know each one individually, they both have very complex lives in their own way and it is quite captivating to see how they grow until they become the characters we know.

My only regret with this book was that I felt that it would benefit a lot from being told in two timelines, a mix between their present issues and the story of how they met. But am not really complaining much because I loved reading all of their interactions and how they started to forge their friendship/relationship.

saving 6 is everything! i love that we got to go back to the beginning and see how joey & aoife met and see how they fell in love.

this book will hurt and it will make you cry. but joey & aoife are my favorite love story. they’re real, and painful and the definition of what it means to fight for who you love.

joey & aoife are absolutely everything. aoife is feisty and confident. joey is charming & a protector. seeing them grow from friends to lovers & seeing all the frustration, jealousy and banter in between was my favorite part. getting to watch them fall in love was like nothing i’ve ever read about before. i love how they start of as friends. joey doesn’t think he’s good enough for her but will shamelessly flirt with her every chance he gets. aoife wants joey but wants to play it cool.

joey comes from a broken home and does his best to care & provide for his siblings. it takes a toll on him both mentally & physically. aoife is a real friend and the only person joey loves in the world besides his siblings. she never gave up on joey even when he felt like giving up on himself.

their story isn’t easy to read. it’s messy & heartbreaking & you will cry. easily one of my favorite books of all time and highly recommend you read saving 6 & redeeming 6 back to back so you can see how their love story wraps up.

This one is for the “I can fix him” girlies. If you read Binding 13 and Keeping 13 with Shannon and Johnny- then it’s time to read this. This is book three of the series, but this one is the story of Aoife and Joey. This is probably one of my favorite series ever, they are so long but so worth it. This is now the third time I’ve been absolutely amazed by this series and the rollercoaster of emotions that it will take you on. These books have you invested from the very beginning and have great mental health representation. You will laugh. You will cry. You need to read this series. This was absolutely beyond amazing and now it’s time to go straight into book four.

This is one of my favorite series, the detail in that books and the emotions you feel while reading, while yes heartbreaking, the character development in the book got stronger. And it feels at least for me that you can see everything happening in your head as you read,

Joey and Aoife are so incredibly special in a series that already has some many beloved characters, it says a lot that Walsh has continued to immerse audiences with these stories. I wasn’t expecting this book to follow the timeline that it did, given we don’t reach the JohnnyShannon timelines in this book. We spend a lot of time with the build up to there entrance in Binding 13. At times, I felt like we spent a little too long in the past, but I do see why things happened the way they did once I finished! I knew that I would love Joey the protector as well as Aoife (always remember the Bella/Aoife scene as a standout in K13, and now there’s lore to it all!) but they truly shined. What I love the most about this books is that it’s simply incomparable to JS books. They belong in the same series and are intrinsically connected, but they are different and I praise them in different ways. This doesn’t feel like the average interconnected series where one rates the books/couples, because they have something special to say in each.
Thank you so much to NetGalley for the arc

Your Honor I love them I love them I love them I love them

Aoife really surprised me! I wasn’t sure exactly what I was expecting her to be like but I ended up really loving her character. She’s funny and loyal while also holding her ground (and her soft spot for joey looks just like mine lol). I’m so excited to read more of her POV chapters in Redeeming 6.
Joey ended up being exactly who I thought he was and I was already half in love with him in Binding 13 and Keeping 13 but now that I fully understand why is he the way he is I’m just stuck here heartbroken for him. Chloe did a really good job at portraying abuse and how that abuse affects every single person in that environment and from someone who’s lived in a home similar to Joey and Shannon’s, Joeys characterization in Saving 6 felt personal and real for me. I can’t wait for Redeeming 6, I can’t wait to see him happy and I can’t wait to see what happens in Aoife and Joeys relationship.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this ARC!
