This is a story about Siobhan and Anna who are estranged cousins and told from their points of view. They bump into each other in a library after a number of years. Anna thinks that Siobhan has the prefect life with a dream job, luxury apartment and glamorous friends. Anna is struggling as she has lost her job and reluctantly Siobhan agrees that she can stay with her for a few weeks. Little did she realise how much she would regret that decision. Anna soon starts to wear Siobhanβs clothes and dyes her hair to look like her. But things soon begin to go wrong for Siobhan when her friend at the radio station is murdered and she begins to receive mysterious packages. Both of them have hidden secrets as the book switches to and fro from both their stories. The book was full of lies, suspense and had so many twists and turns that had me totally gripped. A very addictive read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book,
Such a good book from start to finish! If you have never read this author, you need to. You will not be disappointed! Highly recommend!
An amazing book that stayed with me long after I read it.
The characters are very believable, their stories unfold very slowly, and there are some moments where I gasped out loud because I was NOT expecting the twists.
It is so well written that I kept changing my mind and my sympathies, nothing about this was predictable.
I also liked the setting, it all felt very real.
i generally like victoria jenkins books which is why i requested this one and i really dont like giving bad reviews however we have to be honest and it took me a bit of time too get through this is thought it was slow in parts, struggled too connect too the characters and it was predictable which is a shame.
Your Perfect Life by Victoria Jenkins is a psychological thriller where Anna, who by all appearances has a perfect life is surprised by the return of an old friend.
Childhood secrets are slowly revealed and Anna is pursued by an unknown threat.
While I enjoyed this book, it was a little bit slow for me.
Victoria Jenkins has written books before that I really enjoyed and this was no different
A domestic thriller that ticks all the boxes and will leave you wanting more
I received a complimentary copy of this book "Your Perfect Life" and all opinions expressed are my own. Overall good. There are twists and suspense, drama. I like the alternating chapters, it made it easy to read.
I'm a huge fan of this author, but unfortunately this was too predictable. I struggled with connecting to the characters as well. It also fell a little flat.
Your Perfect Life offered a mixed story between revenge and survival from past traumatic event. This was my first read from Jenkins and I found the premise really intrigued.
The writing is solid and skillful. The narrative are captivating but the pace is slower thanΒ my usually favorite. Both characters are well written. The author successfully provide readers with unhinged cousins we almost cant trust. Their interaction underlying layer of secret from past and present. When the plot become thicker and tension built, readers will gluing into the pages until the end.
3.5

Anna and Siobhan have been superb characters and Iβve loved their story unfolding has kept me completely hooked. This is well written and perfectly paced. I loved this unfolding and found the characters completely brilliant.
Jenkins is an author who really can pull the reader into the pages. I felt as though I was watching the events and play out. I could easily imagine this on screen.
There are plenty of lies and secrets to be unveiled in this one. The cousins will stop at nothing to get the life of the other. We get to have a real insight into their lives and itβs completely unpredictable.
All of this authors books have been brilliant. However this is quite possibly a favourite. This has been a superb read and completely impossible to put down.
I have no hesitation in recommending this book.

This is a good read for fans of this lend of genre! For me, I always know I am going to like something when the burb tells me someone from the past is coming to bring up something else from the past!
And it does just this, Siobhan trying to do a nice thing for her down beat cousin!
But it never is that simple! I enjoyed it, it was hard to follow at times, but the ending certainly made up for that.
Not a bad Sunday afternoon read.
Good read, the pace was okay. fast start then stalled a bit. The minute you say "perfect life" you know there is someone coming from the past. Just didn't grab me overall, left me feeling a bit confused like I missed something. Maybe jumped around of POV's.
Great thriller that keeps you guessing over the course of the whole book. I loved the main characters and how they played off each other.
Really good premise for a story - Siobhan takes in her cousin Anna but unbeknown to Siobhan, Anna wants her perfect life.
Things get fraught with a stalker involved, secrets abound and huge revelations!
A great twist at the end this book was a really exciting read.

Nice
When Anna meets her older cousin Siobhan after eighteen long years, she can't help but envy her perfect life. With her successful career, her own home and her expensive wardrobe, Siobhan sure seems to have it all, compared to frumpy Anna's own down-in-the-dumps life - divorced and unemployed. Siobhan has always been aware of how obsessed Anna was about her when they were kids, and yet against her better judgement, she impulsively offers her spare room to Anna to help her out. But soon she realizes that Anna's obsession has escalated to dangerous levels with Anna wanting Siobhan's perfect life for herself.
Although it's similar to Nuala Ellwood's The Perfect Life. It's done in a better way.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy.
"Your Perfect Life" by Victoria Jenkins is a suspenseful and intriguing tale that delves into the complexities of identity, secrets, and the haunting consequences of a dark past. The narrative skillfully navigates the life of a protagonist who seemingly has it all β a dream job, a stunning apartment, and glamorous friends β until an unexpected encounter with Anna, a figure from eighteen years ago, unravels the carefully crafted facade.
I rated "Your Perfect Life" 3 stars because while the premise is gripping and the tension is palpable, the execution occasionally leans into familiar thriller tropes. The psychological suspense intensifies as Anna's presence disrupts the protagonist's life, raising questions about her motives and the chilling anonymous phone call.
Jenkins weaves a tale of revenge and protection, with the protagonist grappling with the shadows of a traumatic event. The narrative keeps readers engaged, but some may find the resolution predictable. Overall, "Your Perfect Life" offers a solid psychological thriller experience, blending mystery and suspense to keep readers on edge.
Cousins caught in a cat-and-mouse game - would be my summary for this book.

Victoria Jenkins' latest novel pits two flawed females against each other. Quite often, it was difficult to determine which character deserved more empathy - one was opportunistic, while the other was plain delusional. It was a treat to have plot twists popping up just a couple of chapters into the book and this continued till the very last page.
Overall, a quick read full of suspense and twists. Thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for providing a digital copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review.
This was an enjoyable read that I read very quickly. A psychological thriller with βSingle White Femaleβ vibes.
Anna and Siobhan are cousins. Anna is not so secretly obsessed with her cousin, coveting and envying all that Siobhan is and all that she has. Anna wants her cousinβs life for her own and will do anything to be her.
As perfect and proper as Anna βthinksβ Siobhan is, she is NOT. Siobhan has deep, dark secrets and a relentless unknown stalker who seeks justice.
Two cousins, multiple secrets, stalkers and murders. What secrets will come out and will the real Siobhan get live her own life or will Anna take her place?

Anna and Siobhan are cousins but haven't seen each other for years. Anna is desperate to reconnect and envies Siobhan's perfect life. But in reality, Siobhan has an enemy stalking her...
Your Perfect Life is a psychological thriller set in London.
Siobhan has a good career but Anna is unemployed. Siobhan seems to have it all and Anna wants to be part of her life, basking in her reflected glory. Yet Siobhan is spooked by the delivery of a dozen black roses and a sinister voice calls in to her radio show. Both characters hint at something from their past and it is not going to stay hidden any longer.
The book is written from the first person perspectives of Siobhan and Anna so we can experience their emotions and understand their actions. A quarter of the way through, there was a major shift in emphasis as we realise Anna's darker side and this increased the tension as we anticipate what could happen as she grows closer to Siobhan.
I really liked the way the alternating chapters allowed us to get to know the two main characters. It isn't easy to like either of the women although they felt authentic due to the narrative style. There are lots of clues about the past as well as shocking developments in the present day. I was swept up in the drama as the plot unfolded.
Your Perfect Life is an enjoyable psychological thriller with two strong lead characters.
A pov story so skillfully told. Not everything is black and white and perception is everything. Screaming of single white female this is a story where looking into someone's life from the outside it can seem perfect and youvwant it but is it what you think it.
Anna and siobhan are related . Skillful writing nakes you think one thing and then bang its completely different. It was hard going at tines but as the story revealed itself I hated and loved them both mixed with the mystery past and present. It was a real page turner especially after the twist reveal.
I would highly recommend this. It had vives to me as a potential series.
Thank you netgallery and publisher and author for this 5 star tead
