I really enjoyed YOUR PERFECT LIFE. I also appreciated the alternating points of view of Siobhan and Anna, this format is one of my favorites. I found it to be an easy read with some great twists along the way. Victoria Jenkins kept me guessing and I would be happy to read more of her books in the future.

Many thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for my gifted ARC.

Your Perfect Life by Victoria Jenkins is a great slow-burn thriller that will keep you turning the pages. Very well written, the clever plot unfolds wonderfully with a fantastically well-done twist.
The characters were great, the story itself was excellent and the style of writing was perfect. The multiple POVs was done extremely well and really kept the suspense alive.
I knew I would enjoy this as I have read many books by this author and I have loved them all.
Can’t wait for the next one to come out.

Thank You NetGalley and Bookouture for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

‘ Your life is perfect.’ Anna says, smiling across my dining table. But something in her tone and the glint in her hazel eyes lets me know the comment is laced with jealousy. I sip my wine and smile. Soon she’ll learn that having this life costs more than she could ever imagine…

Anna and Siobhan are cousins that find each other again after a chance encounter at a library. Anna is hiding secrets and as their friendship deepens she tells Siobhan that she is unemployed and has no where to live so Siobhan offers Anna a room in her apartment rent free and thinks it may be nice to have some company for a while instead of living alone. As the weeks move forward Anna begins to take on Siobhan's characteristics including her copying dress sense and even down to getting the same hair cut. This is just the beginning of how Anna infiltrates Siobhan's life and it doesn't take long for her to realise that Anna wishes to be just like her. This is where the story takes off and Siobhan slowly becomes aware of Anna's true intentions. But Siobhan has her own secrets and Anna is about to find out that her cousins life is not as rosy as she thinks and possibly has now put herself in danger.

I did enjoy the book but as I continued to read I pretty well worked out where it was all going and was not really surprised by the events as they unfolded. An easy read that did move along at a reasonable pace and an ending that was quite satisfactory.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for an advanced copy, all opinions are my own.

I have loved previous books by Victoria Jenkins and had high hopes for this one but I just felt it was an OK read. Not a bad story, just not as good as earlier books
Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in return for an honest review

Intense read with ingenious plotting, smooth writing and really twisted characters! Told in alternating chapters, we get a huge twist halfway through that makes us question everything. A truly compelling read!

Thank you NetGalley for another amazing ARC! Your Perfect Life by Victoria Jenkins had all the thrills. There were twists throughout the book, which made for a fast-paced read! The story unfolds through alternating POVs of the two main characters. They are estranged cousins with a dark history. All is not what it seems when they run into each other later in life. I LOVE this style of writing. It adds to the excitement and overall plot. While I would love to give this book a 5 ⭐️ review, I cannot. I thought that the ending was rushed, which for this, it fell short for me. I give it 4 - 4.5 ⭐️s. It was a great read. If you are a fan of psychological thrillers, you will want to add this one to your TBR list. Due out on 1/19/24.

I really enjoyed this dark, twisted domestic thriller. I was quickly drawn into the 2 cousins and raced through to the end. The story kept me guessing and I’d definitely recommend.

⭐️2.9-3.0
Anne and Siobhan are cousins who have been estranged for a long time before a ‘chance’ encounter reunites them.

It started of pretty good, the vibes were alright too but then it pretty quickly fell flat. Maybe a bit more character development was needed as sometimes the story left me feeling befuddled by the vague details and then the character makes this sudden conclusion and 💥…….
While it was not a hit for me, I can see how others might love it.

Many Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC.

I love Jenkins's books and Happily Married was one of my favorite books of last year. I went into this one hoping for the same jaw dropping twists of that one. It didn't have that same level of twists- this is more of a domestic thriller. I really enjoyed the story overall and the characters were complex- Anna weird and Siobhan someone you love to hate. I'd recommend this book! Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Siobhan is being stalked by her cousin, Anna.
Anna makes contact, and inveigles her way into Siobhan's life, practically taking over Siobhan's hairstyle, wardrobe and looks. She is so envious of Siobhan's success.

Dark and twisty. Anna comes across as the psychopath that she is. At first Siobhan seems clueless, but she is smarter than Anna realised, and has a master plan of her own.
I have read a few of this author's books, but this one didn't quite hit the spot for me. I didn't hate the book, but it wasn't as gripping as I expected it to be.

Victoria Jenkins fans will love the book though.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this digital ARC.

My first Victoria Jenkins novel but certainly not my last. This book was huge on the creep factor. Well written and executed. Fantastic characters that kept me flipping pages long into the night.
Thank you NetGalley, Victoria Jenkins and Bookouture for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I liked this. It was okay, the way that crackers are okay as a snack but you're craving fries.
It was weird and twisty and I love weird and twisty. I just wasn't craving this right now today.
I would very much like a chance to listen to this in audiobook form.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving this book to me in exchange my review.

I recently had the pleasure of reading Your Perfect Life by Victoria Jenkins, and I must say, it was a delightful and thought-provoking read. From the very first page, I loved this book. The plot is well-paced, and I found myself constantly wanting to know what would happen next. There were some unexpected twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, and I was satisfied with the way everything came together in the end. One minor critique I have is that at times, the story felt a bit predictable and cliché. However, the strong character development and the underlying messages of the story more than made up for it. Overall, it is a compelling read. Highly recommend.

It took me a while to get into this but I do see the benefit of the slower start to build background and flesh the characters and the situation out a bit more. It's quite far fetched and I was confused by a few conclusions the characters came to but it was still a really good book! And it's a fiction so half the beauty is in reading about things that wouldn't happen every day so we can ignore all that. Its well written and the pace does pick up about half way and then it's like a whole different book full of twists and red herrings. The dual povs worked well and it was just a really decent domestic noir

Siobhan is leading what seems to be the perfect life when her cousin Anna, who she hasn’t seen in almost 20 years, suddenly reappears. Siobhan invites her to stay but then Anna starts dressing and acting more like her. Siobhan has secrets that she wants to stay hidden.

I wanted to like this one more than I did, but it was just lacking suspense for me. I don’t think I got drawn in to the story, so the big reveals weren’t as meaningful.

I loved this amazing psychological thriller - SO gripping!!

Anna is, let's face it, a psychopath (this is very obvious from the get-go, so no spoilers here!) She has recently divorced and has no career to speak of, she is however, OBSESSED with her seemingly 'perfect' cousin, Siobhan.

Siobhan has a successful career as a radio producer, all is well until, boom! A close friend is murdered! This coincides with Anna reaching out to rekindle the relationship between the cousins. I cant say more for risk of spoilers, but I will say this is a GREAT read - it had it all: - plot twists, dark characters, secrets, lies, and all wrapped up in a superbly written novel. This is really the PERFECT read!

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

I have enjoyed books by this author previously. The one is told with chapters being alternated between the two main characters point of view. As each chapter is read, we learn more about the characters and their lives, through which different secrets emerge. Good pacing and overall a good ending.,

Thank you for this ARC.

I’m a bit torn over this book. Whilst it was wholly okay, it started off strong with ‘The Housemaid’ vibes which I devoured, before soon going a bit off track… As I read, it felt as though I were skipping chapters, where character thoughts skipped to the next, immediately knowing/suspecting what the other half was up to. Maybe some more development was needed.
It was okay, but I felt from 45% onwards, I was frowning throughout as I tried to make sense of the story and the characters’ motives.
Overall, the pacing was good, but I was left flummoxed by the sudden jumps of conclusions from each POV, especially the presence of Jack who seems to be very minute, but turns out to have a big part in just two or so chapters. I don’t know, I’m just left feeling a bit ‘eh?’ by this book.

2/2.5 out of 5
