Not gonna lie, it took me a little bit to get into the audiobook. I Read this collection last Christmas and loved it!

Once the first story by Adriana Herrera was mid way through it, I was already loving the audiobook narrator.

This book contains stories by some of my favorite women in romance and I cannot recommended it enough! There’s a little bit for everyone in this book!

I have long been of the mind that the mainstream holiday book selection lacks diversity (even more so than the book world in general, which is also lacking). So I was ecstatic to find this holiday romance anthology by seven beloved Latine authors, with a diverse cast of characters and relationships! 😍 Thank you Dreamscape for my gifted ALC!

💭 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: I loved this bitesized collection of steamy love stories, including romance between a father and his child's teacher, Santa and his sexy elf, two adult film stars, a polyamourus throuple, a romance novelist snowed in with a handsome stranger, and more!

The stories are all different but share similar themes. They're all novellas, but some are shorter / longer than others. I started this one in ebook and finished in audio, and wish I'd done audio the entire time. I loved the narration! Just perfection!

Check this one out if steamy romance is your jam!

Amor Actually is a deliciously spicy anthology of interconnected holiday romances, which gives more than a passing nod to the movie Love, Actually - just without the problematic bits. The stories focus on La Nochebuena, predominantly feature Latinx characters, and there is a whole heap of diversity sexuality wise, but also some age diversity as well. It’s a really sex positive collection and includes stories featuring sex toys, porn stars, polyamory and threesomes. I loved the way consent was centred in these stories. The majority are open-door, often explicitly so - definitely not one to listen to when little ears are around. But if you want diversity and spiciness in your holiday romance reading, and favour feel-good rather than sappy, this is the collection for you. Its New York City setting it earned bonus points from me.

Many thanks to @NetGalley and @dreamscape_media for my ALC. Amor Actually is available now and will be perfect to listen to as you complete your holiday preparations. Just remember your earbuds!

Absolutely adored this collection. I have a physical copy I've been slowly reading each holiday season but going through all of these via the audio was fantastic.

Loved the narration, variation of stories with heat and how each one was unique. It was really great for an anthology of stories from various authors I knew I liked.

This holiday anthology is the perfect collection of stories. Not every story was a hit for me but most of them were. I did enjoy the narrator/s of this. It truly brought the story to life. I think reading the audio book was the best way to consume these stories. I would recommend this novella to anyone looking for Christmas themed reads.

My favorite story in the anthology was Make the Yuletide Gay by Adriana Herrera. Which was not surprising since I love Adriana's stories.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the ALC.

What a precious (and SPICY!) holiday read! You will be smiling all the way as you weave your way through the various relationships chronicled in Amor Actually. There's something about an anthology that feels so cozy and lovely around christmas time, and this ticked all of the boxes.
Thank you for the advanced copy, Netgalley!

This is a great holiday anthology and one I definitely recommend! Some stories I liked more than others but as a whole, it's super solid and worth the read.

Make the Yuletide Gay by Adriana Herrera: pop star is in love with her manager. Age gap, sapphic, bi awakening, lesbian love interest. Loved how queer everything was the characters. There is a LOT of explicit scenes for such a short story but thats my own hang up. It's a great start to this anthology.

Only Yours by Sabrina Sol: mayor in love with community liaison. Cishet, no super explicit on page. Steamy elevator make out scene. The most memorable part of the story was when the mayor was searching for the woman he loves and he keeps getting interrupted by all these different wholesome community members. This one was short and sweet.

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe by Priscilla Oliveras: widowed man falls for his son's music teacher but a dumb admin rule keeps them apart until they find a way around it. This was cute, I liked the son. No explicit on page that I can remember. Cishet.

All I Want for Nochebuena by Alexis Daria: two sex workers film a scene for a sex toy company. I liked this one a lot. It's super queer and sex positive. Sapphic, bisexual and lesbian MCs. Explicit scenes.

Santa's Eager Little Helper by Mia Sosa: woman plans to tell her grumpy crush that she likes him but the plan get derailed and they end up in a sexy Santa and sexy elf costume. Cishet. This was more about individual growth vs the romance. There's a sibling dynamic that gets discussed between the FMC and her brother. The MMC is mostly just grumpy. Not my favorite tbh. One explicit scene.

The Nochebuena Dating Dare by Diana Muñoz Stewart: this was fine. Cishet. Divorced mom falls for the theatre director at her kids school.

Love in Spanglish by Zoey Castile: gonna be honest here, this one didn't work for in as the audio. It's nothing really against the story but since I don't speak Spanish, I was lost for most of it. I think I would've liked it more if I had done the ebook where I could see the words and use the translation tool. Cishet, explicit content. Trapped in a cabin.

To Us, You Are Perfect by Alexis Daria & Adriana Herrera: this was one of my favorites and yes it's probably because it's queer. It's a poly MMF situation where three friends get together. We've got two best friends and then one starts dating a woman. They're a trio (of friends) for years and then the couple gets married. The best friend feels left out and the couple wins him back and convinces him they want to be with him too.

The Great Holiday Escape by Zoey Castile: it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize all these stories were connected through one party. Maybe I should read synopses more. Anyway this is finally GiGis story and I really liked it. She takes a vacation days before her holiday party and meets a couple who she falls for. Again, it's no surprise this was a favorite of mine because it's queer. MMF. Explicit content.

¡Feliz Nochebuena! 🎄
Oh my gosh I loved reading about all of these beautiful Latinx romances.
This is the first full anthology I’ve read so I didn’t know how I would feel about it, but dang this was such a good read!!
Ever story was filled with love, passion, & STEAM🌶!! Whew!!
I loved all the characters and there was a wonderful message about putting yourself first and surrounding yourself with people who truly love you in each of these stories.
All the characters came together in the end and this book was filled with laughter and a lot of love and support.
To me…the best thing about the holidays truly is being surrounded by your loved ones and your heart is just full!❤️💚
This was a perfect Christmas read for me, I will definitely be looking into other books by all of these wonderful authors!
I highly recommend!!
A smile never left my face! 🥰

I loved how it was like the movie Love Actually, but updated. It had so many stories and not everyone was white and straight. It was refreshing to read these short stories by all of these amazing authors in one book.

Overall I absolutely loved this anthology. Some stories were certainly better than others to me, but they all went so well together.

Some personal favorites include:
-Make the Yuletide Gay by Adriana Herrera
-All I Want for Nochebuena by Alexis Daria
-Love in Spanglish by Zoey Castile

These stories are very clearly crafted after the movie Love, Actually and I found myself enjoying each of these stories much more than their film counterparts.

I was also quite (pleasantly) surprised by just how spicy this was.

The narrators did a great job as well.

Definitely recommend this one!

Thanks to Dreamscape Media for this ALC!

As a Love Actually fan, I really enjoyed this twist on the relationships and plots of Love Actually (the movie). The amazing thing about Amor Actually is that it improved on a few of the more problematic plots and fixed things to make you actually root for the couple involved.

This anthology had great representation of different types of couples, and I enjoyed reading all the different dynamics. There also is spice in almost every story, and some of it had me blushing.

The narrators were great and brought so much depth and emotion to all the stories. Even though it looks like there are only two narrators-- they brought different energies and voices to each story and I was surprised to see that there weren't more narrators for this book!

I liked almost all of the stories included, but my favorites were Love in Spanglish by Zoey Castile and To Us You Are Perfect by Alexis Daria and Adrianna Herrera. This was definitely a nice, mostly light, sexy holiday read!

I love an anthology that weaves together at the end just like Love, Actually but this was better. Some of the more problematic storylines in the movie are not problematic and HOT in this.

Make the Yuletide Gay- Adrianna Herrera
This one starts the whole book of with a BANG! It was so hot and so sweet. We have an older popstar with her very attentive assistant- The mutual pining for each other was great and it was low but realistic conflict. One of my top favorites in this anthology.

Only Yours- Sabrina Sol
On the other hand this one was my least favorite idk if it was because it came after the first being so hot and quickly paced that this one felt like it draaagged and I just didn’t care if this guy got to kiss the girl…

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe-Priscilla Oliveras
Héctor and Eneida challenge each other to bring dates to Nochebuenas and he is able to see he really does want something to happen with his son’s music teacher. Honestly a little forgettable but I remember enjoying it.

All I Want for Nochebuena- Alexis Daria
Two adult film stars that have watched each other’s careers closely finally get to work on an ad campaign for a new sex toy line. 🥵🥵🥵 incredibly hot and such a fun story. Another top fav

Santa’s Eager Little Helper- Mia Sosa
Sarina works for her brother but he doesn’t see her as someone that can handle the job she really wants so she uses a Santa cooking show to show him she’s got what it takes whilst letting her cohost Carlos know she’s interested in dating him. This one was fun although Carlos was kind of a crank.

The Nochebuena Dating Dare-Diana Muñoz Stewart
The other story in the Hector and Eneida challenge to find a date for nochebuenas. Eneida is a newly divorced librarian and she and the new acting teacher hit it off quickly but is it too quick for her and her family? It was cute.

Love in Spanglish-Zoey Castile
The Colin firth storyline but she’s the writer and he is the most romantic man alive. This was very cute.

To Us You are Perfect- Alexis Daria and Adrianna Herrera
The Keira Knightley story but a million times better because they are all in love not trying to steal any wives from besties. It could have been spicier but it was good.

The Great Holiday Escape- Zoey Castile
Gigi is the one hosting this party everyone is getting ready for but before the party she meets the men of her dreams on a trip and then has the party where everyone gets together.

A great anthology. I didn’t dislike any of the stories and it was great for the holidays.

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for an advanced listening copy.

This was a lovely spin on Love actually

I liked it more than the original story. So many spicy scenes and lovely moments all centered around Nochebuena

The first and third stories were my favorite!!

Amor Actually is a queer twist on Love Actually written by seven Latina authors.

I generally really enjoy anthologies where the stories are connected in some way. I just didn’t particularly love this one for a few reasons. I’m ace so spice just isn’t really my preference. I also find the original relationship dynamics in Love Actually to be pretty problematic and I’m not sure I enjoyed them here either.

I really enjoyed this. There were some stories near the beginning I wasn't a fan of - I always feel like the first story in an anthology should set the tone for the rest of them, and this one really missed the mark on that. The first story is like 70% sex scene - and a kind of cringey sex scene at that - and I was worried the entire book would just be stories where the romance is extremely rushed followed by mediocre and long sex scenes, BUT luckily that wasn't the case. Don't get me wrong, I love a good sex scene - but I HATE a bad one, and I'd rather have a good closed-door sex scene than a bad explicit one. There's different amounts of spice level throughout the book, and a few of the love stories are very rushed, but there's some nice variety in how many sex scenes you have to sit through, as well as there being 2 f/f romances and 2 f/m/m stories (and 5 m/f stories).

This book is a play on the film Love Actually and some of the stories take plot points from the movie and spin it in new fun ways (for example, Love in Spanglish by Zoey Castile plays on Colin Firth's plot line in the film where a struggling writer goes on a retreat to a secluded house and falls for someone that works there, but they have a language barrier). One of the critiques that Love Actually has gotten since it came out is that a lot of the women in it don't actually have any agency over their lives and are just props for the men in the stories, and this book uses some of the ideas from Love Actually and gives the characters agency (except for Only Yours by Sabrina Sol - which I had kind of liked as a concept, but after finishing it realised the love interest had zero agency in the story and she barely even had any dialogue either, so she really just felt like a prop to the male main character's story).

I also liked how the whole story came together in the end. My favourite stories were probably All I Want for Nochebuena by Alexis Daria (shocking that the story with two adult film stars in it had less sex than the first story); Love in Spanglish by Zoey Castile; and To Us, You Are Perfect by Alexis Daria & Adriana Herrera.

In terms of the audiobook, I was not a fan of the female narrator -her voice was just a bit too perky for my tastes, so I felt like I was being advertised to/listening to that generated TikTok voice the entire time, which really grated on me during sex scenes especially. The male narrator did a good job, but he has way less scenes than the female narrator did.

Also, shout out to the illustrator of the cover, because the cover is GORGEOUS.

So much better than Love Actually, I was particularly fond of the first story about the Latina songstress and her manager. It was even sexier than the story of the actual porn stars. I found the connecting threads to be so charming

The book and stories and the words, representation, emotions, everything about the book itself is amazing! I loved the relationships, especially the first story. However, the audiobook itself was... something. I liked the voices but it was really really slow and there were times when the acting out other characters became too much, even a bit stereotypical. Accents can be a thing, but the way they were saying it heavily for every single line was a little frustrating to me. I loved the book, it was a fun little read, but the audiobook could have been better in my opinion.

My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was a great anthology of spicy romance short stories. I love Alexis Daria and was pleased to be approved for an ARC audiobook. My only wish is that they were longer stories, but that would defeat the purpose I suppose!

A deliciously cozy anthology featuring Latinx stories all set at the same Christmas Eve part. Bitesize and cozy, this is the perfect wintery and holiday anthology for romance fancs, and a perfect audiobook.

Trigger Warnings: cursing, sex, internalized biphobia, homophobia, past death of a wife, terminal illness/cancer, alcohol, sex toys/porn

Representation: Latine, Gay, Bisexual, Black-Dominican, Polyamory, Mexican-Puerto Rican, Puerto Rican, immigrant, Dominican, sex positivity, polyamory

Amor Actually is a holiday romance collection like never before. Nochebuena. One party. Nine Happily Ever Afters. It’s Christmas Eve in New York City, when anything is possible. For these couples, it’s the season to find true love. From second-chances, big leaps, missed connections, and reconnections, this charming collection celebrates the spirit of the holidays and delivers nine perfect HEAs.

I was so excited to see this book come out on audio! This was the perfect anthology on my journey of holiday romances! The stories provide a new spin on the characters from Love Actually, and I had a blast reading this! I do want to say that similarly to many anthologies,
I think several of these were too "instalove" for me. It's worth noting that this collection includes a range of steam levels, perfect for all romance readers. I also always appreciate the various representations throughout the collection! There’s even two stories that are polyamorous, which is so rare to see. Overall I thought this was a good read and a perfect story if you’re in the mood for holiday cheer from a Latinx perspective.
