This book is full of truth that, yes, is biblical, but also speaks to so many foundational truths we all experience as humans. This is my second Joyce Meyer book and I really enjoyed it. I think this is a good read for anyone who wants to experience the fullness of joy that comes with living a simple life. Simple doesn’t mean boring or dull or easy; it means light and free and intentional, and this book will draw from Scripture and biblical wisdom to point you in the right direction. I highly recommend this book! Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this digital ARC.

This book was very inspiring and encouraging. I appreciated the powerful thoughts broken down into bite-size nuggets that were easy to digest and meditate on.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.

Joyce Meyer has written a brand-new devotional featuring ways to combat stress and to live your life in peace. Most of us are struggling with feeling stressed, burned out on living, frustrated that things aren’t going our way, burdened down by our problems, and much more. She shared how we can have joy, peace, and fulfillment again. She explained how at times she was so very overwhelmed and was complaining about her schedule then she realized that she was the one who was making her schedule. She revealed how even in scripture, Jesus stated that he has come to let us enjoy life and it more abundance to the fullest.
One of my favorite chapters discussed how to know God is on our side. She begins by explaining how 10% of people won’t like us. Sometimes we can’t even do anything to change that. There are people who will accept us and like us. We have to remember that God is for us and it doesn’t matter who is against us. He will never leave us or forsake us. Joyce shared how we should focus on what we do have in life and not on what we feel like we are missing. One of the tips, she had for us is to focus on Jesus and don’t get upset when people don’t like us. God is for us and through Him we are able to do whatever we are called to do in life.
Another favorite chapter was focusing on one task at a time. She explained now more effective we can be if we choose to focus on one task at hand. We can learn to stay concentrated and disciplined. She shared how in scripture we are told to not be anxious about anything. We need to learn to practice on living one day at a time and not worried about the future or what could happen. We need to learn to enjoy the current activity we are doing. This will in turn cause us to enjoy our lives more.
I would recommend this inspiring devotional to anyone is ready to experience life more and they are tired of being burdened down by their problems. The principles enclosed in this devotional can assist you in improving the outlook on your life and help you to live it more abundantly. It was a very easy and quick daily read and you need to put into practice what you are reading to really grow.

I absolutely loved how this book was written as a devotional. It allowed me to really ponder each days reading and apply to my life and my circumstances. I appreciate the practical things that I can do to better my life (and the lives of those around me). I also appreciate the lack of fluff that Joyce doesn’t include in her writing.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the blessing of being able to read this advanced copy. Opinions are my own.

I was provided the opportunity to read 'The Joy of an Uncluttered Life' (Kindle Edition) by Joyce Meyer through NetGalley to provide an honest review.
This is the first book I have read by Joyce Meyer and I truthfully thought that I would get more out of it. Meyer states in the beginning that the book is adapted from a previous title of hers, '100 Ways to Simplify Your Life.' The book is divided into 100 bite-size information chunks that provide a general tip for decluttering your life, a bible verse, and then a short narrative that has further information, personal stories from Meyer's life, and reflection.
I went in with the preconceived notion that the "uncluttering" tips would be more tangible (such as a specific area to clean or go through) instead of changes in thought patterns which made it difficult to apply to my life. If you've read any self-help book, you likely have heard every one of the tips but Meyer does provide biblical background to them in a helpful way. It can provide a springboard as a daily devotional to focus on God in all things throughout your day.

This book is written in the style of a devotional, which caught me off guard at first. However, once I adjusted my expectations, I found it to be both compelling and thought-provoking. It encouraged me to reflect on my life and how full it feels right now. I strongly suggest taking your time with this book - read it slowly and carefully, allowing space to consider the author’s message. Invite the Holy Spirit to speak to you through its pages, guiding you to evaluate your life and identify what may need to be let go. I consider this a must-read, but approach it as it is intended - as a devotional.
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from NetGalley.

The Joy of an Uncluttered Life was an easy read that is divided into 100 sections of just a couple pages each. It's a nice devotional filled with common sense to simplify your life. I haven't read a Joyce Meyer book in years, but this looked interesting to me and I read it all in one evening. If I had a physical copy of this book it would be the kind that I would highlight things I want to remember and review in the future. If you've enjoyed other books by Joyce Meyer, you'd probably enjoy this one too!
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.
Publication date: 4 June 2024

I received a complimentary copy and this review is completely my own.
The Joy of an Uncluttered Life piqued my interest and it did not disappoint.
All of Joyce Meyers books are so good!

Joyce Meyer has done it again and written a book filed with little gems of knowledge that pack a powerful point! Each section gives biblical advice on how to declutter your life from items, stress, and a jam packed schedule, so you can embrace life and live it to the fullest. I love how each day is short enough for a devotion but has enough meat to reflect upon. Each day also has a verse that is elaborated in in the passage. You can read several days in one sitting, but I recommend reading a topic a day to think about how it relates to your current situation.

When looking to unclutter your life, do you really want to have to read a long self help book? No... I didn't either lol this was perfectly short chapters, and exactly what you would expect from Joyce Meyers. Each chapter could be a daily devotion that takes roughly 2-3 minutes each. I enjoyed it

The Joy of an Uncluttered Life by Joyce Meyer is an encouraging book; especially if you are feeling overwhelmed. Like most of her books she does a fabulous job balancing encouragement, scripture and practical advice.
I recommend, even if you only put 10% of the tips into action your life is going to improve. well worth it.

I have been a fan of Joyce Meyer for a really long time. I love how she preaches and her sense of humor. This book was really good. At first I thought I would read it as a book, but then I realized it can be read as an devotional. I love that idea because I can read it more than once. I am grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review.

In "The Joy of an Uncluttered Life," Joyce Meyer endeavors to assist individuals who feel overwhelmed by the demands of contemporary life to alleviate feelings of burnout and stress. The text offers 100 practical strategies for simplifying one’s existence, emphasizing the importance of establishing boundaries, maintaining a positive outlook, and engaging in both physical and mental decluttering. Meyer's methodology encourages readers to concentrate on manageable daily actions that can foster a deeper sense of tranquility and facilitate a transformation in mindset towards simplicity. The book is structured to be user-friendly, enabling swift reading or serving as a daily devotional, with biblical themes and scripture content. This is an uplifting, quick read that can be used daily to assist in “uncluttering” your environment and your mind. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance review copy in exchange for my honest review.

I have read many of Meyer's books, and I always find them encouraging. This one is no exception. I love how this is written as daily readings, which makes them a wonderful addition to my devotional time each day. This book contains 100 readings designed to help you unclutter your life. They are short and easy to fit into a busy schedule, and they contain biblically based advice. This book would be appropriate for people of various ages, and it could even be used in a small group setting. As I have come to expect, Meyer's advice is practical and no-nonsense. Tips include boundary setting, slowing down, and keeping your focus on God.

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. Another amazing book by Joyce Meyer. I only wish it was written in chapters instead of daily readings as I could not just stop at one each day.

Our lives are filled with everyday stress to the point we no longer function as we should, our lives become cluttered with things that aren't in our best interest. This book shows you how to slow down and rid ourselves of unnecessary things we don't need. You will want to come back to this book over and over again until you have the life you deserve. Written with understanding of how we let clutter interrupt our thoughts and minds with things we don't need and some humor thrown in .

The Joy of an Uncluttered Life is the first book by Joyce Meyer's that I've read, although I've had several people recommend her books to me previously. This one was adapted from 100 Ways to Simplify Your Life, which I also haven't had the opportunity to read, so I can't make a comparison between the two.
These are 100 short discussions on "uncluttering" your life. Not entirely sold on the uncluttering aspect of the book, but the author does a really nice job of cutting right to the heart of each topic. I've been treating these like a daily devotional. In that respect, they're a little short for me (each one takes about 1 minute to read), but they are convicting, consoling, and encouraging, with solid, biblically-based advice. I felt the topics were broadly applicable to women of all ages. They've been a great lead-in into my evening prayers and reflections.
I rated The Joy of an Uncluttered Life by Joyce Meyer 4/5 stars. I recommend this book as a daily devotional, good for getting started in the mornings, lunch breaks, and winding down in the evenings, especially if you're crunched for time. Would also be great as a gift for the women in your life.
Thank you to NetGalley, Joyce Meyer, and FaithWords for the opportunity to read the ARC of this book. I was not required to write a review and all opinions expressed are my own.

Thank you NetGalley for providing an advanced reader copy of The Joy Of An Uncluttered Life for me to read and review.
I didn’t realize when I first got this book that it was deeply religious based and as an atheist, I had to remind myself to “take what works for me and leave the rest,” a lesson that I learned while attending Alanon meetings in college. Although I’m not religious, I’ve learned to find the parts that speak to and are meaningful to me while still choosing to skip the religious parts since they don’t apply to me.
This book was a good reminder to appreciate the small, simple things in life such as friends, family, nature and life instead, which I think we all could use.

The Joy of an Uncluttered Life is Joyce Meyer's attempt at helping those who are so incredibly overwhelmed with their day-to-day. It reminded me of an episode of Hoarders, and she's one of the specialists tying to help you regain control over your life.
Or as much of it as one can control.
The book is brief, and can be used as a daily devotional, scanned quickly, or read in one sitting. Meyer's advice is quite practical and beneficial for those who need to hear it. From tips like setting boundaries, living debt free, and keeping your focus on God, Meyer does offer common sense advice many need. For others, she may be the voice of permission, letting them know it's okay to say no or keep your opinions to yourself. The core of her book is ultimately a positive one, and I can see how some readers would greatly enjoy this book.
That being said, I did find some issues with the book, hence the three star rating. One: Meyer tends to repeat herself. My husband, a longtime listener, has told me this is common, and for some readers that isn't a bad thing, but it was a bit frustrating for me. Two: Meyers points seem to have a point and then have one Bible verse (sometimes two) to back it up when it should really be the other way around. We base our choices and decisions off the Bible; we don't look for it to support our choices. Third: I have enjoyed listening to Meyer in the past. I don't always agree with her, but I do enjoy her, and admire her transparency. However, some of her points and commentary in this book did not seem theologically sound. Some bordered on prosperity gospel teaching, while another specific point told readers to listen to your heart. I couldn't help but think of the verse that reads how the heart is deceitful, and so I struggled.
Overall, it's an easy read with common sense points many may find beneficial. Like all Christian books outside the Bible I recommend reading this with a grain of salt; being wary and wise while reading books offering religious advice is always beneficial.
Thank you again to the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.
