I really enjoyed this one, with the premise of things being pulled from other 'dimensions' when people use magic! I liked the mystery element and the characters and the action. I have since read the sequel as well and loved the conclusion overall that I went out to buy the two!

I love Astrid's Books, and this one was no exception. Wrongfully convicted criminals, royalty, magic, and monsters in the shadows! A book that was right up my alley. It's the perfect book to read if you love Shadow and Bones.

The story telling and the world-building were amazing, and it felt like I was right there with them, definitely recommend this book, I cannot wait to dive into book two!
