This is the first book by Dog the Bounty Hunter I read. I was a big fan of his when I was a kid. In this book Dog talks about a lot of his childhood and how religion has helped him throughout the years. It also touches on a lot of his personal life before Beth. I think I would have liked a little more about Beth in this book. But I can understand that talking about Beth can bring up a lot of feelings. All in all it wasn't a bad book. I am not crazy about how much religion was in it but that it just how Dog is.

As someone who watched some Dog the Bounty Hunter as a kid, I was intrigued by this book and learning more about Dog's life story. This book started like I thought it would - It felt like an old man sat next to you at the bar who couldn't stop telling his outlandish stories and talking about Jesus. As the book continued on, I enjoyed the stories Dog told more and more.

Dog is always 100% himself and for that, I applaud him. This book is a wild ride including bible quotes, Tony Robbins, children helping catch criminals, and so much more.

Thank you to Net Galley for this ARC!

Chapman takes quotes from scripture and biblical stories and compares them to scenarios from his own life. He uses these comparisons to show you as a reader that faith in God will always prevail even when you’re not in the best place physically and emotionally. Throughout the book, Duane takes you along on the many journey’s/“lives” that has shaped him into the man he is and his relationship with God. Some of these include his marriages, his children, impactful deaths, and his upbringing. I was entertained and moved throughout every page of this book.

I greatly appreciate the opportunity to read and review this book as an ARC.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook.
I was so excited to read this book. I have been watching Dog since I was a teenagers when the show originally aired. I absolutely hate reality TV but I loved this show!
This book was such a wonderful read. I loved the Christian side and the scriptures. I loved hearing about his life and how he found Jesus and how faith has effected his life and family.
I highly recommend for everyone even if you are not a Christian, this book is fascinating and I couldn't put it down.

Duane “Dog” Chapman is a larger than life celebrity to be sure. In this book he tells of his life from childhood to current day. The stories are heavily loaded with his relationshIp with God and how that relationship has affected his life. The book is part autobiography part ministry. The mix of the two slowed the pace for me as I read. If the subject matter appeals to you I would recommend it. He has written other books that I have not read. They may contain similar subject matter.
Thanks to Nelson Book for providing an ARC copy for review. All opinions are mine.

Dog the Bounty Hunter, also known as Duane Lee Chapman, tells the story of his life from the start to where he is today. The book was very well written, and easy to relate to. I am a huge fan of Dog's and enjoyed watching his show when it was on the air.

Dog has been pretty quiet since Beth's passing except when he was hunting Brian Laundrie and when he married his new wife, Francie, who was also mourning the loss of her husband. I knew very little about Dog aside from what was aired on the tv show, and the occasional interview - however, after reading this book, I feel that I have a better understanding of who Dog is as a person. I have to admit that I was not aware of some of the bigger things that had gone on in Dog's life as a child and teenager - Dog has faced many trials and tribulations that he has had to overcome in his lifetime. Dog provides an outlook on his faith and how he has been born again, and how he uses his career to witness to others about his Lord and Savior.

Thank you to Netgalley and Nelson Books for the opportunity to read and review this ARC before it's published date!

4/5 Stars: I loved the flow of the book, and the book is very well written with next to none grammatical errors. It was not my top read of the year so far, but, it definitely is a book that I would recommend to my fellow readers who are fans of biographies and autobiographies. This book is highly anticipated, and will no doubt make the best selling charts. I was able to read this book before it's published date. Thank you again to Netgalley and Nelson books! When selected for the ARC, I downloaded the ARC to my Kindle Paperwhite, however, the formatting was a little out of sorts, which I am sure will be corrected before the publishing date. The only thing I would have liked to see as a reader who frequently reads biographies and autobiographies would be some photos of Dog throughout the novel that correspond with Dog's story. I think having photos makes the reading experience a little more personal.

I didn't love this one but I also didn't hate this one. However I'm not sure how I feel about this one.

Duane Lee Chapman, better known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, tells the story of his life in this book. Chapman also gives a generous helping of his faith and born again religion as he relates his deprived childhood, petty (and not so petty) criminal teens and young adulthood. Dog has also been married six times and has 13 children- talk about colorful! The book reads as though Chapman is telling the story orally, which sometimes makes the narrative suffer. For Dog fans, this is a must read.

This was just so good, I loved the balance of his faith mixed with the stories of anecdotes of his life.
I loved his TV show back in 2012 and I hadn’t heard much from him until I saw that he had published this so whilst I knew his story a little I wasn’t aware of some of the bigger stuff.
In the beginning some of the faith stuff and the bible stories where a little much, but after the first few pages Dog’s personality comes through and you can’t help but be swept up in his story telling.
Thank you NetGalley, and Nelson books for the chance to read this ARC.

As someone familiar with Dog the Bounty Hunter this was a fun books and reads as though Dog is speaking directly to you. I had not read any of his previous books, or honestly, watching his last couple of TV shows so it was enjoyable to remind myself of what I enjoyed about watching him on TV. Getting a bit of a backstory of Dog and reading about what has lead up to where he is currently at was also great.

The book is heavy on religion, which is made clear in reading the back cover. This did result in me skimming through large sentence blocks and the very last chapter. The content between the preaching was enjoyable. The preaching itself was to be expected, and did not deter from readability.

Awesome book. Inspirational.
Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.
