When I think of Robert Brynzda I think of him as a crime writer. Well that was until now… RomCom & crime are two quite distinct genres, yet somehow he writes both, both to a high standard!
Miss Wrong and Mr Right is full of funniness & awesome characters! You’ll fall in love with most of the quirky & often hilarious characters. You’ll also find a few characters that you absolutely loathe!
The very beginning of Miss Wrong and Mr Right is when Natalie has just left her childhood sweetheart, Jamie, at the alter after getting cold feet. Natalie goes on to have a successful career running a theatre in London, but ever since Jamie she’s been pretty unlucky in love…
Then some 15 years later Natalie and Jamie are reunited. This time as competitors. They’re going head-to-head & they’re both determined to win! Both sure that their theatres and their new shows will be better than the other…
They’re adversaries. Or are they???
I loved the story & the narrator! And I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for what Robert Bryndza publishes next in both the crime and RomCom categories.
This story was a bit of a train wreck. It might be great if you like stories of people behaving badly. But overall, there wasn't much to recommend it. I did enjoy the main character's grandmother, and the narrator did a great job of bringing each character to life. But the story itself wasn't my cup of tea.
Thank you to Robert Bryndza, Raven Street Publishing, and NetGalley for an advance review copy.
The book opens with Natalie burning her wedding dress - on her wedding day. She has just decided that she can't marry Jaime - at least not now.
Fifteen years later, Natalie has a successful theater and they've snagged an American TV actor to play MacBeth. Turns out he's a recovering alcoholic who isn't quite successful yet.
Across the street from Natalie's theater, Jaime pops up with a competing theater, and a famous, sexy personality as his fiancé.
And Natalie's current boyfriend is very taken-with-himself as a yoga instructor. And her Gran, who is an Hungarian immigrant, is nothing but funny.
Not everything goes right for Natalie and she's being buffeted by competing needs. I laughed at loud at some lines. The story was a fun read. I listened to the audio version and the narrator was excellent. I particularly loved her reading Gran's part.

Miss Wrong and Mr. Right is such a great romcom. It is funny, it is entertaining and it was such a light and easy read. It’s so simple and easy to follow. Just an all-around great story.

The best character in this story is without a doubt Natalie’s Grandmother. Every time she opened her mouth, she had me laughing. Natlie and her grandmoms relationship is heartwarming and will put a smile on your face. Natalie grows significantly in this one and I enjoyed watching her growth throughout this story, especially as she navigated through these different relationships. Not all of the characters are likeable though, there were a few that I would have loved to slap (one being her mother…). But can’t always like every character, right?!

I listened to this one via audiobook and it was narrated by Jan Cramer and I honestly cannot rave enough about how amazing of a job she did with this performance. She nailed Natalies grandmothers’ accent, and she just really brought this one to life for me.

Miss Wrong and Mr. Right is available on Kindle Unlimited and the audiobook was just released on 12/8/23. If you’re looking for a fun romcom that is easy to read and totally addicting – look no further – this is great and I can definitely see this one hitting the big screens. Huge thank you to NetGalley, Robert Bryndza and Raven Street Publishing for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.
This book was an okay book. it wasn't terrible. but I think it just wasn't the rom-com romance for me. I just really didn't connect to the characters.
This was a very fun, light story following Natalie, her kooky Hungarian grandmother, her theater, and so many dudes. Without spoiling who she ends up with, it definitely was a journey! The narrator of the audiobook is great, certain parts legitimately made me laugh aloud. Overall, it was entertaining and kept me engaged while doing very boring things!
Miss Wrong and Mr Right by Robert Bryndza and narrated by Jan Cramer was a excellent audiobook that just gripped me from the beginning till the end. It was a audiobook that just keep on giving and made me laugh out loud in so many places especially as it has a great storyline and a excellent romantic comedy.
If you have loved reading Crime thriller series featuring DCI Erika Foster by Robert Bryndza this is a totally different book but a must read and a book by a brilliant author and not to be missed.
Big thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture audio for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Natalie Love runs a successful London theatre and is about to have a leading Hollywood star on stage. She thinks she may have found her perfect match in her yoga-loving boyfriend Ben. Her Hungarian grandmother arrives in town to stay with Natalie as she has surgery and adds a flair to her life.
Natalie left her childhood sweetheart at the altar fifteen years before and London has been her escape since. Then Jamie turns up in London to produce his own show and rivalry rears its head.
Will the perfect life that Natalie thought she was living remain intact or will the new people introduced into the equation shake things up?
I enjoyed this audiobook as it often had me laughing. I often couldn’t wait to see what her gran would say or do next.
Thank you to NetGalley and Raven Street Publishing for allowing me to listen to an ALC of this novel. #NetGalley #MissWrongMrRight
There were some parts of this book I just found myself not interested in. I enjoyed the relationship of the MC with her grandmother, but after that, I didn't enjoy this as much as I wanted to.
Thank you to Raven Street Publishing and to NetGalley for an ARC of this audiobook.
I had never read any books by this author before, and requested it based on the cover of the audiobook and the title. It didn't dissapoint me at all.
This book was just pure fun. A great Rom-Com with a lot of twists and turns and kept me guessing right up until the last minute.
This book has a lot of great characters,, especially Gran.
The narrator was fantastic.
This book was just engaging, and a great book to end the year!
I was rather surprised that Robert Bryndza had written a rom-com, I was more familiar with his dark and gritty crime fiction, such as the series featuring DCI Erika Foster, so I was curious to see what this was like. I read this and listened to it on audio, just over 8 hours and 15 minutes long, ably narrated by Jan Cramer, who varied the tone and changed the pacing through the book, keeping my attention throughout. I found it largely to be a amusing and entertaining read, although there were aspects that did grate and irritate at times, for example, I am not the greatest fan of slapstick humour and sometimes Natalie Love got on my nerves, her personality a little too blind to what is going on. It begins with Natalie becoming aware a little late in the day that she does not want to get married, deciding to run out as she is walking down the aisle to marry sweetheart Jamie.
Natalie realises she wants more from life than the restricting, insular future that she forsees if she marries Jamie, and refuses to reconsider being with him. Her wedding dress is being burned in a drum as we encounter her larger than life, wildly outrageous Hungarian grandma, Anouska, a major highlight of the book, who offers a way out for Natalie and her best friend, Sharon, to move to the big city life and opportunies of London. It is 15 years later that we catch up with the successful life Natalie has carved out in the theatre, with her self obsessed 'Namaste' boyfriend and yoga instructor, Benjamin, her life set to descend into the ridiculous, becoming manic, crazy and chaotic beyond belief. Professionally, her career is in a great place with Hollywood's Ryan Harrison starring in Macbeth, but then there is the shocking re-entry of Jamie into her life, with his unavoidable presence across the street.
We follow the drama as Natalie tries to work her way through her confusion as to which man is for her, I was desperately hoping, that whatever happened, that she wouldn't settle for Benjamin! This was a light and frothy reading and listening experience that I can see appealing to a wide range of readers, many of whom are likely to enjoy its comedy and humour more than I did, I would like to recommend the engaging audio format. Having said all that, I will look out for Bryndza's next rom-com, but particularly look forward to his next gritty crime fiction book. Many thanks to the publisher for the ALC and ARC.
Unfortunately, I found this book to be boring. It was far too detailed for a very weak plot. The most interesting character was Gran. I couldn't relate to the main character, Natalie. I had a few guffaws of laughter, but overall, I didn't find this rom-com very funny. Some of the dialogue worked. Parts of the book were far-fetched and unrealistic.
Thank you to Netgalley and Raven Street Publishing for this audiobook in exchange for my honest review. 2.5 stars rounded up
Miss Wrong and Mr. Right is an extremely enjoyable rom-com. Years ago Natalie called off her wedding to Jamie at the last minute (aka day of the ceremony). Now it’s years later. Natalie’s life ins’t quite what she expected it to be. While she loves her job running a theater, which is about to start a show featuring a huge Hollywood star, her love life hasn’t exactly thrived. Her current boyfriend is an oddball yoga instructor…who is actually sleeping with his students. And now Jamie has just reappeared in her life. Rich and successful (and still devastatingly handsome) he’s launching a pop up theater of his own just across the street from Natalie’s theater, and the show just so happens to showcases his gorgeous girlfriend. This is a wildly fun story—the pigeon scene early on had me actually laughing out loud—and has some great characters (Natalie’s grandmother is hilarious). Can easily recommend this one for rom-com fans. I’d like to thank Raven Street Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to an review an advanced audio copy of Miss Wrong and Mr. Right.

A fun romantic comedy that had me laughing at the heroine’s antics and cheering her on through the whole book! I loved the grandmother, she was amazing comic relief!
This was such an enjoyable audiobook. I loved how the author was able to give the reader (and listeners) a strong image of Natalie’s life (including work, personal and family relationships). As a Canadian, I loved all the Briticisms that reminded me of my family in the UK. But my favourite part about the story? That would have to go to Natalie’s Gran, Anuskha! The narrator did a fantastic job at imitating the accent of an old Hungarian woman, and I had several moments where I was laughing out loud from the things that came out of Gran’s mouth.
This story included themes like second chances, appreciating family, and not judging others by their appearances. Though there was some character development from the FMC (Natalie), I wished that there was a bit more relationship development between her and the MMC (Jamie). Overall, it was a unique and enjoyable book.

Entertaining and engaging. A recommended purchase for collections where lighter WF and romance is popular.
Pick up this gorgeous hug of a book and get transported to a beautiful place wraps itself round you like a cosy blanket. It has warmth, charm, laugh-out-loud moments and a wistful nostalgia. I absolutely loved it.
Really enjoyed this audio book, funny, fabulous characters and loved the story. I would highly recommend this.
I really enjoyed this book! Robert Bryndza did a wonderful job! It was full of good humor, revenge, and characters that felt relatable. I almost felt like I was listening to a friend tell me about her life throughout. This serves as a good reminder that love will find you when the time is right. Natalie let herself live her life and enjoyed what she had. Natalie’s Nan is amazing and I want to be her when I grow up. Fierce female characters are my favorite as of late.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Raven Street Publishing for gifting me an audio ARC of this romantic comedy by Robert Bryndza and perfectly narrated by. Jan Cramer - 4 stars!
Natalie Love left her first love, Jamie, at the altar, just not ready to commit. She went on a trip to London with her grandmother and never came back home to Devon. She went on to start and run a successful theater company and has a new boyfriend, Benjamin. Plus, there appears to be chemistry with the star of her new show, Ryan. Then her gran shows up at her doorstop, luggage in hand, and Jamie is in town, also running a new theater. Whew!
.If you know and love Robert Bryndza from his crime novels like I do, this was a fun departure! This book was full of good and crazy characters, and the audio narration made it even better. Natalie's Hungarian gran stole every scene - she was delightful! Certainly lots of life lessons amid the lightness too, about friendship, loyalty, second chances.
