Lawyer Scott Terentson and HDD agent Millicent Frost work together to clear her name after she was drugged and framed for murder. But first, they both have to stay alive long enough to find the killer.
There are some authors that grab you as soon as you start reading one of their books. Rebecca is one of them!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving this review.
4/5 stars! This is the 6th entry in the Deep Ops series by author Rebecca Zanetti. I haven't read the other books in this series, but the author did a great job of catching up the reader. The FMC is a socially awkward but brilliant businesswoman. Millie and Scott had amazing chemistry and I didn't expect the final twist. An enjoyable thriller.

This is the 6th book in the Deep Ops series. Some of the favorite characters are back as are some new ones. This is Scott and Millie's story. Fraught with a strong dislike for lawyers, until she needs one to help save her from murder charges. There are some charming, funny, gasp out loud, and steamy parts. 10 out of 10!
This is a standalone read, but why would you want to? All of Ms. Zanetti's books are must reads.
I love Rebecca Zanetti. She is an autobuy author for me. If she writes it I will read it and I love every one. This is the 6th book in the deep Ops series and it was an absolute page turner! I couldn't stop reading it. I can't wait for the next book!
I just reviewed Frostbitten by Rebecca Zanetti. #Frostbitten #NetGalley

Frostbitten is the 6th book in the Deep Ops series. This one is Scott and Millie's story. I have loved all of the book in this series so far and this one is no exception. Scott and Millie have great chemistry and I loved them together. Even though Scott is a lawyer and Millie refuses to date lawyers. Scott manages to worm his way into her heart. I also loved her inventions. I think having her for a real life friend would be really fun.
The mystery was really good. I had an idea of the way it was going, but I wrong in the end. I do love when that happens. There is also a lot of action. When I read a book from this series, I always feel like I'm visiting old quirky friends. I absolutely loved that Wolfe was in this one. He will always be my favorite character in this series, even over Cat and Rosco. I'm not going to give away anything in the book. I highly recommend it as well as the series overall.
I adore this series! Though this book didn't hit quite as hard for me as some of the others, I still really enjoyed it.
Millicent Frost is brilliant with gadgets. She's like the Deep Ops team's own Q from the James Bond movies! But, she also grew up in her family business, an outdoor charter tour company. She's great at so many awesome things. When her Great Aunt, who raised her, is in trouble, she heads home to help. But even more trouble follows Millie to town, and soon she needs the help of her least favorite thing or person in the world: a lawyer.
Scott Terentson is a former Marine, and a GREAT lawyer. He's gotten the Deep Ops team out of a scrape a time or two, and they got him *into* one, in a prior book, that he almost didn't survive. He's always been intrigued by Millie, but he knows he's a hot mess, and a workaholic, and he's not trying to change that any time soon. But, when his case gets Millie into hot water at work, and she finds herself in even hotter water back in West Virginia, he knows he's the man to help her out.
Millie and Scott sizzled on the page together, and their banter was top notch. They both had some unresolved trauma from their distant, and more recent, pasts that caused them issues. Neither felt they were fit for a relationship, or thought they even wanted one, until all they could think about was each other. I enjoyed watching them fighting their feelings, to no avail.
The suspense plot was exciting and kept me guessing, though the villain was truly unhinged and I never would've guessed who it was. The Deep Ops team is always a delight, and Wolfe and Roscoe are my favorite. They both made strong appearances in this story, and I was so happy anytime either of them was on page.
I'm always looking forward to any stories in this world, and I can't wait to see who the next one will be about!
have always loved Rebecca Zanetti; and her Deep Ops series has got to be one of my top favourites of all time romantic suspense series! And the fact that a newest book is coming out soon, I just had to get myself an early ARC of the book via Netgalley!
Loved Millie and Scott together; though Scott surprised me a lot - wasn’t expecting that kind of “dominance” from a man so cam and collected. I loved the comraderie amongst the Deep OPs team; however it was the blind loyalty that they have towards each other that had my heart going “aww” at the end!
Looking forward to the next book in the series - really hoping it’s about JT or one of the British Twins! 🤞🏽

I enjoyed reading the "Deep Ops" series and was happy with the main characters, Scott and Millcent in book number six. It had everything Ms. Zanetti is known for, action, suspense, a strong sense of humor but most of all sizziling main and past characters. I enjoy this and hopefully there is more to come.
This is the second book I've read from the Deep Ops series and I really need to go back and read the first four! Frostbitten is an intriguing story with a plot twist at the end that I did not see coming! Millie is intelligent and adorably quirky with her gadgets and inventions. Scott is a former marine turned lawyer who is drawn to Millie and sticks with her in helping her prove her innocence of the crime she is suspected of.
Deep Ops is my favorite series from Rebecca Zanetti and Frostbitten did not disappoint. There are so many pieces to this plot, including multiple major arcs, that are woven together beautifully without it feeling like too much or overshadowing the relationship developing between Scott and Millie. I loved how Zanetti has been able to organically continue on with this series after the core members of the Deep Ops team were coupled up and I’m looking forward to more books to come.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for my copy to review.
The Deep Ops team is back with Millie and Scott's story. Millie is the gadgets expert for the Deep Ops team and Scott is their lawyer. Millie gets into trouble when she wakes up covered in blood next to her dead ex-boyfriend. Scott feels he owes Millie and wants to help her uncover the murderer in her small home town. These two make a great team and the story kept me guessing who the killer was until the end. All the towns peoples willingness to lie for Millie was a funny addition to the story as well as Millie's older brother who I'm sure we haven't seen the last of. My only complaint is I wish there had been more appearances of the Deep Ops team members, there's only a bit of Wolfe after the half way point.
Thanks to Netgalley for the arc.
There is nothing I love more than a protective alpha hero. I first had my doubts about him beeing a lawyer but boy did Scott deliver. The book was very fast paced and I flew through it. There is a lot going on and the pacing felt a little of sometimes. I overall really liked the book and I will absolutely keep going in this series.
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Net Galley of Frostbitten . I absolutely loved reading this story . It's full of suspense and intrigue and action and steamy sexy times . The characters are entertaining and interesting . I love the humor in the story as well . Homeland Defense Department Agent Millicent Frost is working undercover trying to get information on illegal activity of Werner Dearth a wealthy banker . Attorney Scott Terentson is representing the wife of Werner Dearth in their divorce . Agent Millie got pulled into the divorce case and is really angry with Scott . Her job could be on the line . Millie is threatened by Werner Dearth that he will ruin her . She then receives word that her aunt Mae may have had a heart attack she rushed home to be with her . When she finds herself set up for murder she calls Scott to help her and things get crazy from there . The two find themselves fighting for their lives and looking for answers with some of the HDD teams help . This is a outstanding suspense romance . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
Frostbitten was a fast-paced, action-packed addition to the Deep Ops series, and I loved it. Millie and Trent were a bit on the fringes of the team in prior novels, and I loved getting to know them both much better. Thinking they had to go at it on their own is one of the things I really enjoyed.
Of course, the fact that Millie didn't like lawyers in any way, shape or form just made me root for her and Scott even more.
The tension due to the suspense was just as strong as the sexual tension between Millie and Scott. They are both very strong characters, they know what they want, and how to achieve it. They are also very good at what they do, so it's definitely a wild ride with them as the center of attention.
Former marine turned high-profile lawyer… say no more!
You can always expect an exciting page-turner from Rebecca Zanetti, and Frost Bitten is the 6th book in the Deep Ops series that proves just that. Scott Terentson is definitely what kept me turning the pages. There’s something about a man who fools you with a calm demeanor and a fancy suit, only to be a highly skilled (and very sexy) fighter. His training before settling down behind a computer desk definitely comes in handy when Millie ends up being framed for murder in her small home town.
Millie is reminiscent of a real-life Tinkerbell.
I say Tinkerbell as in the evolved 2008 inventor. Millie makes things happen. Her brain is wired to see a problem, and come up with a very innovative solution. She enjoys taking things apart to learn how they work, and then fix them better than how they started. So she’s cute and quirky. She is very much not a murderer even though someone went to great lengths to frame her. Admittedly, the evidence against her for her ex-boyfriend’s death is pretty damning… enter Scott!
Of course there’s the back and forth banter between Millie and Scott. Scott basically forces Millie to accept his help fighting this case. Neither of them expect that it would lead to threats against Millie, and attempts at taking her life. This is where Scott enters marine mode and gives readers the steamy shivers. The great thing about a romantic suspense story from Rebecca Zanetti is that the romance is never boring, and the murderer reveal is always surprising!
You do not have to read all of the Deep Ops books to appreciate Frost Bitten, but there will be references to the Deep Ops team (and their loving pets) in the story. You might start here, then work your back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Man. My expectations were so high for Millie and Scott. I love, I mean LOVE, the Deep Ops series. Unforgiven was such a kick a$$ story that I expected the same from Frostbitten. I just didn’t get it. The chemistry between Millie and Scott was mild spice at best and the storyline dragged for me. I loved seeing Angus and Wolfe, as well as the others come to the rescue. But part of why I love this series is the Deep Ops team is just that. A team. Millie not wanting to bring them in over and over again was a big disappointment.
That being said, not only do I LOVE this series. I am a huge fan of Rebecca Zannetti and her writing. So on to the next one for me!
Frostbitten by Rebecca Zanetti
Deep Ops #6
Quirky interesting lethal operatives with mad skills, interesting pets, and partners that are perfect for them make this series one I eagerly look forward to reading as each new book is published.
What I liked:
* Millie Frost: brilliant, gadget and mechanical creative genius, raised by her great aunt, works in the family outfitting business, loves her aunt and brother, loved by her community and the Deep Ops Team, framed for murdering Clay
* Scott Terentson: ex-Marine Force-Recon, warrior, lethal, excellent lawyer, has nightmares and PTSD, wealthy, loves his mother, dominant alpha, rather taken with Millie
* The chemistry between Millie and Scott and the way their romance and relationship developed
*JT Frost: Millie’s brother, protective, ex-SEAL, home and helping his aunt with the business, would like to see more of him in the future
* Mae: Millie & JT’s great aunt, owner of the outfitting business, had a health scare, in a relationship with the police chief
* Chief Lawrence Wyatt: solid police skills, honest, respected, cares about his town, fair, a good man, loves Mae
* Roscoe: German Shepherd, likes high heels and booze, a loving dog loved by the team
* Getting to see the team members again and catch up with them – do hope there will be more books in this series – they are a quirky group but endearing and people I would love to have as friends
* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing with twists and turns, great character development, and a conclusion that solved the murder mystery and put more than one evil person behind bars
* All of it really except…
What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Thinking about the warped thinking that allows people to do things that Clay, his friend, the person who murdered him, the thief, and the damage and pain they cause by their actions
* Having to say goodbye to the characters – do hope there will be another book
Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series/ by this author? Yes
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington – Lyrical Underground for the ARC – This is my honest review.
5 Stars
The Deep Ops books are so fun to read. Fascinating but appealing characters, all with special skills and "issues" including the dog Roscoe and cat Kat. This is Millie Frost, the Gadget Girl and Scott Terentson, the hot shot lawyer's story. Scot is more than a lawyer, but former FORECON marine, with all the physical and mental battle scars incurred on the job. He was also recently shot (I think in the last book).
Both of them are on the fringe of Deep Ops, helping out when their skills are needed. And Millie hates lawyers , because they prevented her and her brother from being adopted by their aunt in their formative years, instead being put into the system. They accidentally cross paths, while she is undercover for HDD, planting bugs in the office of a suspect, when she sees something that she shouldn't have. He walks into said office to present papers to the suspect who is in divorce litigations with his wife, Scott's client. Scott then subpoenaed Millie to testify about what she saw in the office, blowing her cover. She then starts getting threats from the suspect.
A few months later, Millie wakes up nude, covered in blood with her fingerprints on the murder weapon, next to the stabbed corpse of an old high school boyfriend, with no memory of how she got there. The chief of police, a friend, finds Scott's business card in her belongings and calls him. Scott drops everything to come to her small town to help. The rest of the team are all on other assignments, so Millie tells no one, but eventually reaches out o Bridget. The mystery and investigation are immediately followed by several attempts on their lives. None stop action as they try to unravel the mystery while not getting killed.
Both characters are flesh out, with the introduction of family and friends. Eventually other members of Deep Ops show up to help. The identity of the murder is a total surprise. But another mystery to me is how Kat can only be 8 months old. It seem to me that I have been reading this terrific series for a number of years.
I was gifted with an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley.com. this is my unbiased and voluntary review.
