This book picks up not too long after Angus's previous book.

Scott has been recovering from the shooting and encounters Millie while both are working on a job. Mayhem ensues where our leads are at each other's throats.

Lots of red herrings here. I was even convinced I had it nailed down to 2 before I changed my mind and got it right. The motive was more selfish than I anticipated given the decedent's behaviors.

A few loose ends where left dangling. I wasn't satisfied there, but maybe we have another story to come.

I thought I was taking a book in a different Zanetti series. The good news, she writes them all with equally interesting details and characters. The bad news, I've not read the entire series. Well, that's not really "bad" news since they stand alone well. Sure there's references and back story that I'd have known more about but this book didn't require me to know the history. Frostbitten was another typically interesting story with plenty of suspense and very relatable (or hatable) characters.

I love Scott. I loved watching him watching Millie. He's endearing when he's attracted to her. The best part, he absolutely is not trying to change or tame her. He loves her crazy smart mind, driving work ethic and is happy to be in her orbit. He's not even put off when she tries to stop him from jumping into her situation. Well, in a total alpha-male way, of course. He's no lovesick puppy. He's still total wolf.

Millie and Scott initially are coincidentally in the same bad place at the same bad time but that quickly explodes on them into them being accused and running from law and criminals alike. There is so much conflict and intrigue in this story to keep me turning pages, anxious to see how they'll get out of this seemingly impossible situation. All while the undeniable attraction builds in a natural, comfortable way.

Millie's family, the Deep Ops crew, they're all great characters. All smart, capable and willing to jump into the fray. I loved them each. It was fun to see the old crew back together too.

I found this book fun, intense and definitely worth the read! Good job, Ms. Zanetti...again!

Thanks to the publisher, author and NetGalley for the ARC.

This might be my favorite or second favorite of the series. Millie & Scott are a great pair. I love how he lets her be herself which in turn makes him love her more. Is there anything better? Plus, you get great suspense, action and Wolf all bundled up for a great weekend of reading.

I love the Deep Ops group. And I've loved Millie since we met her. I loved her and Scott together. It was a great story and kept me guessing until the end. I loved the twist and turns. And now I want a story with JT!

While the two try to clear her name, they continually come under fire. While things heat up between the two, they realize their lives are in danger with the suspect in abundance, Scott needs to call in the team.an
I love how Rebecca made Millie be an inventor of items I now believe I can’t live without, being reminded of small towns and what they do for each other, all the while a killer is in their midst and it’s up to them to find out who to exonerate Millie.

Rebecca Zanetti is a master storyteller, tackling so many different genres and plots. Every time I pick up a book of hers, I know I’m in for a treat. “Frostbitten” returns to the world of Deep Ops with Millie and Scott being our leads. I so enjoy this crazy cast of characters and their found family dynamic. Also really love Roscoe and Kat. Millie is a dynamic, fierce heroine who really brings the A Game in girl power with her wits and skills. Scott is kind of the ideal alpha male with a whole lot of heart. This murder/mystery/romance kept me guessing till the very end and I was blown away at the outcome. Another excellent installment and I really hope there is more to come in the Deep Ops world.

Millicent Frost, an FBI’s gadget and electronics expert, gets caught up in Former Marine turned lawyer Scott Terentson high profile case. This causes them both trouble from the higher ups when Scott calls Millicent as a witness. The two have a sizzling chemistry, and when Millicent wakes up in bed with her dead ex, Scott steps in as her attorney. The tale that unfolds held me captive, made me grin, and delivered the perfect escape on a cold, dreary night.

The case was interesting, and at first Millicent isn’t eager to call in her buddies on the Deep Ops team who are all on assignment, but as the attempts on her life increase, and the prosecutors eyes her for the murder of her ex, she calls Brigid for some background research.

Roscoe played a big part in the story, as Angus was away and the dog was with Frost & Terentson. I love this high heel, alcohol loving pup. I was so glad to see Wolfe, his cat, the twins, and Brigid arrive. Suspense, twists, and heat made for an addictive read.

Zanetti has really created something with this motley crew of agents who have become a family with one heck of a track record. I hope we get many more books in this series.

The story starts out rocky between Millie and Scott. Being a lawyer makes him not one of her favorite people. Dragging her into court as a witness puts her in the hot seat with her boss and on the radar of a bad guy. Scott is exactly who she needs when she is setup to look like she murdered her ex. She has a lot of people out to get her. There is intense chemistry between them as they work to find out who is after Millie.

The story keeps you hooked!

We didn’t get enough of Millie’s skills in her own story.

HDD Agent Millicent Frost is the queen of gadgets. She loves investing things. There isn’t anything in life that she can’t make better with a gadget. Her most recent case took her away from the Deep Ops team and involved planting bugs. Unfortunately, it also put her directly into the middle of attorney Scott Terentson’s divorce. When he subpoena’s her to give testimony against the person she was bugging, it puts her operation and her job in jeopardy–and apparently her life.

When Millie is put on leave by her superior, she returns home to her West Virginia hometown but somehow she wakes up in the bed of her ex-fiancé, covered in his blood and holding the murder weapon which she created. Millie refuses to drag her Deep Op friends into the middle of his craziness but when Scott receives a phone call from the local sheriff telling him that Millie needs legal help, he drops everything to be there for her.

Someone is framing Millie and has no problem killing her to make sure Millie takes the fall for the murder. Then Scott’s client disappears and her husband is making threatening calls to Millie. Is this all related or is this something completely different. Scott knows that it’s time to call in the Deep Ops team for their help but first he has to convince Millie that someone really is playing for keeps.

THOUGHTS:
I love this series but I was disappointed that we didn’t get more Millie inventions in Millie’s own story. She keeps making mental notes of inventions she wants to make, but the only ones we see her use are exploding squirrels. What the heck? There should have been more gadgets involved in Millie’s story. No question.

We also don’t get the full-team until the end of the story and good for Angus for telling Millie that she should have called them immediately.

Millie’s hometown was adorable with everyone creating fake alibis for Millie or calling the sheriff to confess to the murder even though Millie was the one to call the Sheriff while covered in blood. The sheriff was adorable too, even sneaking out of Millie’s Aunt’s window since he didn’t want her to know they were having an affair.

As you know, I love to try to solve the crime before the end. It is a bad habit whenever I read a thriller. This time I said “It would be so crazy if this is what happened,…” and OMG, that’s where she went. I was so happy that she went off the deep end with me.

More Deep Ops! I love these guys!

Ms. Rebecca Zanetti has done it again! Love the Deep Ops series!!! I have been looking forward to Millie Frost's book for a long time. I am so freaking happy that she found her HEA with Scott.❤️❤️❤️Millie is a modern-day Q and superior of all gadgets, Agent with HDD. She falls for the lawyer of the group, Scott. Perfect couple, perfect suspense and mystery in trying to figure out who done it. Filled with tense moments, action, hot sex, and laugh out loud scenes made for a wonderful story. I absolutely adore all of the Deep Ops members from Angus to Nari, Wolfe to Dana Brigid to Raider, Gemma to Jethro, Malcolm to Pippa and newest twin members, Ian and Oliver, make for a great family that always has each other's back! Great read as always. Loved JT, Millie's brother, looking forward to a book for him, too. Loved it 4.5 stars*****

P.S. Now, if we can only get Agent Rutherford on board. I feel that Ms. Zanetti could find just the right person to break through his straight-laced and cool demeanor. He is just so mean! 😂😂😂 I just adore that man!

Another great mystery! Millie runs home to West Virginia when her aunt is sick and somehow wakes up next to a dead body. Lawyer Scott is called in to help her and together they face to solve the mystery before Millie ends up in jail. The chemistry and romance is great as well and Scott has been in previous books, but it was fun getting to know him and loved his protective streak over Millie.

Loved the characters in Millie’s hometown and her brother JT! So many possibility for future stories and love the Deep Ops series. Looking forward to the next!

FROSTBITTEN Deep Ops Book 6 by Rebecca Zanetti
This is yet another addictive, well written romantic suspense with the Deep Ops crew. The others don't have to be read prior, but if you haven't don't deprive yourself! This is a great series, I absolutely love me some Roscoe! The visit with past characters is so welcome.
This time we have Millie, a woman that is brilliant at inventing gadgets to make life better, faster, safer and she works for Homeland Security. She wakes up next to her ex covered in his blood with no imemory of what happened.
Scott, former marine turned lawyer, agrees to take on Millie's case. The emotional connection between the two of them is there from the start. The chemistry between the two of them is palpable. I love these books, and the way Ms. Zanetti creates them. This is 5 stars.

Recently getting a hang of crime drama, I expected a thrilling read with a hint of romance. However this was just the opposite. Millie is HDD agent working undercover when her identity is blown by the MMC Scott who is a lawyer. Scott represents his mother's friend who is in a ugly divorce battle with her husband who is being spied on by Millie.

Suddenly Millie is found at a crime scene with her ex-boyfriend dead and she is the main suspect. The drama unfolds and Millie and Scott try to find out who killed her ex at the same time fending odd contract killers.

Other than the beginning the rest of the book felt like a soap opera with too many plot lines opening and leading nowhere. Even the romance was lackluster. Millie is supposed to be a tech genius but most of it felt words out together and over the top. I just couldn't connect with any character and the ending was pretty anti-climactic.

Just for the beginning, I give this book 2 stars. I thank Net Galley for the e-arc and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I love the Deep Ops series. I think this one was the best one so far. I loved seeing Wolfe is my favorite character in the whole series, I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Loved it!

Scott has a divorce case and Millie is working undercover against the husband, so Scott asks her about his finances but she can tell him anything about her case, still she tells him that the husband got a BJ from his secretary that morning. Fast forward 2 months and Millie has to testify in the divorce trial, complicating her life with work, and getting a threat from the husband. She goes to her hometown and the next morning she wakes nude besides her dead ex-boyfriend. The sheriff sees Scott's card in Millie's things and calls him. From there we get the mystery of who killed the ex-boyfriend while still getting attack, the romance between Scott and Millie, the gossip of a small town and the shenanigans too.
The mystery in this book is great, I was guessing through the whole book and still got surprised at the end.
We get past characters in here too. Roscoe is staying with Scott, Wolfe comes to help with Bridget and the twins, and Kat with him.

Scott is in his thirties. He was a marine and when he was honourably discharged he became a lawyer, one of the best at that. He has nightmares, more so after he got shot one year before (double trauma between his time being a marine and the shooting). He's been apathetic lately, and clearly burnout. He thinks of himself as screwed up and not worthy of Millie, but still he's OTT protective of her and later on possessive too. He thinks Millie looks like Tinker Bell but with the personality of Q, and that she is all light.

Millie is 29 years old, brilliant and sweet. She is a gadget expert, always inventing things. She has always hated lawyers because when her parents died, the state lawyers made her to keep trying foster homes instead of allowing her to live with her great aunt. The only thing she doesn't like of Scott is that he is a lawyer, and she even thinks she's not good enough for him at one point because he's rich and classy and she's a little chaotic.
Scott and Millie are opposites but perfect together and for each other.

Safety: neither virgins but nothing about their pasts (more than Millie dated the ex-boyfriend in High School), no scenes with others, but nothing about if they've been celibate since meeting. No OP drama.

My ARC copy (thank you Netgalley), but it was released on January 2nd so you can pick it up for yourself.

This is part of the Deep Op series (#6) and while I haven't read any other book in the series and it can totally be read as a stand-alone book, I found that I wished I had read the first books. Really it's just my OCD on that part.

This book was fun, and boy do the sparks fly between Millie and Scott! I rooted for them the entire book, you just can't help it. There's just enough mystery to keep you guessing and enough heat to keep you warm!

Deep Ops is one of my favorite series by this author. Well, actually, I think I have read everything she has written. The story takes us back to the team and Millie and Scott who both feel like they are lone wolves but the team claims them as their own. Scott and Millie are drawn to each other but don't want to admit they are. Both trying to stay professional.

When Millie gets in trouble bugging a bank, Scott takes control and tries to not only protect her but also figure out who is out to get her. Add in Roscoe the dog to their adventures and it turns into an unpredictable romp across the county.

I would have been happy if the series had ended with book 7. This one is just icing ont he cake. So glad the author gave us these characters.
