Interesting story with fun danger and action! Plus, that steamy sweet romance! Enjoy the bit of opposites attract going on between Scott and Millie; love that Millie is smart and quirky. Scott has the alpha thing going on, which is nice. I wasn’t fully into the intimate scenes, but they do have great chemistry. Got a bit of a murder mystery going, which is great. Entertaining series!

If you haven't read the Deep Ops series, you might want to read at least the first book, so you know the different characters.

I love this series and Frostbitten is a perfect addition to this series that readers are falling in love with. The characters are so over the top fun. Millicent and Scott are the leads and while they are apart of Deep Ops they are almost secondary characters in most of the books.

The character development blending with action and steamy romance will keep readers wanting more even after they know who the bad guys are. The community that Milli grew up in will have readers laughing so hard. Who threaten to hurt a cat? You know they are evil.

Rebecca Zanetti has the ability to pull readers into her books with feisty women and steamy sexy scenes.

Thank you to netgalley for advance copy of Rebecca Zanetti Frostbitten.

If you haven't picked up a single book of Deep Ops I highly recommend you take the chance. Fun Romantic suspense series with lots of laughs.

FROSTBITTEN by Rebecca Zanetti (#6 Deep Ops)
Enigmatic.

With a wildly gifted mind, and an untamed head of hair to match, petite powerhouse Millicent Frost is brilliant when it comes to gadgets and electronics—less so with people. After an attempt to bust a bank scam goes awry, Millie is in hot water with Homeland Security and targeted by lethal enemies. In the midst of the trouble, she heads home to help out with the family hunting and fishing business. But when their rival competitor and Millie’s ex is murdered, she’s the number one suspect . . .

Irresistible.

Former Marine turned lawyer Scott Terentson devotes himself to getting his clients out of tricky binds. A loner, the last thing he wants is to belong to any team, yet the Deep Ops group considers him one of their own—and he pays the price by getting shot at by their enemies. Now Millie is seeking his help—just as he’s dealing with a brutal fail regarding a recent trial. Both are a headache, yet he’s drawn to Millie in spite of himself. They’re opposites, but maybe the old adage is true . . .

Electric.

Working together, Millie and Scott soon have more on their hands than they bargained for as the danger escalates—along with the sizzling heat between them. And when a disappearance is thrown into the mix, all bets are off . . .

REVIEW

Frostbitten is a great read to start the new reading year. I love the Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti and this is the sixth book, and as always amazing to read because of her characters, because of the plot that doesn’t give away who the real murderer is, and why he’s after her. Really the plot is great, a page-turner, but also Rebecca Zanetti has such a perfect gift to start a story, and a romantic suspense one.
This time everything is more focused on Millie, the little “Q” (as the one on James Bond movies and books) in the team lead by Angus Force, a team part of the Homeland Defense Department. And Scott is the lawyer who helped the team in the past and took a bullet and saving Angus’ life in the previous book.
Millie always dismissed Scott as a fancy lawyer, a gorgeous man, but still a lawyer and she hates the category. She’s also angry with him because he blew-up her mission while she was undercover and he crossed her path working for a client. But when she’s accused of her ex-boyfriend murder, after returning in her hometown, she needs a good lawyer, and he shows up to take charge of her defense, not that Millie made a call for him, it was a nice interference of the Chief of the police who knows her from childhood.
And this is one of the beautiful and funny things of this story, how everyone in town wants to protect her.
Scott is an ex-marine, protective, alpha and stubborn, so no fancy lawyer there, and when the times get tough that’s his cup of tea, and Millie realizes how she was wrong about him.
The chemistry between them is explosive, the plot well developed and I loved the new characters we find in this story as JT, Millie’s brother, her aunt or Scott’s mum.
There’s also a lot of Roscoe time, Angus’ dog. Scott is taking care of him while Angus is away, and Roscoe is a star as always, he’s fun to read. And also part of the team comes to help Scott and protect Millie.
Anytime I read a new book in this series I think how Rebecca Zanetti can do better than the previous book, and I’m so happy about it.
I hope, if my sixth sense is good, that we’ll see more in the future about JT, he could be a good addition to the team…

Exciting and engaging romantic suspense. Interesting family and friends. I skipped over the intimate scenes. Fast-paced page-turner with many surprises. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ out of 5
Ok so this is a really big call to make but I think this might be one of my favourite books of this series. Our heroine is like the equivalent of Q in James Bond- she invents all kinds of gadgets to help her team and our hero is a hot shot lawyer with a military background (so you know he’s definitely going to have that alpha energy).

Our heroine wakes up next to the body of her ex and she is covered in his blood with no memory of how she got there. In order to clear herself of murder charges she looks at trying to find out what happened with the help of a super hot lawyer who can’t help but be drawn to her.

This book definitely brings the suspense as well as romance with an appearance of lots of secondary characters from the rest of the series (including one high heel loving, alcoholic dog IYKYK). I honestly couldn’t put this book down!

Absolutely loved Millie and Scott’s book!! I’m going back and t see ding the rest. Millie, a truly fun gadget maker, finds herself in a pickle of trouble. One she can’t remember. Her and Scott have worked before with a black ops group; Angus and the gang. He gets on board and brings Roscoe, Angus’ dog; who needs AA. This is a storyline that moves quickly! And when you least expect it, you have a full on belly laugh; usually due to Roscoe. Between investigating your own murder case, falling for the lawyer/special recon expert, having the towns people support, and protecting your job; Millie’s life is very full. Thankfully she isn’t alone. The ending will surprise you!! Expect turns where there weren’t any. Enjoy, I’m looking forward to reading the next story in this series.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, suspenseful, sexy and I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.

Loved this! Millie and Scott, the tension breaks and they have their moment. Scott has intrigued me since he first showed up. In Frostbitten, we get to see so much more of him and you will love what you see. Millie was so relatable as this genius, odd-ball, who desperately wants to fit in but just feels like she’s always on the outskirts. They are so perfect for each other. I also enjoyed the secondary characters in this book. In particular, I want to know her brother’s story. Here’s hoping that he will be a hero of his own story somewhere down the line.

Millie is a gizmo and gadget genius who could but Tinkerbell to shame. While home visiting her aunt Mae and brother TJ, she finds herself at the center of a murder investigation. The only problem? She can’t remember a thing… Marine turned lawyer Scott is on the case, defending Millie while trying to unravel the mystery of what exactly happened on Saint Patrick’s night and why. I picked this book up without reading any of the previous in the series and was enthralled by the dynamic characters and the mystery. Now I want to “meet” and understand all the characters in the Deep Ops team! #NewSeriesAlert

Another well written fast paced romantic suspense that had me engaged until the last page While this book cn be read s a stand alone I personally think it is a far better read if you have read the previous books In fact you meet Millicent Frost and Scott Terentsen in previous books in the series but this is there story.

Millie isn't so great with people and when her undercover work is revealed by Scott during one of his court cases it puts her the crosshairs of not only the criminals she was working to uncover but also he work mates at Homeland Security So when she wakes up beside the body of her dead ex boyfriend and her finger prints are on the murder weapon it is obvious she us been set up. Feeling guilty now lawyer and ex marine Scott steps in to prove her innocence. This entails a family cabin and trying to solve who the murder is all while fighting an attraction growing between them It will take help from the Depp Ops team if they are going to crack this case and actually survive it and will there no strings affair become so much more You will have to read to see.

This is book 6 in the Deep Ops series and while it can absolutely be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the previous books before reading this one as the characters are introduced previously and I feel it just adds more to the story. With that being said, in this installment we get Millie and Scott's story. Now Millie is seeking his help—just as he’s dealing with a brutal fail regarding a recent trial. Both are a headache, yet he’s drawn to Millie in spite of himself. They’re opposites, but maybe the old adage is true. Electric. And when a disappearance is thrown into the mix, all bets are off.

I absolutely loved this story from start to finish! Millie cracked me up with some of her antics but I also loved how smart she is and the ideas she comes up with. I loved everything about her. Scott may be a lawyer and has money, but it doesn't define who he is or the things he has done in his life. Throwing these two together, I was iffy at first. And I shouldn't have been because they absolutely just work! I loved how not only their story together plays out but the overall story as well. I was absolutely wrong about who the "bad guy" is and I definitely didn't see that coming! But it played out so well!! I loved seeing the characters from the other books show up and show Millie that she is their family-but then I love all those characters as well!! I loved the introduction of new characters, and I absolutely believe that Millie's brother needs a book!!! Another great read for me and I can't wait for more books in this series!

So, I wholeheartedly admit that the Deep Ops series is one of my favorite romantic suspense series, heavy on the suspense, fabulous characters, great romance, incredible dialogue… And then you get stories like Millie and Scott, who have made their way into the group during the series and fit in seamlessly, but if you’ve never read the other books it works.

Okay, that all said, this has murder, intrigue, divorce drama (not either of them), government spies, corruption, fishing, family drama and an alcoholic dog. No, I’m not kidding about any of that.

I’m giving a full five stars for Frostbitten, book 6 in the Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti! You know when you pick up a contemporary romantic suspense novel by Ms. Zanetti that you’re going to get a well developed plot, twists and turns you don’t see coming, and likable, sometimes damaged, characters with major chemistry.

This book starts with a run in between Agent Millie Frost and attorney Scott Terentson where their cases overlap, that gets her into trouble. Millie heads home and becomes suspect in a murder case in her home town and Scott comes to represent her. From there, the hot, hot chemistry takes off between them while they’re trying to keep Millie safe and figure out who actually murdered her ex. No spoilers, but needless to say, it’s a fast paced plot and the killer was a twist I didn’t see coming. And have no fear, the rest of the Deep Ops crew make an appearance to help Millie and Scott solve the mystery. This book can be read as a standalone, but the whole series is excellent, so why not read them all?

I absolutely loved Millie and Scott's story. This felt a little more like a small town romance with a suspense plot than the other books in the series, although theexplosions and intrigue kept me on my toes and the people in the town who loved Millie kept me laughing with their offers of assistance.
Millie is the tech guru who has a knack for creating gadgets and works for HDD as an undercover agent and has a bone deep hatred of lawyers.
Scott is a lawyer that has been involved in a previous Deep Ops cases and ended up being shot while working with the team. He feels a bit restless with his life but can't pin down exactly why.
The sexual tension between Millie and Scott is palpable throughout and ends up being something they can't continue to deny when they are spending so much time together trying to deal with Millies situation.
It was great to see a lot of the Deep Ops team even though the story is set away from headquarters in Millie's home town and I was so happy that Roscoe was a big part of the story.
This book kept me hooked, I couldn't put it down and the ending was a complete surprise and I love that when I don't see the twists coming.
Another great addition to the Deep Ops series and even though this can easily be read as a stand alone, I would definitely recommend reading the series so you don't miss out on all the fun!

Yet another exhilarating installment in the exceptional Deep Ops series.

The introduction of Scott and Millie and the setup of the plot were brilliantly done. It drew me in right from the start. I loved how Millie’s gadget-making skills spilled over into her everyday life and the book was filled with casual mentions of her weird and wonderful devices, as well as new ideas that popped into her head at random times.

Scott deviated a bit from the usual profile of MCs in this series, in that he was a lawyer and occasionally provided legal advice to Angus’s team of operatives. But then he showed he certainly wasn’t lacking in the skills department and could hold his own against any of the enemies that crossed their paths.

The murder investigation against Millie made some convoluted twists and turns and that was one crazy conclusion. Frostbitten was filled with nail-biting suspense that had me at the edge of my seat more than once.

I can highly recommend this entire series if you like romantic suspense.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Frostbitten by Rebecca Zanetti is the 6th book in the Deep OPs Series. The Deep OPs people are a group of misfits who have found their way into this group of people in some interesting ways. Some are experiencing PTSD, others are brilliant or don’t like authority. Some are a combination of all three.

This story focuses on Millie Frost. All her life she has taken apart things to see how they work and brilliantly tries to improve them. Since her parents have passed, this has led to some problems in her life. This is only one reason she hates lawyers.

After a problem with her previous assignment, she goes home to see her aunt and help with the family’s hunting and fishing business. There, she finds herself as the only suspect in the murder of her former high school boy friend.

Scott Terentson is a former marine and a lawyer. When he finds out that Millie is in trouble, he offers his assistance. Then the real trouble begins. As much as she hates him there is some sort of attraction they both are fighting.

Together they must solve the murder, help Millie with her work problems and determine if they want a relationship.

Also, expect some help from characters in the previous books in this series. I have never met a dog like Roscoe. He is an extremely interesting character with some really bad habits. Kat (It’s really a cat.) makes a brief appearance along with his human caretaker, Wolf.

If you love mystery, suspense, action and watching some interesting relationships develop, this is a must read. Frostbitten is a great addition to this series. I hope there are many more!

Great opposites attract edition to Deep Ops

What happens when a beautiful gadget geek who works for Homeland Security (and HATES lawyers), has to depend on an attorney to prove she isn't a killer? Sparks fly... When these two opposites have to work together they sizzle, if only they can stay alive long enough to see where this new attraction can go.

Millie is an electronics whiz that has worked with the Deep Ops team on several cases and is currently on an uncover case to discover the financial misdeeds of a banking executive for HSS. The same executive is also an unfaithful husband and Scott Terentson is representing his soon to be ex-wife as her divorce attorney as a special favor to his mother. When Millie and Scott collide at the office of the cheater, Scott jeopardizes Millie's undercover job for his client. Once again reinforcing that lawyers cannot be trusted. But when Millie is accused of murder and her life is threatened, it's Scott that comes to her aid and his need to protect quickly turns into something more.

I really enjoyed this edition of the Deep Ops series, which is a must buy for me. I have followed this series from the beginning and it helps to read this series in order since Deep Ops team members make an appearance in this book. It’s what they do when one of their own is in danger. Cannot wait until the next book... And yes, Roscoe is a central character in this book and he may or may not have discovered alcohol and helped himself to some designer heels... Always nice to have some fun in the middle of the murder, mystery and mayhem.

I am a huge fan of Rebecca Zanetti. All of her series. I loved this book. I loved learning more about Millie and Scott. I enjoyed both of their characters, and definitely liked Scott a lot more than I expected I would. The suspense kept you reading, and the team joining in was a definite bonus. I got more Wolf, so how couldn't I be happy? Can’t wait for more.

Another amazing book written by Rebecca Zanetti!! The chemistry between Millie and Scott was explosive! This book had me guessing until the end and I’ll surely read it again.

This is an awesome read. Millie is intensely loyal and kind and can invent anything. Scott is a gonner where she is concerned. When she's set up for the murder of her ex all hell breaks loose when he moves in to help her. I enjoyed the twists and fast pace of this book. The bad guy was a true shock. I didn't have a clue. Sweet ending too.
