Deep Ops Book 6, what a great read.

This was an excellent addition to the Deep Ops series. Scott Terentson, a lawyer who has supported the team in the past, and Millie Frost, a gadget and electronics wizard find themselves embroiled in a fast-paced past murder mystery; the suspect is Millie Frost - the victim, Millie’s ex-boyfriend - when she and Scott team up to solve the mystery, the pace and the steam pick up speed and start what turns out to be a great ride!

From the start this book moves quickly, the action, mystery, and romance along with a surprise ending will make this read one of your best from 2024. While there is some character cross-over from previous books, it can be read as a stand-alone. I would suggest you read Millie and Scott's story, then go back and check out the rest of the series. One of Rebecca Zanetti’s very best.

All opinions and observations are mine alone. Thank you to Kensington for letting me read this ARC.

Frostbitten is the 6th book in the Deep OPs series, a wonderful and absolutely adorable read. Suspense, mystery, kinship and a love both sweet and steaming hot combine to make this a page-turner I didn't want to put down! The team members are often mentioned and play an important role towards the end, but Millie and Scott's fast-paced adventure can easily be read and enjoyed as s standalone. It'll go on my keeper shelf and I'm looking forward to the next in line!

A thrilling mystery with unique characters who have surprising talents. Millicent Frost is the “gadget” expert for the Deep Ops team and has filled her home, and the surrounding area, with “safeguards” Scott Terentson, an attorney, is former military and has his own share of unexpected talents. When Millie is found next to the dead body of her former boyfriend, Clay, she has no memory of what happened? Was she drugged? Scott is defending her, staying close to protect her as they remain in her small town to investigate. Millie knows everyone and the town seems determined to provide alibis for her…they know she isn’t a killer! Her brother JT, former military, has also returned home to help their Aunt Mae with their fishing business. As she and Scott are attacked, shot at, have Molotov cocktails thrown at them while dodging hitmen, will they ever be able to concentrate on finding the person who killed Clay? Non-stop danger for Millie and Scott as the attraction between them can no longer be denied. Will they live long enough to pursue a future, together? Outstanding! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

I love this series and have been looking forward to this book for a while. Although the story didn’t involve the deep ops team as much as I might have hoped, it was still an excellent book. The author is a skilled storyteller, who balances sometimes dark themes with edge of your seat suspense, heart pounding action and witty dialogue. Try as I might, I couldn’t figure out the identity of the killer until the final denouement and it was a shock! Millie is a wonderfully original character who has an inherent dislike for lawyers, yet has no choice but to ask for Scott’s help after he inadvertently gets her into trouble on a previous case. As we and Millie get to know him, it becomes clear that he has a lot more depth and strength than previously supposed. There are some quirky new secondary characters who add some light relief and help balance out all the suspense. This is not a book to be dipped into and read slowly in installments- in fact, I defy any reader not to stay up all night to read it in one go! It really is that gripping!

Frostbitten by Rebecca Zanetti
Deep Ops series #6. Romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone but characters cross between books as a team from the undercover organization.
Millicent Frost is brilliant when it comes to gadgets and electronics - less so with people. She’s in trouble with homeland security because her undercover work was exposed and she’s being threatened by the people she was investigating. When she wakes up next to the body of her ex boyfriend and doesn’t remember how she got to the remote cabin, Millie knows she’s in deep trouble.
Former marine turned lawyer Scott Terentson has worked with the Deep Ops team in the past but getting shot wasn’t on the list of his favorite moments. Exposing Millie’s undercover operation was necessary for his client’s case but he didn’t intend to put her in the crosshairs of both her boss and a crook at the same time. Of course he’s going to help Millie when her fingerprints are on the murder weapon that killed her ex. He totally trusts her innocence but something more is going on in her small home town. Can there really be so many people trying to permanently silence Millie?

Millie’s not having a good week. Yeah, that’s pretty much an understatement.
This story goes from zero to meteorite in a flash. And then turns over on itself. We know she’s been threatened multiple times over, but who had it out for her ex? Or was he just a pawn?
Scott’s going to help as both a lawyer and investigator, plus he’s got the hots for the dynamo. Extra help from the Deep Ops team and scenes with Kat and Roscoe and Angus make the series tighter and connected.
Don’t skip a page or you’ll miss what happens next. I didn’t see this one coming.
Romantic suspense you won’t want to put down.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley and the publisher.

Another AMAZING addition to a series that is one of my top favorites, ever!

I absolutely love this author’s heroes, but she also does heroines that are impossible to forget and Millie is definitely going to be one of those. She is inventive and quirky and her unique abilities had me wishing she were real and in my life. I loved absolutely everything about her. Once the story line kicks in and we learn what has happened with her, it was like a fist to the gut.

Scott was perfect for Millie. He was sweet and kind, and not a pushy alpha male that would trample all over her. That’s not to say he wasn’t protective, because he is that and so much more. I loved the organic way their relationship developed and his progression into falling for her.

This story line was a bit darker than expected but not so dark as to turn me away. I actually found this to be impossible to put down. The earlier cast of the series makes an appearance and I have to say that Wolf and Cat once more stole every scene they were in. I will never get tired of him and his own quirky ways. He’s a great big, scary marshmallow. When you add that with Roscoe's crazy behaviors, the tone of the story is leveled and absolutely perfect.

Loved this latest book from the Deep OPs Series. Millie and Scott have worked with the Deep Ops team on other cases. They both get involved because Millie is framed for her ex’s death and Scott volunteers to represent her as her lawyer. Millie really doesn’t like Scott in the beginning but as both of them investigate this murder, the sparks begin to appear. They start to realize that there is something intense between them. They both must confront their pasts and figure out what future lies ahead for them both. Wolfe makes an appearance with Kat to help Scott in this case. There is so much action that I had to finish this book in one sitting. I loved seeing the whole team together helping Millie and Scott. And of course, Roscoe!

Millie gets herself in big trouble. Scott comes to aid Millie. These two have great chemistry and banter. They do not know what to do with each other. The journey of these two figuring each other out is full of twists and turns and lots of suspense. Great to see lots of familiar faces. I really enjoyed this addition to the series.

The Deep Ops gang is back for book 6, yes this includes Roscoe ;), this time for Millie and Scott's story. Zanetti does a good job at combining suspense, mystery and romance in this series. There were twists and turns I didn't see coming, which kept me hooked. This was a great addition to the series and hope the twins get a story next.

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rebecca Zanetti's Frostbitten (Lyrical Press 2024), Book 6 in the Deep Ops series, may be my favorite of Zanetti's books. Gadget-loving Millie Frost is set up for the murder of an ex-boyfriend for unknown reasons. She spends one day trying to solve this herself and then with the wise suggestion of the town's Chief of Police, also a close family friend (or more), she engages the bored-but-rich-handsome-and-brilliant-attorney, Scott Terentson, to assist her. From the beginning, sparks fly between them which only makes their adeptness at unraveling this mystery more fun.

In true Zanetti fashion, the story has a great cast of characters, from Millie's retired-SEAL brother JT, her cash-strapped Aunt Mae who runs a hunting-and-fishing business to the entire Deep Ops team--not one of whom could be considered anything but crazy-brilliant. Together, each contributing their own unique talents, they figure out what happened and how to get Millie out of what seems to be dauntingly conclusive evidence of her guilt.

A couldn't-put-it-down book that earned at least 5/5.

I was given an early copy of this book in return for a review.

Another great Deep Ops read! A definite must if you are a fan of this series although you could read this one as a stand alone read if you haven't read the rest of the series. While most of the Deep Ops characters we are fairly with don't show up until late in the book it is still a good read.

Millicent "Millie" Frost is undercover for her Homeland Security job when it goes awry thanks to an encounter with lawyer Scott Terentson. Millie heads home after she is put on leave from her job to help out with her family business. After a night she can't remember the details of, Millie wakes up covered in blood next to her dead ex boyfriend. Scott is called in to defend her. Lots of action follows including Millie and Scott being targeted by hired killers. Scott and Millie fall in love during the course of this one. This book is quite a ride and I was surprised by the killer. Pick up a copy soon!

This is the latest in the Deep Ops series. it is a steamy, romantic suspense, book with interesting characters and a lot of action. Both Millie and Scott are fascinating and having issues in their jobs currently. Millie ends up in her hometown. A suspect of murder, and Scott comes to help. I loved the interaction between millie and Scott. What was even more fun was when some of our old friends from the deep ops series showed up to help. It’s a thrill of a book that keeps you entertained from start to finish.

Millie is working undercover for homeland security when she has her cover blown. She makes a enemy in that case and has to go back home when her aunt is hospitalized. While home she ends up accused of murder. The lawyer who exposed her in her HS case comes to her rescue. I enjoyed this installment in the deep ops series and look forward to the next one.

5 drenched stars ★

Being framed for murderer, it's not the way Millie Frost wants to pass her time in her childhood town. After being found with a dead body, drenched in blood and with no memories of the night, Millie doesn’t have a choice but to work alongside lawyer Scott Terentson in order to clear her name.

Scott is struggling with everything that happened to him, especially after being shot in Angus Force’s fight with Lassiter. All the bad memories from his time in the Marines are back with full force, so he’s suffering from nightmares and flashbacks of those days. He knows he’s not Millie’s favorite person with his career of choice, however, he’s what she needs right now.

Alongside each other and with the company of no other than Roscoe, Scott and Millie find themselves in the hunt of the truth from the night of the murder, and fighting their sizzling attraction and a few attempts on their lives. Millie is still scorned by everything that happened to her as a child that led her to loathing lawyers, however, Scott is one tempting man that is making her review everything that she knows and assumed about him.

Roscoe is the one constant in all the series, one that has his funny moments and makes you fall in love even more (if it is possible) with him. His quirks are the ones that makes him a beloved character of the entire series.

This is a well written story, although I’d loved to see more of the Deep Ops characters, the book doesn’t disappoint one bit. With every page turned, the identity of the real killer changes, until (at least for me) at 70% read, whoever, I still had my doubts. Zanetti is a master in taking the reader through different scenarios, where the identity of the perpetrator is always new and, sometimes, it turns out it's not even one of the previous suspects. This book was highly anticipated by fans and readers of Rebecca’s work, and I must say it is a worthy addition to this series. Can’t wait for what’s next in store for this series.

I have been waiting for Millie and Scott to have their own book when they were each introduced in previous books.
To my surprise and delight, Rebecca paired them up for a wild ride before getting that HEA!!

Millie is the gadget girl extraordinaire and Scott fell pretty quickly and comes in to save the day after she's accused of murdering her ex.

There's a ton of action in this book and a surprise ending you will never guess!

Can't wait for the audio so I can listen to this book all over again..
I just love this series and the band of misfits who are the perfect found family.
Wolf is ADORABLE with Millie who he basically adopted as a little sister even though she has an older brother, JT.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him to get a book and of course for the twins to get a book!

Rebecca Zanetti has done it again with the latest Deep Ops book featuring Millie & Scott!! There’s a reason why this remains one of my favorite all time series!! Millie goes home when her Aunt Mae becomes sick & ends up framed for murder. All the while ending up with Scott once her undercover case gets mixed up with one of Scott’s cases. As usual it’s funny, entertaining, action packed, grabs your attention from page one, just amazing!! I love all these characters & am always excited to read their stories, my favorites are Roscoe & Wolfe. These two always add extra charm to all the books & didn’t disappoint in this one. I can’t say enough about this book & series except you need to start reading them if you haven’t already. I voluntarily read for an honest review. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for the arc.

This is one of my favorite series by this author and this book was a fantastic addition. I loved Millie and Scott. Their romance was sexy and sweet with just the perfect amount of angst. And the mystery is full of suspense and action. Then there's the humor. I absolutely adore Roscoe! I also love that previous characters we love appear on the pages. This one kept me guessing right up to the reveal. And it was a hell of a reveal! Wow!

Frost Bitten is the sixth book in Rebecca Zanetti’s Deep Ops Series. This is a romantic suspense novel that is thrilling, action packed, and filled with intense passion and unique characters.

When gadgets and electronics expert and Homeland Security operative Millicent Frost becomes the number one suspect in her ex-boyfriend and family business rivals’s murder, lawyer and former Marine Scott Terentson steps in the help. Despite their opposing personalities they work to discover the true murderer while trying to stay alive. But will Scott and the Deep Ops team be able to save Millie in the end? Read it and find out!

The tension and chemistry between Millicent and Scott was evident right from the start. They were a fantastic couple and I enjoyed how they grew closer together as they learned to work together and trust and each other.

This was another fantastic addition to Zanetti’s amazing Deep Ops series! All the books in the Deep Ops series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone. However, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself. I can’t wait to see if Ian and Oliver get their own books.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced readers copy from Netgalley.
