Oh, how I’ve enjoyed this “series”! I know they don’t technically call these three books an actual series, but Accidentally Yours, Best Frienemies and Cluelessly Yours are most definitely one!

Brooke Baker from Accidentally is the little sister of Sammy Baker, our new lead. Her and her man, Chase, are great friends with Noah, and have been trying to set the pair up for a while - but Sammy is a recently divorced single mom and has no time or inclination to date… besides, she always sees him out with gorgeous women. And a client of her restaurant has been relentlessly asking her out.

The book begins with career day at the kids school which is the main feature of Best Frienemies, and we get a flash forward to a scene from near the end of the book - so we’re anxiously awaiting getting to that part and finding out how we land in the hospital, who’s all there, and who this interloper is! In typical Max Monroe style, they give us a million twists and turns, a majorly strong woman in the lead, a cinnamon roll we root for the whole way through, and it’s touted as a love triangle (something I try to avoid), but done in a brilliant fashion.

It’s spectacular, unique and just so unexpected in every way, and I recommend to all whether you’re a longtime Max Monroe fan, or just discovering this delightful duo. I would suggest reading Accidentally Yours first, though, for the important details about the history on this part, and to be a little less lost..

I received an advance copy from NetGalley the authors and this is my honest feedback.

the blurb for this story had me SO intrigued and im SO glad i picked it up. sammy’s story had me giggling, gasping, kicking my feet, just doing all the things. i just absolutely loved this story. the side characters were all fantastic (well except for ifykyk) and i thought the writing was really well done. there’s also a surprising little bit of suspense thrown into this story which i enjoyed!

im really trying hard not to say TOO much about who i was rooting for in the story because i feel like that’ll give it away but gosh let me just say…when you know you know! i will say i read this without reading the first two books in this series and i was totally fine. but i for sure will be going back to read the first two later this year!

you for sure need to pick this one up if you like…
💜 friends to lovers

This was an interesting story, a great romantic novel with a bit of suspense thrown in. I enjoyed both main characters, and didn't mind the dual perspective...however felt it should have been better indicated at the start of each chapter. Overall an enjoyable quick read.

In this book, I was drawn into the world of Sammy Baker, a relatable divorced mom juggling life's challenges in New York. The story's blend of humor and drama, centered around a perplexing love triangle, kept me engaged. The unexpected hospital scene, revealing a pregnant woman claiming to be the girlfriend of Sammy's love interest, added a compelling twist to the narrative. The audiobook, narrated brilliantly by Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York, enhanced the experience with dynamic storytelling. While some parts were predictable and heavy on pop culture references, the overall charm and wit of the book made it a delightful read. Max Monroe's skillful writing made the characters' journeys both entertaining and heartwarming, making it a recommendable rom-com.

What a fast paced enjoyable book by Max Monroe. I really loved the couple in this book. Sammy is a great female lead and I loved the guy she ended up with. I'm not going to spoil the book since you go about halfway through the book before you find out who she chooses to move forward with. The good news is you still get a lot of great story after she does make a decision. There are really too many spoilers for me to give a thorough review of this book. I'll just say, I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy.

I loved the TV show references, the sister relationship in this story along with the craze of Sammy’s boys...Seth in the epilogue (part 2). 🤣🤣🤣

It didn’t take long for me to get a gross vibe from Gavin, so glad that ended how it did. But….Dr. Noah Philips. 😍 Yes, please. That sweet sweet man.

This was such a cute, sweet read. I loved it. Give me more!

This is the second book that I have read from Max Monroe and I really enjoyed it. This book follows Sammy, a single mom to two wild little boys, has recently moved to NYC after her divorce. Her sister has been trying for months to set her up with her friend Dr. Noah Phillips. But every time Sammy sees Noah he is with a different beautiful woman, she assumes the good looking doctor is a serial dater. Meanwhile, she has the attention of businessman Gavin who frequents the restaurant where Sammy works. Sammy feels more of a spark with one over the other, but she is really cautious about getting her heart broken, especially with 2 little boys in the mix.

This book was such a fun read. Sammy's boys are so funny and very much written true to 7 and 5 year old siblings. The inappropriate comments in front of strangers, the bickering I loved all of the interactions with the boys and other characters. I loved that Sammy was a realistic single mother, she felt the mom guilt, she is really just trying to hold everything together and make it through the day, and I feel that!

Her love interest is so dreamy. He is caring and patient with Sammy. He wants to take care of her and be there to support her. He is amazing with the boys. He is just perfect! Reading his scenes made me giddy and I wanted to just scream at Sammy to open her eyes 😂

There were also so many moments where I laughed out loud, the banter between Sammy and her sister was so much fun. I really enjoyed all of the characters and they really add a lot of fun to the book.

This book also had a couple of plot twists I did not see coming and I really like being surprised in a romance book.

Another AMAZING book by Max Monroe! I don’t know how these ladies keep doing it. I have been dying for Sammy to get her HEA since we met her in Brooke’s book! It was touch and go there for a little bit, but her story was perfect for her. And Noah?!! *Swoon* I love him. I hope we get Kendall’s book next! 5 Stars!

A HUGE thank you to Max Monroe and NetGalley for my ARC!

Cluelessly Yours is the first book that I have read by Max Monroe and it certainly won’t be the last. While it didn’t start off stellar, it certainly ended that way. I ended up loving reading Sammy and Noah’s story so much that I didn’t want it to end. As the story went on it just kept getting better and better. I highly recommend this romance story to anyone who loves a sweet romance with just slightly older characters and some scene stealing kids.

This was a lighthearted and lovely read, as it always is with this writing duo.
However, it didn't really hit the mark with me. Something was missing, and it seemed to go on for a long time.

As soon as the two "contenders" were introduced, I immediately guessed who would be the lucky one, and for me, her dating the other person didn't add anything. There was already everything going on in her life, she didn't need a rushed and superficial love triangle.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Cluelessly Yours written by Max Monroe CAN be read as a standalone. I fell in love with the story and the characters on the very first page. I have never read a book by Max Monroe before, but I saw the pretty cover and knew I had to get my hands on it, but after reading this book and loving every single minute, I can never pass up this author. I had so many emotions while reading Cluelessly Yours, I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I was angry, it's like the author knows how to get you all worked up and then you break a sweat. If you haven't read a book by Max Monroe before, I highly recommend you do so immediately, the story is heart breaking, the characters are swoon worthy and extremely likable. I had no clue this book was part of a series, but I had absolutely no problem reading it as a stand alone. I devoured this book and the romance like someone who has a monster addiction (the drink). The only very minor issue I had was that the characters told each other they loved each other a bit too quickly for my liking, but other than that I loved every single minute I was reading this book. If you want to laugh, cry, and smile, please do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this book like right now.

THANK YOU TO NETGALLEY AND MAX MONROE LLC FOR AN ARC OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW!!!!!!!

Who would you pick, a laid back businessman who shows so much interest in you, or a handsome doctor who is always surrounded by beautiful women?

Sammy Baker is a divorced, single mom to two rambunctious little boys, Seth and Grant. These two little boys were so adorable, I couldn't help but laugh at their little snarky comments. Sammy's ex-husband left her and her two little boys without a trace of where he went. With a job she loves and two little boys to take care of as a single mom, Sammy has the world on her shoulders and legos under her feet, but she's doing the best she can. Amid the chaos of her life, Sammy hopes to one day find love again, but right now that's not one of her major priorities, even though Sammy finds herself right smack dab in the middle of two men. Gavin is a businessman who has no problem showing Sammy that he's very interested in her, and then there's Noah, the handsome doctor who always has beautiful women around him, but still shows his interest in Sammy and her two boys. When one of Sammy's sons broke his arm, Noah was there every minute to make sure her son got the best care he can possibly get. But Gavin was also there trying to win Sammy's heart. With the world on her shoulders, I couldn't help but cheer for Sammy.

I liked Gavin at the beginning because he never had any issues showing his interest in Sammy, but he kind of gave me an ick feeling, and then there's Noah, the attractive doctor who was always willing to help Sammy and her two adorable boys. I also loved the sisterly bond Sammy and her sister Brooke had. Despite being heavily pregnant and being an aspiring author, Brooke and Chase were always their for Sammy willing to take her boys for the night if Sammy needed some peace and quiet. Gavin and Sammy had very cute romantic dates, but they always somehow ended in disaster, whereas if something was going wrong for Sammy, Noah was right there to step in and lift the world off of Sammy's shoulders. Noah Noah Noah, I loved that man, he was such a cinnamon roll. Noah also had a sister who was disabled and couldn't physically function on her own, even as a doctor, Noah took his sister under his wings and cared deeply for her. Despite all the beautiful women trying to get his attention, Noah always made time for Sammy and her two boys. Like I said before, all of the characters are swoon worthy and very likable, read this book and you will find out what I'm talking about.

Hands down my favorite Max Monroe book! Had me on the edge of my seat from the very start and when I tell you these characters have a hold on me… 🥹🫶🏼 it was so much better than I had anticipated and I really loved everything about it! Sammy and Noah have my heart! It’s hard to top Brooke Baker, but I think Sammy might have the best love story of all!

Cluelessly Yours-Book #3 It's A Funny Story, but can be read as a standalone

By Max Monroe-I read the other 2 books in the series 4&5 ✨ reads
.
Rating: 4.5/5✨

Publication 1/13/24,  Read 1/10/24

🙏🏾 Thanks to NetGalley and Max Monroe LLC for this ARC🤍 ! I voluntarily give my honest review and all opinions expressed are my own.

Genre and tropes: contemporary romance, women's fiction, love triangle, single parent

⚠️h is verbally abused/sex*ally harassed, sister has vasovagal syncope &service dog, H has nonverbal sister w/ seizures

Summary- Sammy wakes up from coma with her boyfriend Noah and a pregnant woman holding his hand. Both were hit by a car and are in St. Luke's hospital where Noah works. Sammy's ex-husband Todd decided he wanted his own life without a wife and kids, so Sammy moved from Ohio to NYC with her 2 sons. She starts over with the help of her sister Brooke and fiancé Chase. Brooke wants Sammy to "get back out there" and tries to set her up with her Dr. friend, Noah.

The characters:
♀️ FMC Sammy Baker(41) general manager @ La Croisette restaurant. Very guarded and claims she's not ready to date a year after the divorce.

♂️ MMC Dr. Noah Philips (43)- Head of pediatric anesthesiology at St. Luke's. Sammy thinks he's dating a bunch of women that she sees him with. He's nice to Sammy but is slow to make a move.

Brooke -Sammy's sister, married 7 months pregnant . She is a NY Times best selling author and has an editor fiancé Chase

Grant(5) and Seth(7)-Sammy's sons

Zoe-the boys' nanny

Kara-Noah's disabled sister, lives in a facility

Gavin Evans (40's)-information technology businessman. Interested in Sammy and shows it.

Todd-Sammy's ex-husband, a deadbeat dad

🐕‍🦺 Benji-Brooke's service dog and Dolly-Noah's dog

I enjoyed the dual POVs and 3 epilogues. Sammy goes through a stressful time as a working mother w/ 2 small children. Her sons are devious but so cute I couldn't help but see them as angels. From their 1st meeting it's clear Sammy and Noah make each other feel comfortable, loved, and apart of a family. I wonder if Gavin was needed in the story because he pops in and out until the "incident, " where he shows his true colors. I loved how Noah took care of Sammy and the boys when they were sick and tired. Brooke was too intrusive in Sammy's love life, but I have a sister and that's just what we do. She just wants Sammy happy which fate took care of.

Sammy Baker is a divorced, single mom to two rambunctious boys just trying to make it through life. She is starting to dip her toe in the dating world and finds herself in the middle of a very successful business man and the gorgeous doctor always turning women's heads. Who will she choose?

Though I haven't read Accidental Attachment yet, which follows Sammy's younger sister, Brooke, this has become my favorite in the series. I loved the concept of this book and despite some brief miscommunication with a 3rd party, I fell in love with this story. It is shown as a love triangle, but I'd say there was always a clear line of thinking on Sammy's part to shy away from a true love triangle situation. I could relate so well to Sammy being a mom to three boys myself. I found myself laughing out loud many times to the antics her boys got up to throughout the book.

Noah was such a cinnamon roll MMC, and I'm so glad we were treated to his thoughts as there was never a doubt in my mind how he felt about Sammy. His quiet patience with Sammy as well as always showing her unique ways to care for her were truly what won me over. The adorable dog, Dolly, also helped to move this man to book boyfriend status.

Though this is a book in a series, it can most certainly be read stand-alone. Highly suggest reading this one via audiobook as well to enhance the story.

I’ve come to LOVE this writing duo. Their authors note in the beginning is like their hilarious trademark. I love it.

If you’re looking for closed door romcom, 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙞𝙣'𝙩 𝙞𝙩. Max Monroe can write the heck out of a spicy scene without being smut or entering into cringe territory.

The characters are well written and expertly defined. Don’t even get me started on the chemistry ⚛️. I mean 🥵.

I loved how we started the story and then circled back from point A to point B. Like that ooooooh now it all makes sense moment was so satisfying.

I loved Noah and Sammy. I loved to hate some other unmentionable characters. The friendships were so much fun and heartwarming and the sisterly love and banter was a blast too.

Body autonomy scenes in books are sorta iffy for me. Sometimes it seems like doing too much to try to make a point but body autonomy is so important and Max Monroe drives that point home in such a seamless way that you’re enraged as if you’re one of the characters and it doesn’t distract from the overall story (like when some authors try to put a relevant issue in a book and the record stops like why is that there 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️), in fact it enhances it. Trust me on this. Well done. This particular scene is something most of us have experienced in some way so get ready to be like “oh hell naw” with me.

Anyways…if you want love, spice and laughter look no further!!!! I love it extra because Noah reminds me of my husband lol.

This was a fun one! The banter, engaging storyline, & pace kept me procrastinating my real life and saying, “Just one more chapter”. Lots of laugh out loud moments, plenty to swoon about, and a satisfying ending. Needs a few grammatical corrections is all. This was my first Max Monroe book, but definitely won’t be my last.

I just love this writing duo! Cluelessly Yours was laugh out loud enjoyable one minute and intense fight for your friend because "the guy is a jerk" the next minute. Basically, this is a perfect read.....well balanced with a touch of everything.

This book tells the story of Sammy Baker, a divorced mom of two boys. She's trying to find her way in New York City as a single mom. Even though she insists she isn't ready to date, two very different men present themselves in her life at the same time.

I adored this book. Sammy is a character you could really get behind and feel a connection with. Life had dealt her some crummy blows and you just wanted to see her find some happiness. In addition, you wanted her boys to have a positive role model since her ex-husband completely vanished from their lives.

The other characters in the book were also well-developed as well. It was also nice to re-visit Sammy's sister, Brooke and her fiancé, Chase.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Ah yes! The audiobook was fabulous. The narration was absolutely perfection for these characters and I was completely engrossed from the first word until the last. 5 stars

Thank you to NetGalley for early copies of both the ebook and the audiobook.

I couldn't stop listening to the audiobook! The beginning of the story draws the reader in, becoming fully invested in finding out how Sammy got in the situation she finds herself currently in.

I'm not a big love triangle fan, so rest assured, that doesn't last long in the storyline, but you do find yourself attached to certain characters, especially anyone who interacts with her boys.

Noah is the ultimate book boyfriend and if he was real, I'd snag him in a heartbeat and never let go. He has the kindest heart, and truly shows his feelings through actions. I'll be reading this again, just for him!

While this can be read as a stand alone, you'll definitely enjoy it more if you read Accidental Attachment first so you can appreciate Brooke even more. I adored this story and it was the perfect mix of comedy and romance, with a superb narration.
