Awakyns was a thrilling novel! May is being hunting by the ‘Judanites’ due to her family lineage, and her Guardian Angel Dao-Ren protects her numerous times. May’s life is completely upended and her past life very quickly forgotten in exchange for a life with Dao-Ren and the Awakyns. I was desperately hoping the 25 year old mortal wouldn’t fall for the thousand year old warrior but based on his description, who can blame her.
If you love religious lore, similar to a more action packed The Da Vinci Code, this is the perfect series for you!
