This was well-researched, and very informative on how learning develops and what some popular misconceptions about learning have previously been thought. I was surprised to learn that carryover is less probable than I assumed when it comes to, say, learning the piano to improve math skills. I did appreciate the guidance on how to use tools such as spacing, incorporating variability, and learning from a mentor. Many strategies that educators use appear to be verified in this book, and there are great tips for lifelong learning. I also found that this will encourage parents to look into tutoring for their child, even if he/she is not struggling with schoolwork.
I recommend this for libraries, as well as homeschool parents and lifelong learners.
