Apparently I read this in 2013 and gave it 3 stars and never reviewed it. I don't remember reading it and from the description it's familiar to me at all, but Goodreads doesn't lie!

Wow, this book really should have came with a trigger warning for familial psychological and physical abuse.
Intense doesn't even cover it.
This book is incredible, yet in parts it is hard to keep reading, especially the scenes where 'mom' is having one of her 'moments'. Mom needs to be in control of every aspect of her families lives, but when her daughter runs away with her boyfriend, things start to get a little insane.
Well written, scarily engaging and tormented.

I read this book and found it dark and uncomfortable. I can usually handle that type of story but this one I didn't care for at all.
