*Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillian Audio for the arc copy in exchange for my honest review.*

This book follows two twin sisters. One of the sisters was in an accident and suffers from amnesia. She relies on the other sister to help fill in the blanks of their lives. However, after a while, she's suspicious that her sister is lying to her about their past and sets out on her own for answers. The things she starts to uncover are worse than she could have imagined.

Right off the bat, this book started out interesting. There is immediately an accident and it grabs your attention right away. I saw this book had to do with twins and I am always one who hopes for the good vs bad twin trope so I had to check it out.

It does give off the vibes of good vs bad twin for a while, but it doesn't take long for you to use context clues and figure out maybe she's trying to hide the bad stuff from the sister to protect her.

I really liked the cover of this book, the main reason I requested it, so I was just waiting to find out how the rabbits related to the book, and I was not disappointed. I haven't read a lot of books that have cults so this was interesting to me. I now know that I want to find a book centered around cults to dig more into that topic.

The characters were all pretty likeable in my opinion. I felt like we were on a journey with the twin with amnesia. The other twin felt overbearing at times, but understandable because she almost lost her sister.

You do get two timelines in this book. It will flip-flop between before and after the accident so that you can get some background info as the book progresses.

This was a very well-done and unique psychological thriller. This is one that I would recommend to anyone wanting a good thriller or cult book.

I am thankful to Henry Holt, Macmillan Audio, Abbott Kahler, and Netgalley for access to this audiobook, but like I'd voiced in previous reviews, this one was just not for me.

I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars for this, because once it got going it really was an interesting story… but it took a long while to get going. And, in the end, I guess I still don’t see why the mirror twin couldn’t have just given her a cleaned-up summary of their real lives from the start?

The first 25% was slow, even by my standards, and I would have stopped reading if it wasn’t an ARC (I’m very completionist about ARCs). I’m glad I kept going, though!

Premise - a woman with amnesia has a mirror twin who should be able to fill her in on their lives, but it seems she’s keeping something from her…

The strength of this was the creepiness of the cult. I love a good creepy cult. Wtf to killsaving.

The made-up twin language was weird to carry into adulthood, but they were coming out of serious trauma so I’ll buy it. I wanted a better understanding of motivations overall, but for a good creepy read this satisfied.

Thanks, NetGalley and Henry Holt, for the gifted ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As a mother of "mirror" twins I need to not read these thrillers featuring twins.
Especially when one of mine is also called Katherine.
This book was good, confusing, and super creepy. It isn't for moms of identical twin girls because we deal with enough.
The narration is perfection!

I loved the narrator for this book. The story itself is a bit thriller mixed with cult-drama. It centers around twins one has amnesia. Kay tries to learn her story from her twin and suspects that maybe she isn’t being told the truth after her sister forgets to mention a rather important part of her story. For me this book was somewhat confusing but it’s nicely creepy and overall is a good read.

After a terrible accident, Kat wakes from a coma and sees her twin sister, Jude’s face. but Jude isn’t really there. The only memories Kat has from before the accident revolve around Jude. She decides to re-create their past, making it a happy, idyllic time, nothing could be further from the truth. This book is billed as being eerie and haunting, but I found it to be more confusing than thrilling.
