When I requested a pre-release copy of this book from NetGalley, I did not realize it was part of a series. Once I received it, I knew I would need to read the previous books before starting "All the Way Gone." I am so glad I did. This is a great series and the author gives absolutely nothing away. My thoughts on whodunnit were always wrong, which just made these books all that more enjoyable. There is nothing predictable about any of them and all had excellent storylines. While the previous three books were great, I think "All the Way Gone" is my favorite. Annalisa's family dramas were absent in this book, which was a nice reprieve. I highly recommend reading each and every book in this series, and definitely read them in order.

Joanna Schaffhausen does it again! This is a fantastic addition in the Annalisa Vega series. If you have not read it, you are seriously missing out!! Fast paced, great characters, great story - you will not be disappointed. Definitely recommend reading them in order.

Thank you to St. Martin’s press for the advance copy. This was my first Joanna book, but not the last. I’ll be looking for more Annalisa!

Thank you for this opportunity to read an advance copy of this novel. I never knew this author and haven’t read prequel to this, but I was able to enjoy this so much! Annalisa is such an admirable person: smart, determined and independent, qualities that I get excited finding in a female character and makes me want to read more of her stories in the future. Her husband is a little bit annoying and she probably could do better but it looks like they are happy in the end. Last 30% of the book felt like it was rushing through compared to the rest of the book but that might be because I didn’t want it to end. This twisty novel kept me on edge and I couldn’t put down!

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book early. This is the fourth book with Annalise and it did not disappoint. It is a very twisty story and I really enjoyed it. If you like Johanna Schaufhausen’s other books, which I do, you will definitely love this one. It took me a while to read because I was reading it on my phone, but once I got hooked I finished it in two days.

Thank you Netgalley for an ARC of this book! I should have done research I did not realize when I requested it that this was the 4th book in the series. I think if I had read the other 3 maybe I could have bumped this up to 5 stars. I love a Fast paced Mystery/thriller so this was right up my alley. Maybe I should go back to read the other 3 now!

OH MY!!! Another great addition to the Detective Vega series!

Detective Annalisa Vega has left the force and started her own PI company. Her first client is Mara Delaney, author-to-be who believes some sociopaths are beneficial to society. But Mara is having some doubts about the main character in her book - so called "good sociopath" Dr. Craig Canning. Especially when his neighbor shows up dead.

This book led us on some twisty paths! I loved reading about Annalisa's new career choice and seeing her hit some frustrating dead ends without her badge. This one had me guessing all the way to the last chapter. I thought I had it figured out but was pleasantly surprised when I realized I did not! What a great 4th installment - definitely worth the read!

Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Minotaur Books for the eARC! All opinions are my own.

This is my first time reading this author and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I will be going back to read the first 3. I NEED to know more about Annalisa and Nick.

Annalisa Vega is a new private investigator looking into a strange accident of a young socialite, who fell to her death. Annalisa was hired by a professor to look into the subject of her new book, The Good Sociopath. The PI has a gut feeling that the "good sociopath," Dr. Canning had something to do with it. Did he commit the perfect murder? Is he being set up? Who is really pulling the strings?

The twists - chef's kiss. I didn't see some of them coming.

I’ve been a loyal Joanna Schaffhausen fan for years, starting with the first Ellery Hathaway book, and her Annalisa Vega series doesn’t disappoint either. Each book progresses Anna’s personal story arc, but each installment also delivers an explosively addictive plot of mayhem and murder. All The Way Gone deep dives into sociopaths and the destruction (or good?) they wreak, and you can’t see those final twists coming.

This is the fourth in the Annalisa Vega series and though I think you could read it as a stand a lone, probably reading the others would provide some background. Annalisa is married to her ex husband and has left the police force to work as a private investigator, while setting up her office a woman walks in and wants her to investigate something. Annalisa agrees, the woman, Mara, has a book due to be published soon and the subject of the book, Craig Canning, is a sociopath, but a good one, that's what the book is about. Mara has found out that a woman has died that lives in the same apartment building as Craig and she is suspicious that he had something to do with it which would not make him a good sociopath. Annalisa starts to investigate, being an ex policeman she has knowledge and resources that most PIs don't, although she doesn't like Craig, she can't find anything that makes him a suspect, the woman's death is considered a suicide, she had been hanging wind chimes while standing on a chair, the police believe she slipped and fell over the railing. There are a lot of red herrings in this book, I almost got whiplash at some points, convinced I knew who had done it, only for that person to be either cleared or die(!). I recommend this book, a very good and very fast pace read. Thanks to #Netgalley and #Minotaurbooks for the ARC.

Annalisa is beginning to settle into her new life as a private detective and a step mother to her husbands newly discovered daughter. When her first client walks into the office and asks her to check out the subject of her upcoming book, Annalisa could not predict what she would be wrapped up in. At the same time, she has been hired by her step daughter’s friend to try and find her birth mother to see if she would donate a kidney to save her life.

Annalisa has a lot on her hands and desperately needs to find the truth before it’s too late.

This series continues to get better and better with each book and this one did not disappoint. I loved so many of the themes in the book and the twists and turns the author gives us. Annalisa continues to be a fantastic character that you just love to root for. She is fearless and has a don’t take no attitude. There was a lot happening in this book but I absolutely loved every minute of it and would highly recommend it as a must read. Cannot wait to see what the author comes up with next for Annalisa.

Well written and so intriguing. I love good protagonists with characteristics of villains. I just may have to check out the rest of this series.

Thank you NetGalley and Joanna Schaffhausen for the chance to read this ARC!

I am a HUGE fan of Joanna and the Detective Annalisa Vega Series, so I was so excited that there was a fourth book added and I was able to get an early glance!

Annalisa and Nick are back again with another mystery to solve! Local professor Mara, who is getting ready to release a book about Good Sociopaths. When a neighbor of her subject, Dr. Canning, falls to her death, Mara starts to wonder if he really is a "Good Sociopath. Needing answers before the book comes out, Mara hires Annalisa to investigate the Doctor. Annalisa struggles with the boundaries she now has as a PI since resigning as a detective, to try and get the truth for Mara!

I have loved following the story of Annalisa through the series and All the Way gone did not disappoint! Joanna has a way of keeping the story flowing, keeping you invested, and keeping you guessing the whole time! I really enjoyed this book and hope there will be a fifth!

I love another series by Joanna Schaffhausen so I jumped at the chance to read this book. I didn’t realize it was part of another series I haven’t read. This book was great even without the backstories. I loved it so much I will definitely be reading the rest of the series!

Annalisa has just started her PI business after being a cop for years. Her first case is from Mara-a professor and writer who wants to make sure the man she based her book on-is a “good sociopath”. Is there really such a thing?

This was a fast paced read, a lot going on but not hard to follow, likeable and realistic characters, and some twists I didn’t expect. I highly recommend this author and this book!!

This is my first book by Joanna Schaffhausen and I really enjoyed the book experience! I found the subject matter and characters interesting, and was a fan of the easy to follow, well paced writing style.

The plot of “all the way gone” starts with the seemingly innocent death of a young woman who falls from her 14th story balcony whilst supposedly hanging wind chimes.

The only problem is she lives in the same building as the well renowned surgeon Dr Canning, who is also to be the star of a soon to be published book about how sociopaths can be good for society. The author Mara has concerns of his involvement in the untimely death, and hires an investigator to ensure he wasn’t involved for the sake of potential book sales.

The chapters go between POV of the author and the private investigator. It seems Dr Canning is a likely candidate for murder, however he isn’t the only individual who could have motive for murder.

This book was a lot of fun and definitely piqued my interest into all things psychology and sociopathy related.

I look forward to more books from this author! Thank you to St Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the arc.

Where to begin? So much happened within these pages!

Annalise is no longer on the police force and is opening her PI business.

Her husband is a cop who investigates the death of a wealthy socialite. Although her death is deemed a suicide, Annalise is hired by an author out to protect her upcoming release of a book on good sociopaths. Mara, the author, shows concern that her main example (a local surgeon at his prime) may have been the murderer. Annalise takes on the case, exposing her family to Craig Canning, the Doctor who never makes mistakes.

This book was a wild ride. If I had the time, it would have been a 2 day read because I couldn’t stop once I started reading.

Thank you to St Martin’s Press, Joanna Schaffhausen and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this ARC. I will definitely be looking for more of Annalise.

Having not read the other three books prior to this one, I was a bit anxious about being lost to the characters. The author did a great job of engaging new and old readers. Definitely did not see all the twists coming!

This is the fourth book in the Annalisa Vega series.
Annalisa has left the police department and started her own private investigating agency. Her first case is from an author (Mara) who is writing a book about Dr. Craig Canning. What’s the book about? Sociopaths both good and bad. Maura wrote the book believing Dr. Canning was a good sociopath. Now that a girl has died, one who made a damning accusation against Craig, she hires Annalisa to find the truth. Was she wrong about Craig? Could he be a bad sociopath and a killer?
Her second case is brought to her by her stepdaughter Cassie. Her girlfriend needs a kidney transplant and her only possible hope of finding a donor is from her mother. The one who abandoned her when she was a toddler. Annalisa doesn’t have much information to go on, and Cassie gets way more involved than she should, potentially risking her own life, hoping to save her friend.
There is so much going on in this book. Besides these two cases, Analisa’s stepdaughter is dealing with the imminent death of her mother. Also, Annalisa has to adjust to her new career, one without a badge, as she tries to figure out how she can still get results. Just when it seemed like everything was explained, the author threw in one heckuva twist.
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Annalisa’s new career to be honest. But once I became engrossed in her cases, I enjoyed All The Way Gone.

I received this 4th novel in the Annalisa Vega series from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely love this series so I was super excited to get this ARC! Annalisa has left the police and is now on her own as a PI when her first case walks through the door. Mara Delaney has written a novel about “sociopaths” in particular a Dr. Craig Canning in her novel titled “The Good Sociopath”. Now, a woman in Canning’s apartment complex has been killed and Mara thinks it may have been by Canning’s own hand. She needs Vega on the case to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Annalisa’s husband Nick has found out that he has a daughter named Cassidy who has recently introduced herself into his life. Both Annalisa and Nick work on the case, not knowing who they can trust.. (while also trying to welcome Cassidy into their life.). It seems Mara, Craig, and even Mara’ husband Paul may be behind the murder. This was a twisty, entertaining read. I love this series and look forward to more of Annalisa Vega.

I couldn’t wait to read All the Way Gone by Joanna Schaffhausen, and I wasn’t disappointed. This is one of my favorite series. It was fast paced and I couldn’t put it down, and wow there were plenty of twists to keep me guessing. All the characters are well written and I loved the ending, can’t wait for the next book in this series. Thank you St. Martin’s Press and Netgalley for this great arc.
