What a fabulous ending to this trilogy starring Detective Hollie Turner. I would recommend that the first 2 books are read in order to get the full story. Reading them directly after each other maintains the momentum and makes it feel like one epic book!

I didn't read Books 1 and 2. Hence, I started this book feeling confused. However, the suspense is there and powered through the book. It was such a fun read despite not reading the first two books.

The characters are well-developed with the plot flowing smoothly. The final reveal is also very satisfying.

I absolutely enjoy this book. I feel like the book could be better if there is at least a summary of what had happened in the first two books.

This is a great book to end the series and again brought many tense moments and a lot of thrills and chills with the death of Sister Sophia Brennan followed by the abduction of Deputy Chief Constable, Rose Warburton, this is a book that has plenty going on. But having said that it has a slower pace I think then the first two but it is very readable.

A great final with a great mystery and good characters makes this an easy and entertaining book to read. 3 1/2 stars from me.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read adn review this book.

I couldn’t get into the story just as I thought. Not disappointed but need more depth, I think. I can't remember when was the last time when I read a book in which the whole plot was 100% equal to what was written in the blurb and nothing more. There was no surprise there, no resolution to any of the plot threads and the whole story was blatantly predictable and painfully dull.

This is definitely a medium-fast paced book which is befitting the final book in a series. There are still many twists and turns to be had which will keep you guessing until the very anticlimactic end. While the ending was wrapped up with a bow, it still felt like a let down.

This is part of a trilogy. As I came in with the third book, I felt I missed the depth and build-up from the other books. The book itself follows Detective Hollie Turner and plenty of twists and turns. I couldn't give this five stars mainly because of the comment at the start, but I would recommend the whole series as based on this book, I can imagine it is a fantastic read.

Thank you NetGalley for this advance reader copy in exchange for my free and honest review. Amazing ending to this trilogy of novels! Start with #1 as these three are all connected and the story continues and ramps up with each novel. You have to start at the beginning and stay on track and in order. Well worth it, as this is an awesome chain of events. Recommended reading and definitely recommend this author.

The last in the DI Hollie Turner ‘Sister Bennett’ case. WOW what a great trilogy this has been. I read book 1 not realising that it was a trilogy, I didn’t get to read book 2 for a little while after and whilst I just about remembered the storyline from book 1 I do think it would be better to read the 3 books after each other. Each book is left with a cliffhanger and the storyline was original and gripping. Looking forward for more cases with DI Turner!

The final book in the Sister Brennen trilogy and what a finish. Fast paced with two time lines, the characters grow with each book. Highly recommended. I loved the Hollie Turner character can't wait to read more of her. Thanks to Storm publishing and Netgalley for a review copy.

Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone, although reading the books in order does add additional depth to the understanding of the characters. I found that I really enjoyed the journey with DI Hollie Turner and I felt a really affinity to her as a character by the end. A well though out and written book.

This is a book 3 out of 3 - it is imperative to read the first 2 books in order to understand what is going on. Each book ends in a cliffhanger so you better have all three ready to dive into. It is a great police procedural murder mystery following the case lead by a detective Hollie Turner.
You are already invested with the characters, this book shows the dramatic and satisfying conclusion it was tense, thoughtful ending.
Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for an ARC of this book - now available everywhere.

She could hear a baby crying. The Sister moved towards her, carrying the tiny newborn wrapped in a soft blue blanket. The girl felt panic rising in her throat as she screamed, 'Take it away from me!'

Under pressure to solve the murder of Sister Sophia Brennan, Detective Hollie Turner is close to cracking the case and catching the killer when her Deputy Chief Constable, Rose Warburton, goes missing.

It soon becomes clear that Rose has been abducted, and Hollie makes a shocking discovery… Rose's disappearance is connected to Sister Brennan's murder investigation.

As Hollie and her team delve further into the lives of the four girls who had their babies forcibly taken at the sinister Church of St Mary and the Angels mother and baby home, Hollie unearths a revelation about a fifth mystery girl and a disturbing secret from Sophia Brennan's past. A secret so explosive that it threatens to shatter the lives of many.

With Rose's life hanging in the balance, Hollie is running out of time. Can she finally uncover the truth and stop the killer before they claim their next victim?

In this final heart-stopping instalment, The Fifth Girl concludes Sister Sophia Brennan's case with a twist you won't see coming.

Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Paul J. Teague

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.

An Adrenalin Rush and Fast Paced Book.
The fifth Girl by Paul J. Teague is the third and final book in this series. It is an excellent series, and this book is the conclusion of the death of Sister Sophie Brennan and how Detective Hollie Turner and her team move forward with so many more questions than answers as the clock ticks down. The story gets better and better as it grew closer to the truth, and it has a twist at the end that you will not see coming. The back and forth between the past and present worked we throughout all three books. The Fifth Girl is a fast-paced thriller in the case of Detective Hollie Turner and the mother and baby unit in Hull that is guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat trying to guess what happens next.
The book is a gripping mystery and an addictive crime thriller which I highly recommend. Thanks to NetGalley and to the publishers of this book for giving me a free advance copy of the book to preview and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The final book in a an edge of your seat trilogy! The back and forth POVs between past and present help build the story throughout the book! Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a fast-paced crime thriller!! Recommend reading the first two books before this one for the full effect!!!

All three books in the series must be read and in order to fully appreciate the story and for maximum impact.

Books one and two help to set the scene and background to the case and introduce the characters and their history book three (you are heavily invested in the outcome) brought the whole plot to a dramatic crescendo with a satisfying conclusion it was tense, emotive, thoughtful, reflective it just had me hook line and sinker.

It's always brave when an author mixes fiction with reality as there is power in telling the story for the victims and the author executes this with consideration it's clear they've done there research.

A satisfying conclusion to this trilogy am looking forward to what's next for Hollie and her team.

The final installment in the detective Hollie Turner trilogy is called The Fifth Girl. I received a copy from Storm Publishing via Netgalley and it was published on the 29th of January.

We continue where book two ended. Detective Hollie Turner is close to cracking the case and catching the killer when her Chief, Rose Warburton, goes missing. It's all connected to the mother and baby home. Turner needs to look at the past to uncover all the secrets to be able to solve this case. With more than one life hanging in the balance, Turner needs to work quickly to try and save innocent people.

This is the perfect ending of the trilogy. The story just evolved from books one and two into this perfect climax and ending of the story. We get to know the characters much more than the two previous installments so we understand the story perfectly. And it all leads to the ultimate culmination of the story which is described so well that it's a shame that it's done after these three books. This trilogy is an absolute recommendation!

5/5 ⭐

I couldn't wait to read this final part of the trilogy.. it was every bit as enthralling as the first 2 books. So many twists in the story brought together at the end. The author has done a very good job of exploring the minds of young teens in the 70s and beyond. The dual timelines are not a problem to read and fit together well.
I highly recommend this series and look forward to reading more from this author.

This is the first time I have read one story through three books.. You can really get a build up of tension over that period of time. The story got better and better as it grew closer to the truth. The characters seemed so real that you could imagine it as a news story unfolding on a television. It deserved the great conclusion.
