I have thoroughly enjoyed every Sarah Morgan book I’ve read so far. This contemporary romance is flavored with a beach essence. I was gripped from the first chapter as SM writing style flows effortlessly and transported me to Dune Cottage the Lapthorne summer cottage owned by matriarch Cecilia. The story has family drama, romance and that ethereal feeling of beach grass swaying in the breeze. I pictured myself right in the middle of their family conundrums. At the heart is the theme of expectations and each main character states a good case for themselves. I loved the art aspect and the unveiling of that mystery at the end. If you want to be transported to Cape Cod and loose yourself in a delightful beach read then pick up her latest summer novel. You will get all the summertime vibes.Ty #NetGalley for the ARC All opinions are my own.

Sarah Morgan is becoming one of my favorite authors. She does such an incredible job writing character driven stories. Each character in this book is going through something. It's just so lovely to watch each of them grow and find the happiness they deserve that they didn't start off with. It's really just cozy vibes and really keeps you invested the whole time. If you're looking for the perfect beach read, I highly recommend this one. It will not disappoint. I can't wait to read more from Sarah.

The Summer Swap is a heartwarming love story, starting over, and being true to yourself. I loved the characters and loved following them as they discovered who they really were meant to be.

The Summer Swap is the perfect beach read that takes place at Dune Cottage on Cape Cod. It belongs to 75 year old Cecelia who has kept secrets from her family for many years. Three generations of women, Cecelia, Kristen and Lily, are all dealing with their relationships and figuring how what is best for their lives. I loved how they learned to grow and change and make the decisions that are best for them. Sweet romances and a setting that I would love to visit!

I listened to the audio version too. Dara Rosenberg did a great job on all the voices which made this book even more enjoyable. Sarah Morgan is always a must read for me!

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

First, thank you to Canary Street Press, NetGalley and Sarah Morgan for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Summer Swap is the 2nd book I have read from Sarah Morgan and I definitely will not be stopping there. Her story are cozy, sweet, dynamic, and pull at your heart strings in all the right ways.

I was intrigued from the first chapter and Lily's plight. A girl who was in medical school and gave up everything to do things her way. To be an artist and to follow her own path. And how beautifully that is interwoven with the most delicate string connecting Cecilia, always seen as the "wife" of a famous artist and never for herself as a person. They collide together at Dune cottage and the story or secrets, hurt, and healing come through at every interval.

It is a great, clam, easy summer read. I highly recommend.

Such a fun story! It reminded me of Elin Hilderbrand but better. I loved the multiple POVs. The only thing I didn’t really like was lily and how she was so anti-love in the beginning. Also her and Todd just randomly happened to love each other out of the blue.

I really enjoyed this. I liked the different POV and how they all came together as the story moved on.

I received an advanced copy. All thoughts are my own.

This was my first Sarah Morgan book and I really enjoyed it! It makes for a perfect summer beach read and I had a longing to visit Cape Cod after finishing the book.

The story follows three women: Cecilia, who just lost her husband and goes to her Cape Cod cottage to escape her family. Lily, who is hired by the management company to clean the cottage and who befriends Cecilia. Kristen, Cecilia's daughter, who is grieving the loss of her father and doesn't understand why her mother isn't also.

I absolutely loved this heartwarming story of three women who at different points in their lives finally decide to live for themselves. They've each felt the pressure to meet the expectations of others and to fulfill their roles and the wishes of others. Their stress, anxiety and need to be free spoke to me.

There's no crazy plot or reveal at the end. It's a beautiful book about family, found family, friendships, love, second chances, and finding one's self.

Contemporary little romance with some grief and drama mixed in. Cute read, definitely worth reading.

This summer three women of different generations connected by family/friendship are at a crossroads and have to decide: do they take the road they know is best, but could be hard or take the easier one.? This story of secrets, grief, and courage to make life changing decisions is told in each of the main characters voices. Enjoyable and hard to put down as you get involved in each of their lives. Another good one from a favorite author.

The Summer Swap by Sarah Morgan was such a beautiful story that spans generations, grief, found family, and love. I really enjoyed this story despite this being my first ever read from Sarah Morgan. I loved how the characters lives, grief, and troubles interconnected with one another to bring about a story that shows despite all challenges, love - whether it be through found family, lovers, or friends, does in fact heal.

This is a great summer read!

I love a good family drama, especially in the summertime. There’s something about the messiness of these domestic stories that makes them so endearing. Summer Swap by Sarah Morgan checks all my boxes for a great summer read. Location: beachfront cottage? Check. Generational family drama? Check. Family bonds that grow stronger with time? Check.

The story is told from three women's points of view. Cecelia Lapthorne, the widow of famous artist Cameron Lapthorne, feels suffocated by the life she has known and needs space to think. Lily feels suffocated by her parents' expectations for her to become a doctor. And Kristen feels suffocated by loneliness in her marriage to a renowned surgeon who can’t seem to make time for his family.

This is one of those books where the setting feels like a character. Dune Cottage, situated on Cape Cod and nestled in the dunes, is a healing place. You will enjoy the sea breezes, the sunshine soaking through the windows, and the muted seafoam green that colors the story.

Summer Swap was a breath of fresh air.

I absolutely loved this book! I thought the storyline was simple and so sweet. At first I was a little bit turned off on the fact that there were 3 narrators because it can be hard to keep track but everything was tied together at the end. This is a great beach read and for anyone who wants something fast and good. I finished it in 1 sitting at the pool.

Art. Expectations. Disappointment. Decisions. Second chances.

The Summer Swap is a heartwarming tale set in Cape Cod. The story follows two women, Cecilia and Lily, who form a surprising friendship while confronting their pasts and looking ahead to the future.

Morgan balances themes of self-discovery, healing, and the hope of going after old dreams. This book took me through all the emotions, one minute I was laughing and the next I was in tears.

If you’re looking for a book about personal growth, healing and courage - I suggest you pick this one up immediately!

I have been a fan of Sarah Morgan for quite some time now, and I know that every time I pick up one of her books I am going to laugh, cry, and wish I was on a beach. The Summer Swap fulfilled all of those things once again and I loved this multi-generational family story! It took me a minute to figure out who everyone was to each other, but once I got the hang of it, I was set, and I got lost in the drama, secrets, disappointments, and laughter. There are a handful of viewpoints which is standard for one of her books, and I loved the way they all came together and built off each other. I felt instantly transported to Cape Cod, and this was the epitome of a beach read in every way.

I still generally prefer a full cast for audiobooks with multiple viewpoints, but I thought Dara Rosenberg did a superb job with the audio and bringing the various characters/viewpoints to life. I purchased a copy on Libro.fm, and I definitely plan to revisit it at some point since it was just that good. I also highly enjoyed the art/artist aspect of the storyline, and it brought about some shocking revelations that I wasn’t expecting. I loved the blend of humor along with an air of mystery and the romance that was brought by more than one set of characters. The Summer Swap is a beautiful tale of healing and second chances that I would recommend to any women’s fiction and contemporary romance reader!
