Ohhhh this one was so fun! The Summer Swap is quite literally the perfect summery read that follows women across three generations (even though one of the three women isn't related), but the stories entertain BEAUTIFULLY. I loved reading this story. It tackled many tough conversations, what it means to take control of your own life, setting boundaries, finding yourself, love after loss, and womanhood. This is my second read by Sarah Morgan, and her novels just have a way of whisking you away and I really appreciate that.

Highly recommend The Summer Swap if you are in the mood for a wonderful woman's fiction/romance book.

Thank you NetGalley!

I had never read anything from Sarah Morgan but what a surprise! This is an easy read and even though is emotional, it’s also enjoyable. The POV from different characters is something I really enjoy. This is the perfect summer reading. I will take a look at others Sarah Morgan books. Thank you Net Gallery and Harlequin Trade Publishing

Just now seeing the cover, and wow!! It’s exactly how I pictured the cottage. This book has it all- family drama, romance, mystery, and a little hgtv thrown in there. It was so cozy, and a really quick read. My only comment is I felt like some of the characters fell too fast, and was a bit “hallmark cheesy” but overall I loved it

Sarah Morgan has become a new favorite of mine. She writes these places, so you want to be there with these characters. I loved the bond Cecelia and Lily form. I like that they found things in common, in their love of art. And how they both helped each other move forward in their lives.

Thanks NetGalley for a review copy of this book.

Cape Cod is one of my favorite places on earth and I always love when books take place there. In the Summer Swap by @sarahmorganwrites, two women use the vacation destination as a break from their regular lives and escape.

Cecilia doesn’t even know she still owns the Dune Cottage after her husband passes away. Her family doesn’t know about it either and she runs away from her 75th birthday party to get some solitude. But when she arrives, she doesn’t expect Lily to be there. Lily has been hired as a housekeeper and caretaker, but when she realized no one ever came to stay, she started living there. Cecilia offers Lily an option to continue as a housekeeper in exchange for housing.

Cecilia and Lily bond over their love of art and Cecilia helps her with her career. Cecilia’s grandson comes to check on his grandmother and also happens to be Lily’s long time crush. They also strike up their old friendship and a romance blossoms. There’s also a plot about Cecilia’s daughter Kristen, but the other two women were much more interesting.

This was a cute multigenerational novel that would be perfect to read in the sun with some lemonade. It has a lot of emotion, but lots of lighter moments too. Thank you @htpbooks @htp_hive @canarystreetpress for my gifted ebook. The Summer Swap is out now.

This was a great family drama and I loved all the perspectives. It spoke of grief in a very relatable way and you could feel all the connections through the writing. I would definitely recommend this to people looking for a heartfelt family drama with a sprinkle of romance, comedy and grief thrown in.

A quick, easy read with very lovable characters. I enjoy dual POVs, and that aspect definitely added to this story. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth in this summer read, as many are typically fluffy.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ebook copy. This was my second experience with a Sarah Morgan novel, and I thoroughly enjoyed "Summer Swap." The book captured the delightful, feel-good essence of a Hallmark movie, perfectly encapsulating the warmth of summer. The characters were endearing and relatable, often making me feel as though I were part of their storyline. I especially appreciated how the story concluded but wanted there to be a sequel.

I’m a huge fan of Sarah’s Christmas books so this summer moment was refreshing! I’m a sucker for a multi POV, it just makes the story more in depth & this was fantastic.

After loving The Book Club Hotel, I couldn’t wait to read more from Sarah Morgan. A second chance romance, a beautiful summer setting, I really loved this novel. Thank you NetGalley and Harlequinn.

This book was such a breathe of fresh air in the summer at Cape Cod but at the same time it talks about heavy topics that most people don’t really talk about.

The friendship between Cecilia and Lily was so amazing even though they were so apart in age was so amazing. The way their friendship grew warms my heart.

Lily and Todd??? Such a cute hallmark second chance meeting.

Loved this book

This was an enjoyable summer read by Sarah Morgan. It's the story of three women all at different stages in life and all with troubles of their own. Their lives converge one summer at Dune Cottage and will never be the same again. A perfect beach read! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

This book was so fun for a summer read! It has many of my favorite things in a book: romance (with some added family drama), multiple POVs, and the super scenic setting of beautiful Cape Cod!

This story follows three different women who are all interconnected with family, marriage, and healing. It has characters with varying age groups, clean romance, and a captivating story.

Note that the book does touch on some heavy topics, so be sure to do your research for potential triggers. Despite the heavy topics, it does have a lot of lighthearted and fun parts to it as well.

Overall I really enjoyed this one! I think that no matter your age, you'll be able to find something relatable or enjoyable about this book. The message behind it is so fun as well - finding the courage to let your own happiness take the lead and do what you love, no matter the stage you are at in life.

I’m between stars on this one but that’s because I enjoyed the book more as it went on. At the beginning I felt like there was a lot of talk about bad marriages and the death of Cecelia’s husband/ Kristen’s father. So, for me, I found the beginning kind of sad. But as the book went on, the characters started to find happiness in their lives again and the ending was super happy.

Three women are at a turning point: Cecelia is a widow who is having issues going along with the perfect image of her husband, Kristen is deciding what to do about her marriage after feeling let down by the lack of support from her husband when her father died, and Lily has left medical school to pursue her actual love which is art.

Cecelia leaves “her birthday party” which is more like a celebration of her dead husband’s art career. She runs to their home on the Cape. No one knows about the home because Cecelia thought he sold it decades ago.

Lily is already living in the abandoned cottage. She’s been working as a cleaning lady to save money to pursue her art career. And no one has been in the cottage in decades.

But of course Cecelia shows up at the cottage unannounced while Lily is there.

Cecelia invites Lily to stay and the two help each other find their way again.

Lily also has a tie to Cecelia’s family through her grandchildren, one of which is Lily’s estranged best friend and one her longtime crush.

It took a little while at the beach but I felt everyone got a lovely ending to their story.

I got to read an early ebook edition from NetGalley . Thank you!

Hallmark vibes. This is my second book from Sarah Morgan and I just love how cozy her writing is. A good plot with multiple ages represented. Based on The Cape which just adds to the hallmark vibes!

Sarah Morgan really knows how to make typical life problems into something that we care about. A husband that’s too busy, coming back from infidelity, choosing a career that’s fulfilling, etc. I was rooting for all of her characters, even the ones that were supposed to be unlikeable.

The ending was great, and there were even a few unseen twists in there! I adore the covers of her books, and this one is no exception. A wonderful summer read for people who identify as women. Romance isn’t the main plot, but it’s in there which I look forward to in her books.

Sarah Morgan’s books remind me that I love being a woman and all the things that come with it. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this ARC for an honest review.

The Summer Swap is the story of an unlikely trio over a summer in Cape Cod: Cecilia Lapthorne is celebrating her 70th birthday; her grandson Todd is visiting; Lily, who has had a long-time crush on Todd, is cleaning houses on Cape Cod.

I wanted to read this novel because I have enjoyed previous reads by Sarah Morgan, and I enjoy beach reads.

This is a delightful novel! I enjoyed having both an older person and a younger couple represented; all three characters brought a lot to this book. I recommend The Summer Swap for anyone looking for a lovely summer read.

Thank you NetGalley for this arc.

This book deals with a lot. Romance, grief, healing, marriage, and family. Although it has some weighted topics, this book was also funny and light.
