Hilarious banter, scorching chemistry that sets pages on fire (Olivia and Chuck? More like Olivia and Smolder!), and a challenge that'll have you laughing until you snort. Imagine Fifty Shades if Anastasia and Christian were forced to be celibate... for a month! This is a wild ride filled with unresolved feelings, secret agendas, and enough will-they-won't-they tension to keep you guessing. Five high-fiving, can't-put-it-down stars! Trust me, go in blind and devour this gem!

Whew! There is so much to unpack in this storyline. This is the first [author:Holly James|21949423] book I’ve read, and it wasn’t a bad introduction! [book:Name Your Price|201102386] tells the story of Olivia Martin and Chuck Walsh and there on and off again relationship. A very dramatic and filmed breakup between the two goes viral and an opportunity to win a million dollars on the game “Name Your Price” is dangled in front of the two that they can’t pass up. Olivia’s grandmother has fought hard to keep her out of the limelight with her parents being Hollywood Royalty but after this viral video past hurts and decisions by Olivia’s parents are brought to the surface. Nevertheless, Olivia takes the odds and sets out to win a million dollars even if it means being stuck in a house with her ex who she can’t stand. Simply, there isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her grandmother’s well-being. What they don’t expect are the rules and challenges thrown their way that will not only test their chemistry but bring up some unhealed, unresolved wounds for both Olivia and Chuck.

People often try to do what they think is “best” for those they love and sometimes that turns out to be harmful. The cycles of generational trauma and the desire to break those tendencies are seen in this book. The author created relatable characters whose overall good intentions get them into trouble. In the end, you are rooting for a comeback and redemption in both the main characters. And I mean who doesn’t love a good comeback sprinkled with some spice?
“When you live with pain, you do everything you can to protect yourself from more pain, even if you don’t realize you’re doing it.”

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for the ARC!

This was my favorite Rom Com I've read in a while! So fun!
We follow our couple (both known in the Hollywood eye) as their very brutal break up goes viral! In response they are offered to be on a reality show. If they can live together (and never leave the house) for one month than they can win a huge cash prize!
Producers throw them into frustrating, and often hilarious, challenges, games and situations that are a delight to read!
I loved both our main characters and at the core of the entertaining show and witty banter we see a beautiful love story, as well as two troubled people finding their peace and resolutions to their problems alongside each other's help and support.
Loved! Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️From the publisher Penguin Group: Olivia Martin and Chuck Walsh have chemistry. Too much chemistry, perhaps. After one huge, very public fight, they finally break up for good. Or so they think. Someone was filming their dramatic argument in the street and—because Olivia’s parents were Hollywood royalty, and because Chuck’s an actor whose star is on the rise—the video goes viral. When Name Your Price, a reality game show, sees the footage, they invite Olivia and Chuck to shoot a very unusual challenge: Live locked in a house together for one month and they will be paid a million dollars. Each.

Olivia really needs the money if she's going to keep her beloved grandmother in her nursing home, and Chuck is desperate for any chance to win Olivia back. So the game is on—even as the show tries to pluck every nerve, including no touching. With stakes that have never been higher and their explosive chemistry at a fever pitch, can Chuck and Olivia keep it together (and their hands off each other) for one month? Find out next week on Name Your Price!

My review: Olivia and Chuck are super intense. They fight passionately, they can't keep their hands off each other, and they each have big problems. They are definitely both interesting and exciting characters.
The reader gets everything from Olivia's point of view but it's clear Chuck is fascinated by her. He doesn't even hide it as well as she does. Their attraction jumps off the pages!
The premise of the game/reality show at times seems mean, but isn't reality tv that way? It also reminds us that reality shows are anything but real. They are set up, manipulated, and rarely all that the viewer is show. As we learn more and more about both characters we root even harder for them to work it out. Being able to clean up the problems of their pasts is also part of the suspense. Hollywood, rumors, scandal...this book has it all. It is a great ride.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group for an advance digital copy in exchange for my review.

"Not for a million dollars!" - that is what Olivia declares during her very public breakup with Chuck. But, as the old saying goes be careful what you wish for. In the era of viral videos such statements can come back to haunt you, as Olivia and Chuck the stars of this realistic rom-com learn the hard way. "Name Your Price" is an easy beach read with laugh out loud moments that bring joy to the reader.

Holly James's latest rom-com is a wild ride, and I'm here for it! In this clever take on the reality TV craze, "Name Your Price" locks exes Olivia and Chuck in a house for a month with a million dollars on the line. The catch? They can't touch each other, and with their history of volcanic chemistry and equally explosive arguments, it's a recipe for disaster... and great TV. The stakes are personal for both—Olivia's fighting for her grandmother's care, and Chuck is desperate to win Olivia back. This book brilliantly balances humor, heartache, and the sheer absurdity of reality show antics. It's a second-chance romance that keeps you guessing if they’ll make up or break down, making each page a total pleasure. Definitely a must-read for anyone who loves their love stories with a good dose of laughter and tension!

Name Your Price by Holly James was a cutesy read.

After a huge public fight that goes VIRAL,
“Ex’s” Olivia Martin and Chuck Walsh are invited to reality tv show Name Your Price. If they can mange to live together for 4 weeks (filmed of course) they will be awarded 1 million dollars, EACH. The problem are the rules. They can’t leave the house, cannot engage in ANY physical contact and every day they must play a challenge. In dire need to money to keep her grandmother in her nursing home, Olivia agrees. What’s the worst that can happen when you’re trapped with an ex for a month?

A different twist on your typical Hollywood/celebrity romance. We start out by witnessing an explosive break-up between the daughter of a famous 30-year-old scandal, Olivia, and recently fired actor, Chuck. A video of their break-up is leaked and goes viral, prompting an offer for them to star in a reality show called "Name Your Price". The two must live in a house together for one month while being watched around the clock. However, there's a catch! The two must not have any physical contact and of course, the producers are meddling to entice the two. Think "Too Hot to Handle" but with additional challenges (being handcuffed while building furniture, etc).

When I read the summary for this book I knew I HAD to read it. To my delight and surprise I was able to get a ARC. This book was such a refreshing read! Name Your Price had such a unique a fun storyline I found myself finishing this book in no time. Name Your Price is perfect for someone who needs a quick beach read or just a palette cleanser. Both the FMC AND MMC had fantastic chemistry and I enjoyed their banter. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It was a blast to read.

things that worked for me on this book:
- unique & interesting concept
- great chemistry
- fun side characters

things that didn’t quite work for me:
- pacing felt off (their time in the house felt like forever but was only like…. 4 challenges??)
- characters were incongruous (if chuck was a selfish asshole why was he immediately so considerate in the house when the cameras weren’t even on
- miscommunication 😪 if characters got their words out faster, the others wouldn’t have time to run away with an incomplete story (also like please just tell your gf you signed a NDA and can’t talk about certain things ugh)
- i wanted more about her parents!!! that whole backstory was so interesting and i would’ve loved more

Charming story with compelling characters. Perfect book for a summer read.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC.

Fun beach read. Olivia, a magazine writer, and Chuck, a young actor, meet when she is assigned to interview him. They hit it off immediately and begin dating, but mostly what they seem to do is fight and have make up sex. One day they break up in the middle of the street and the video goes viral, likely due to the fact that Olivia took her shirt off and screamed she wouldn't get back together with Chuck for a million dollars.

Enter: Reality tv shows producers who offer them a hefty sum to live together for a month. Seems manageable until the producers come up with all sorts of ways to torment them.

Perfectly fun novel

This book was adorable, it was the perfect level of ridiculous for a contemporary romance that feels like fiction but the emotions read like truth.
Olivia and Chuck are in a volatile off and on again relationship. Olivia runs from her problems and Chuck is a people pleaser, so they can't seem to ever finish any fight they start but they also can't stay away from each other (or keep their hands off each other, a very important piece of information). When a video of one of their fights goes viral they're invited onto a reality show that will force them to spend 30 days together uninterrupted. They must participate in a series of challenges, all the while Olivia is unable to escape the conversations she always wants to avoid.
The premise is ridiculous, but in an age where we have reality shows like Vanilla Ice Goes Amish and MILF Island... it's really not that out there. What grounds everything is Olivia and Chuck's relationship. They have issues beyond their control and they need to learn from their mistakes in the past. I actually really appreciated the reality tv aspect of the story, it didn't end the way I expected it to, which is always refreshing. You want a HEA but you don't want a predictable HEA.
Beyond that, Holly James is a good writer. I felt invested in the characters even though I have nothing in common with them (I avoid conflict at all costs and wouldn't be caught dead screaming shirtless in the streets like Chuck and Olivia are in their viral video). I would gladly take a prequel to this story and another novel based on Olivia's best friend. I look forward to reading her other novels.

I couldn’t out this down. The romance in this is both simple and complex. It’s got layers. It’s vulnerable and messy and yet so clear and romantic.

Holly James is such a fantastic author and after reading her novel “Deja Glitch” I had to get my hands on another from her! I was not disappointed! This was such a cute, fun, easy romcom!

This one follows Olivia and Chuck. Olivia is a Hollywood love child of an affair and chuck is a struggling actor and when their explosive, very public break up goes viral they’re made an offer to be on reality tv. Together. Living under one roof for one month!

The chemistry, tension and the second chance. This one was truly so cute!

Thank you Netgalley, Dutton and author Holly James for providing me an advance readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

Although the premise of the book is what initially drew me in, the more I read the more I loved this book. The chemistry between Olivia and Chuck is undeniable and can be easily seen throughout the entirety of the book. I loved seeing their story and reading about them getting over their issues and rekindling their romance. I highly recommend this book to all, as I truly believe it is a great summer read.

Thank you NetGalley, the publishers and the author for the e-ARC.

I had a lot of fun reading this! Olivia and Chuck, our main characters, go on a very intense lovers to enemies to lovers journey here, and I liked being along for the ride. Olivia is a journalist whose parents were both Hollywood icons most famous for their affair that led to Olivia's birth. They died when she was very little and she's been raised by her grandmother who is now in a very expensive LA retirement home that Olivia can no longer afford. Chuck is a B-list actor who was on his way to making it big when he mysteriously quit a big movie and got a bad reputation for being difficult on set. They met when Olivia was assigned to write a profile of Chuck and their chemistry was so immediately intense that she gave up the story and they started dating. Unfortunately, they've got a pretty tumultuous romance, and the last straw for Olivia is when Chuck misses her grandmother's birthday dinner for an audition. They break up - for real this time! - and get into such a big public fight outside of Chuck's apartment that a video someone took goes viral. Olivia, who has mostly tried to stay out of the spotlight because of her parents, is trying to navigate her way through this when she and Chuck get an offer they can't refuse - they get a million dollars each if they can just survive one month together in a house (under constant surveillance) for a reality TV show called "Name Your Price." Of course there are all kinds of trials and tribulations they have to go through - there's no internet, there's only one bed, initially there's no other furniture, and they're not allowed to touch each other without losing money from their millions. That last one is harder than it should be for people who seem to hate each other because their chemistry is really just so explosive. The premise here is a bit silly but I loved the show as a plot device to make these two actually talk to each other. I also enjoyed the secondary characters here along with the intrigue of Olivia's family history and Chuck's mysterious departure from the movie. I was pulled in right from the start and stayed up way too late to see what happened with Olivia and Chuck.

Cute and easy to read rom-com. I liked the premise of a reality show and this was a pretty quick read would definitely be perfect beach/pool read. I want to thank NetGalley and PENGUIN GROUP Dutton for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Loved the premise but not the execution. The MMC and FMC were each unlikeable and incredibly immature. They didn’t make for a couple that I would want to cheer for. The tension between them in the house was flat despite the great setup. So much telling but not enough showing with the writing. I’m sorry to say this one was a miss for me. Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
