Olivia and Chuck have a chemistry fueled on again, off again relationship. That is, at least, until a recording of their public breakup goes viral. When that leads to a a million dollar offer to spend a month together for a reality tv show, they find out if they can stand each other long enough to win.

A quick beach read that will have you laughing with, and at, Olivia and Chuck, while also having your heart strings tugged at during the tender moments. Recommend for anyone looking for a sweet rom com!

Thanks to Penguin Group Dutton for the ARC in exchange for a fair review.

This book sounded like it was gonna be interesting, and I mean it was but for me, it just wasn't my thing.
I didn't really like it too much. I mean the whole idea of reality show and putting 2 exes in a house to win a ton of money had potential. It was a strange way for these 2 (Olivia & Chuck) to deal with their feelings (unresolved). To me a lust between them I guess you could call it but not real fire-y chemistry which was where it took things to the odd part. The way that they acted was kind of petty and very immature and I just couldn't enjoy the story.
I really have nothing else to say because it just wasn't something for me.
Now like I say on some books that are not my thing, I am a mood reader so maybe it was just that and don't completely take my word for a book. The best thing to do is read it yourself to find out.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁: This was a fun Hollywood romance with a twist. I’m not a huge reality show person but I loved the drama of this book! It was fun, flirty, full of banter and forced proximity. I really enjoyed going on the journey with these two characters. If you want a book with fun vibes - check this one out.

Olivia and Chuck just had an epic breakup it was made worse because it was caught on camera and went viral. These two have volatile relationship with explosive chemistry that’s for sure!

Olivia is the product of a Hollywood scandal, her famous mother had an affair with her married father and ended up having her. Then they died when she was a baby being chased by the paparazzi. But Olivia wanted nothing to do with that part of her history. Her grandmother raised her and now she does everything she can to keep her grandma taken care of, but the bill of her care is bankrupting her.

Chuck is a down on his luck actor who is having trouble finding work thanks to something that happened on set. He couldn’t be more opposite than Olivia but he is drawn to her. But Olivia just lost it on him and ended things, because he missed her grandma’s birthday for an audition, and went nuclear.

But that explosion opened a new door and now Chuck and Olivia are being asked to be on a reality show. It would featured them in a house for 30 days and if they make it to the end they both get $1M dollars. Can they shove down their feelings and survive a month together. Will the forced proximity cause them to rekindle their romance or destroy each other.

Second chance romance and romance a reality competition, yes please! Would I watch a show where these exes are locked in a house together for a month? You bet I would! This was a fun one!

Super fun read with two MCs that honestly had really great chemistry with one another! This is my second book by Holly James and I have yet to be disappointed - definitely recommend for all my romcom lovers out there 🤗

Received as a NetGalley book.

I originally requested this on NetGalley because I thought it would be a cute little easy read. I will admit I am not a fan of dating and reality shows so I don't know if that influenced my thoughts at all but I will say that I just really didn't end up liking this.

I found both lead characters to be pretty unlikeable. Olivia and Chuck were so incredibly immature even though given what we know about them, especially Olivia's family history, she should be more mature, at least about certain things. I didn't feel as though they really grew as characters/people until the very end of the book and even then I thought the changes were too much, too fast.

Personally I didn't feel as though they belonged together at all and that they only way they could have possibly worked through their problems enough for me to accept the relationship would have been for them both to get lots of therapy over their deep seated issues.

And then, after so much drama, it was all wrapped up way too quickly though at that point I was kind of just glad to be done.

Overall I did not enjoy this book and would definitely suggest something else if someone wanted a good romantic comedy.

Olivia Martin and Chuck Walsh have chemistry that has them swinging wildly from passionate sex to passionate arguments. After a video of them breaking up goes viral, the reality game show Name Your Price makes them a deal they can’t turn down – spend 1 month locked in a house with each other to win $1,000,000 each. Olivia desperately needs the money, and Chuck desperately wants Olivia back. Will they be able to keep their hands off each other for that month?

This story had an interesting premise, but the main characters drove me crazy! They both needed to do a lot of growing up before considering being with anyone else, let alone each other. It felt to me like lust was all they had, not the foundation for a lifelong relationship. There were plenty of funny moments in the story, though, so you may enjoy this if you are looking for something to make you laugh.

Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

They weren’t even together that long and it was a lot of on-again-off-again. They both need personal and relationship therapy. She’s a little witch sometimes.

First 40% of the book, these two should absolutely not be together. Sexual chemistry does not a healthy relationship make.

The middle when filming the show: eh it was fine? Get to know them better but they still barely work.

Pre-epilogue - chance they break up later, extremely likely. Post-epilogue - course they make it.

The premise of this book was really interesting! I loved the reality TV aspect of it, and each of the character's stories sounded unique. I just never found myself caring too much about either of them. I think maybe I needed to see more of their relationship prior to the fight in the street, or I needed to know a bit more about them on their own, I just wasn't that invested in what happened. It was an interesting book, and I'd recommend it to those who are looking for a romance that's not too serious. Thank you to Dutton for NetGalley for this ARC!

Thank you to PENGUIN GROUP Dutton and NetGalley for the ARC of this novel. The conceit of the book was interesting to me in a viral fight becoming an episode on a reality show but it did not get as far into the filming as I expected since they were only in the house for about 9 days. That compressed time felt extremely short for the resolution to come but that is why we have suspension of disbelief. Overall, this was a super quick read but enjoyable to pass the time. I doubt I would re-read this in the future but it is bubbly, quirky and fun. 3.25 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for a copy of this book!

I really loved the concept of this book. It's lovers to enemies to lovers meets reality shows. I wanted to like this book a lot more than I did. I just found Olivia unlikable, but I'm not sure if that was intentional. Everything she did was an irrational reaction and she wasn't able to control her emotions in the slightest. Chuck, on the other hand, I liked and was rooting for him the whole time. I think I was hoping for more reality show than we ended up getting. I did feel like it dragged on but didn't at the same time. I do think the ending wrapped up the story nicely and I liked the way it ended, it's just the middle parts I don't know that I fully enjoyed.

Unfortunately, second chance romances are just not for me I fear. I did like the premise of the reality TV show, but I felt like the execution fell flat.

I thought this book was adorable! I felt the tension, the love, and I loved that the back and forth felt so realistic! The chemistry between the main characters leaped off the page and made it feel like their feelings made sense, even being in a situation very few of us find ourselves in.
I found myself actually liking our characters, caring about them, and truly wanting them to find their happy ending.

There was a bit too much spice for me as it didn't always add to the plot. I found the concept of the book really interesting as these exes were forced to confront their feelings due to the proximity. I enjoyed the chemistry of the relationship but felt as though the book missed the mark on some important topics.

This book had a fun, fresh concept and was a joy to read. Thanks to Holly James, NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read.

Fun story felt like I was watching an actual tv show and laughing about the circumstances of the characters. It is not a secret that they want to be with each other but is that what they want more than to win the competition? There is where the real pull shows.

I am not sure i have read a book with this amount of chemistry and magnetism between the two main characters. Liv and Chuck were an explosive couple whose fiery breakup went viral and now are capitalizing on it to earn money. Now I expected this to be two main characters who were vapid, annoying and superficial ; and truly the first chapter or two makes you think its headed in that direction. But keep reading because it peels back the layers of their gorgeous exteriors to discover characters with nuance and definitely some mental health needs (bonus points for mentioning therapy in the epilogue!). I really enjoyed it.

This was my first Holly James book, but it won’t be my last. If you like “Love Island”+“Big Brother”= “Name your Price”. Olivia and Chuck’s big blow up goes viral after she says I wouldn’t get back with you for a million dollars. In jumps reality tv and a forced proximity trope! Would you live with your ex-boyfriend for a million dollars? Olivia has to say yes so she can pay for health care for her grandmother and Chuck says yes so he can pursue his acting career.
Thirty days isn’t that long…or is it? Olivia and Chuck definitely continue to have feelings for either and it can get a little steamy in this house. The banter between these two is great! But who will win the big pay out? Pick up this book and find out!

I enjoyed Holly James previous book “The Deja Glitch” so i was really excited to read “Name Your Price” and it did not disappoint.

I loved the idea of living in the same house as your ex to try to win a million dollars (each!) even though I don’t have an ex that I would ever consider doing that. Olivia & Chuck keep breaking up and getting back together so it made sense for them to go on this journey to really figure out how to work with each other.

I found myself laughing out loud at the ridiculous challenges they had to do but I also loved how their characters and relationship with each other developed.

I was kind of hoping they would make it the full 30 days and I was REALLY disappointed that they didn’t. Holly - can we please have a version where they do make the full 30 days??? I want to see what else the production company had in store for them. Lol

Overall, a very fun book that was kind of ridiculous but that was the fun of it!
