Love this story. Perfect blend of sweet, romantic, spicy and interesting. The characters have great chemistry and lots of fun twists and turns that were expected. The main plot and all the subplots worked well together to make Name Your Prince the perfect weekend read!

Very disappointed with this read. The story sounded interesting enough, even if I had a bit of an eyebrow raise around the premise. The problem for me was that I started off not liking Olivia very much and, as the book continued, I grew to really dislike her. For the entire book, she was so caught up in herself and this strange sexual chemistry with Chuck that she ended up being very one dimensional and, well, not the best person. The whole book starts with Olivia as this emotionally volatile person who blows up in a very public way, despite the fact that she insists she has always been trying to fly under the radar because of her parents and their situation. And she never seems to get any better, always jumping to the worst conclusions, and not really learning from her behaviour. Chuck was generally likeable for the duration of the book. I never found that he was doing anything wrong other than maybe pursuing this person who was really selfish and focused on herself. I definitely have a hard time with women in books who seem to be users, and that was the impression I got of Olivia.

Add to that, the fact that the book and plot made me constantly question it, and you get a recipe for something that just didn't work for me. I felt like the author didn't really think through the story fully, and that she pretty much wrapped it all up with a bow that let Olivia have a wonderful HEA that felt like rewarding a bad person. Boo.

The writing is fine, but I found myself really wanting the story to move along. Chemistry with someone where you constantly picture them naked can be good romance, but this time, it did nothing for me to cement the idea that Olivia and Chuck were truly in love with each other. They seemed to be addicted to the make up sex and fighting which didn't seem healthy or sustainable.

The only thing that bumped this to a 2 star was the actual last few chapters, because the story got more interesting and Olivia seemed to have an attempted redemption arc. Again, though, things just wrapped up too nicely for her and I was a bit grumbly over it because she didn't deserve it.

Holly James is the master of writing romance books that exist in the entertainment industry. It would be so easy to write these stories and make them unapproachable or out of touch with average life, but she does it in such an inviting and fun way that it's almost impossible to not get swept up in it.

I really loved everything about this story. Chuck and Olivia were such interesting characters and their flaws really made them all the more interesting to me. I thought the plot was really well thought out, and I could easily imagine all of this so vividly in my head. I think romance lovers will enjoy this a lot.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group for this!

This book was a really cute twist on forced proximity. The chemistry between the main characters was great and it was intriguing to see how their story would end. The beginning of the book felt a bit rushed, but the time the characters were on the show and the relationship between the main character and her best friend and grandma were really sweet. A nice light read!

4.25 stars!

Olivia (daughter of Hollywood darlings) and Chuck (B-list movie star) are hot off an incredibly viral public breakup when they’re approached with an opportunity neither of them can refuse.. Live with each other on a reality TV show in the same house for one month and win one million dollars (each). They each have reasons for needing the money, and so this fire and gasoline couple sets out to win a fortune and figure out what to do about their relationship gone wrong.

I was surprised at how much I loved this read! Talk about a heavy hitting, giggly, swoon worthy rom-com. The plot was super unique. Every piece of this story was well written and I read this book in two days easily.

I didn’t know what to expect out of the setting of the book considering most of the book took place with the main characters trapped in a house together, but the story provided lots of twists and turns and I never got bored. Sometimes the Hollywood trope gets cheesy, but this was an excellent example of all of the conflict Hollywood can cause which made it very realistic. All of the subplots pushed the story along and gave a lot of depth to our characters and the book as a whole.

The chemistry between Olivia and Chuck was exploding off the pages and I was rooting so hard for their happily ever after by the end! The romance was perfectly executed. The character development was one of my favorite pieces of the story. It was evident from the start that these two had a lot of growing up to do. We covered a lot throughout the book but both Olivia and Chuck had excellent character arcs that had me hooked and wanting to keep reading.

Oh, and I loved the ending! Add this to your summer TBR immediately.

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group- Dutton for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I cannot tell you how much I loved this book because the limit does not exist. The premise, the chemistry, the characters, the tension, the DRAMA! This book is a whole ass vibe.

Chuck “The six-pack snack” is the swooniest but Holly James fed us a whole ass meal with this story. It’s a quick read, fast paced perfection but with a ton of humor, charm, and emotion.

Olivia Martin & Chuck Walsh are so good but so bad together. They are the epitome of a toxic couple- lots of fighting, lots of arguing, lots of make up sex..
Grandma Ruby believes they're perfect together, though. It's probably because she's lived a while and has seen it all. And she sees something in Chuck and Olivia, something that makes them better together. However, all Olivia sees is a hard-headed man who is difficult to work with, and all Chuck sees is a stubborn woman who is afraid to embrace emotion. Olivia, of course, has her reasons for her actions, as does Chuck.
While Olivia has grown up in the industry, having celebrity parents, Chuck is trying to make his way into the industry and it is a difficult time for both of them. Chuck is having a hard time finding work, and Olivia is running out of money. Stress from their personal lives added to the stress of their relationship causes Olivia and Chuck to have yet another breakup, this time, it's recorded and goes viral! Now the whole world sees Olivia half-naked, throwing her shirt at her boyfriend in a heated argument. Olivia, of course, is embarrassed by this until she's contacted by the executive producer of a big-time reality show and offered a million dollar deal. How can she say no?! How can Chuck say no?!
In order to win the $1M prize, she has to live with Chuck for one month- not bad, until she hears the details. Neither person can leave the house, and if they do, they forfeit the money. They can't even go to the pool house, there's only one bathroom (how would that work with Chuck's 10-step night time routine?) There is no dishwasher, they have to agree on dinner each night, absolutely no touching, and no internet (so they're forced to.. talk to each other. Yikes!) They have to work for things like furniture, a dishwasher, another bathroom..by completing challenges, of course! Can they make it a whole month without getting sick of each other? Better yet, without breaking any rules?!
I absolutely loved this book! It's based on a game show with two characters that love each other so much yet are toxic as heck! Olivia and Chuck can't get enough of each other. All drama aside, they are perfect for each other, but they both have things they have to work on in order to become their best selves. Grandma Ruby knows this best. Olivia uncovers some truths about her parents (who are labeled as scandalous) with the help of Grandma Ruby. She helps heal some scars that Olivia has always held, unaware of the truths of her parents' relationship. This is such a great book, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, fast-paced, and very entertaining read! 4.5 stars!

Thank you NetGalley, Penguin Group, and Holly James!

This story revolves around two exes who are given an opportunity to win a million dollars by living together. Although I couldn't fathom being in such a situation, the book's concept worked well. I enjoyed the reality TV aspect, but I felt that the tension between the characters could have been stronger compared to what was initially suggested. Both Olivia and Chuck were likable characters, and their chemistry was obvious from the beginning. I loved watching them support each other, even when they were fighting and feeling miserable. This was my first book by Holly James, but it won't be my last. The book was such an enjoyable and adorable read! The book can easily be read within a day.

Thank you to NetGalley and to Penguin Group Dutton for giving me a copy

One of the best romance books I've read in a long time. With an original, fast-paced plot and well-written characters, this one will have you rooting for a happy ending! The characters were consistent, real, and experienced so much growth. Its not often that an author makes time and space in a book to really flush out a character and how their mind works and why, but Holly James knocks it out of the park! I'll be recommending this book to everyone!

Olivia and Chuck live in L.A. in the thick of all things Hollywood. She is the product of an affair between an actress and director which created a scandal in her reveal, and he is a B-list actor recently fired from a blockbuster production and no one knows why. Their relationship is volatile - either they’re screaming and fighting or they’re making up - and when their chemistry is caught on paparazzi’s cameras, they’re offered a reality show that they cannot refuse.

Oh, this was some super fun trash. I say that in the best way. I enjoyed their love-hate relationship, the fact that they were put within proximity and made to follow the show’s rules, and although in the beginning, I didn’t think I liked Chuck, his personality grew on me. This slowish-burn (and surprisingly character development-heavy on her part) romance was a quick read and I could not put it down. Highly recommend this rom-com with a splash of spice as a good summer/beachy read.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

A fun romp with a good premise and nice story! Olivia and Chuck are exes with a spark and zero healthy communication habits. Will getting locked in a mansion together - with a million dollars at stake - bring them back together or tear them apart? Throw in some meddling rreality show producers, a tragic history, and one mysterious wronged wife, and you have a sizzling cocktail of tension, acceptance, and love.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dutton Books for the opportunity to read and review this!

This was a really cute book about a couple in turmoil given the chance of a lifetime to win a million dollars! The main characters have a great development story and I loved reading about them! It also is just a little bit spicy, probably a 2 out of 5.

This book was definitely cute, but wasn't a 5 star for me personally. Insta love is not my favorite trope and these two characters just saw each other and instantly got butterflies and fell in love. I was also really frustrated with the FMC for most of the book and thought that she was being unfair while the MMC was actually trying his best. Thankfully she realized it on her own, and ended up owning her own faults. I thought it ended nicely and wrapped everything up and everyone got their happily ever after in this book. Overall I would give this 3.5 out of 5 stars and would recommend if someone is looking for an insta love, forced proximity type book.

Thank you to Penguin Group Dutton and NetGalley for the ARC of Name Your Price in exchange for an honest and independent review.

Olivia Martin and Chuck Walsh are exactly what happens when a match meets dynamite. Their passion burns hot and then inevitably leads to an explosion of tempers and full blown arguments. Their relationship has been filled with extreme highs and impossible lows. As it turns out, their final blow up is captured on film when their very public break up is taken to the streets of Hollywood. With Chuck being an up and coming actor and Olivia, a Hollywood mystery with star studded parents, it's no wonder the clip of their heated break up goes mega viral over night.

As media attention draws to a peak, the couple is approached by a reality game show called Name Your Price with an offer they simply cannot refuse. With both parties desperately needing cash flow for very different reasons, Olivia and Chuck decide to take the offer: a million dollars each if they can remain locked up in the same house for a month without killing each other, leaving, or touching (ouch!). With Olivia running out of funds to keep her grandma Ruby in her assisted living, and Chuck grasping at any opportunity to try to win Olivia back, how bad could a month be? As they quickly find out, this reality game show means business. Not only are they confided to the same house, but the house only has one bed, one bathroom, no furniture, no internet, and absolutely no touching. Through a series of game show challenges, in depth interviews, and an abundance of down time, Olivia and Chuck start to rekindle their relationship piece by explosive piece.

Do they have what it takes to make it a month together in order to win the million dollars? Or will their past, insecurities, and hormones get the best of them? Nothing is off the table when it comes to this reality show down and they just may be in over their head.

I have to say, this was an incredibly cute read. I loved the reality show aspect of the novel and the interesting challenges thrown their way. Even better then that, I enjoyed how their down time gave them time to reconnect, open up about their insecurities and be transparent about each of their faults to better assess when ultimately ended their relationship. Grandma Ruby is an absolute doll and one of my favorite supporting characters. This is a great beach read for this summer with just a hint of spice that I think everyone will enjoy. Solid 4/5 stars from me!

As someone who loves reality tv and romance, this was such a unique twist! I was hooked from the beginning and found myself getting lost in the story and the "show" that Olivia and Chuck were on. I loved having Olivia's POV and getting to experience her character growth. I do wish there was a little bit more tension and longing, as well as a stronger connection between the main characters in the beginning of the book to make it clear they belong together, but this was still such a fun read! I would definitely recommend this and read more from the author.

Thank you Netgalley and Penguin Random House for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve never read a game show romance before so this book was super interesting! Two exes who hate each other are locked together in a house. If they make it a month, they leave with a million dollars each.

Things I liked about this book
-the relationship between Olivia and her grandma was super cute
-lots of chemistry between the main characters
-Chuck had an extremely supportive family. I loved his sister and parents!
-interesting plot with the game show aspect
-the characters do grow a lot and you can see them working on themselves and working through things

Things I disliked
-in my opinion, Chuck isn’t super likeable. You learn more about him as the book goes along and he gets better but I didn’t want to root for him at the beginning
-the game show host is just a mean person. I feel like game show hosts are usually supposed to be at least somewhat likeable but I did not like him at all
-following up on the host being mean, the game show itself did a couple of things that I did not love that also felt just mean. Some of it tied in with the host but some were initiated by the producers
-I got a little whiplash at how quick things changed at the end

Overall I enjoyed this book. It was a little different than the normal romances I read, so it was able to keep my attention. It was also a super quick and easy read
