I will admit that it took me a few times to really get into this book. Once I reached chapter 7 i was hooked. Chuck may seem like a self-absorbed a$$hole to Olivia, but I fell in love with him so easily. Olivia, I understand why you always want to jump his bones whenever you’re near him. There is quite a bit of miscommunication, so if that’s an ick for you then you might want to skip. I was so happy to see that Olivia was able to realize how she was letting her past and what she believed affect her relationship with Chuck. I loved how Chuck and Olivia tried to turn each other on by doing the things they knew would set each other off. Out of all the people behind the show, I hated TJ with a burning passion.

If you were offered a million dollars to live in the same house as your ex for thirty days... would you do it? Oh AND you aren't allowed to touch.

I've never been drawn to second chance romance books, but this might have sold me. I loved how the book began with action so there wasn't an issue with having to wait for the plot to pick up. The two main characters had so much depth to them and it was refreshing to read a romance book that wasn't just romance, there were real people behind the romance. The writing was fabulous and I was truly rooting for the characters along the way. Also huge props to Holly James for having female characters talk about something other than men.

tropes:
second chance romance
he falls harder
witty banter
forced proximity
tv reality show

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for gifting me this ARC in exchange for my honest review! This is my first Holly James book and rest assured it will not be my last. I cannot wait for the publish date so I can get a hard copy of this book!

After reading The Deja Glitch, I was so excited to read Name Your Price. Boy, oh boy, this did not disappoint.

Olivia and Chuck's chemistry is off-the-charts. I'm used to sexual chemistry in romance novels (duh), but these two felt more like magnets that couldn't help but be drawn to each other. I loved the reality tv aspect of the book, as it allowed Olivia and Chuck to explore both their problems as a couple, as well as their own issues with their lives in Hollywood.

I really loved this book. Holly James has solidified herself on my list of favorite authors with this book, and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Nice lighthearted rom-com! The characters had great banter and there was good tension between them. It took a little bit to really get into the story and fall in love with the characters but I enjoyed that the character's flaws were seen in the story because it made them feel more like regular people. The ending was a little quick but otherwise an enjoyable read.

5 stars. 10/10. I didn’t know how badly I needed this book until I started reading it.

After a public break up with her B list actor boyfriend, entertainment journalist Olivia loudly proclaims that she wouldn’t stay with him for a million dollars.

Next thing she knows a reality show comes knocking with just that premise, if they can live together for a month they’ll give them each a million dollars. With them both needing the cash they decide to do it. How bad can it be?

Really bad when they aren’t allowed to touch each other and the reality crew is doing everything in their power to get them to fall in love again.

I loved this book. The premise was fun. Olivia and Chuck were both great. I loved the sexual tension and the heart of the story. I can’t recommend it enough.

Thank you NetGalley and Pegnuin Group Dutton for the Arc.

Was pleasantly surprised with how captivating Name Your Price was and just how much I loved the characters. The game show ex-lovers, unmatched chemistry made it fit into an untapped category of reads for me. Chuck and Olivia have both the banter and the spice to make it a page turner. Would you stay cooped up with your ex in a house for a month for the chance to win a million dollars each?? Throw in the few challenges, no internet and ONE BED!! Holly James did a great job incorporating just the right about of spice, unwavering chemistry and banter so good it will have you ugly laughing. Definitely recommend this to any reader who loves a witty, independent FMC and a MMC who will do anything to not let the one get away!!

This is a really fun book that I enjoyed a lot. It would be perfect for those who are fans of reality TV.

This was a perfect romance novel. I didn't expect to like a book featuring a reality show this much, but it was fantastic!

Olivia and Chuck have a volatile relationship, Desperate for money, they agree to go on a reality show, but being stuck in a house together forces them to work through their issues. Olivia has to face some hard truths about herself and finally realizes that she and Chuck are perfect for each other.

I loved Chuck. The story is only told from Olivia's viewpoint, but the author does a great job conveying how much he loves her.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance.

I enjoyed this one- and i’m not a huge reality tv show person!
Olivia and Chuck’s breakup goes viral and they get a once in a lifetime opportunity to be on a reality tv show where they must live together for 30 day- the worst possible thing.

I enjoyed the banter, the tension and the back and forth between them - but what really caught me off guard was how well the author was able to bring out the good AND bad sides of the characters/ one minute i’m rooting for one of them, the next I hate them etc!!

I did feel like the ending was could have been a bit more spaced out, but I still enjoyed it!

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book!

3.5 stars rounded up to 4!

Olivia and Chuck have had an explosive relationship which leads them to be the leading stars of a new episode of Name Your Price, a TV that signs up contestants to do crazy, out of their comfort zone tasks to win a ton of money. Olivia and Chuck's task: live together in a house for a month. Seems simple, right? Not until they're not allowed to touch, have to share a bedroom and bathroom, and have other challenges along the way. Will they make it through the month? Or is their relationship too explosive to survive?

The premise of this story is so good! I love the forced proximity and the reality tv show setting, I felt like I could really envision what was happening during filming after watching a number of reality shows. I thought I knew what was going to happen but I was wrong so I was pleasantly surprised by the ending!

My biggest qualm was the alluding to sexual content throughout the whole book, it felt like wayyyy too much. We understood that they had chemistry from the first mention of their sexual tension. And the miscommunication got me...I understand that it's necessary in most story lines but I really just needed Olivia to talk to Chuck and for Chuck to talk to Olivia. At least explain their thoughts a little bit more!

Overall it was a quick and enjoyable read! I would recommend if you like forced proximity, friends to lovers (or enemies at times), and need a quick romantic comedy.

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for this ARC!

I loved this book. It was the right mix of angst, comedy, and tenderness that didn't lend itself to being cringe inducing.

Chuck and Olivia are clearly mad about each other, but their insecurities created barriers to emotional intimacy and got in the way. The way this was written was relatable, despite the fantastic situation of a viral breakup video thrusting them into the spotlight.

It's a single POV 3rd person narrative, so we get the story from Olivia's perspective told by a narrator, which left you yearning for more of Chuck's perspective. It wasn't immediately clear how much he adored her, but as it built the cadence felt right.

The side characters had dimension as well, which helped propel the story along.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a heartfelt romcom.

Name Your Price by Holly James is about a couple who recently broke up and are forced to live together in a reality show. If they last 30 days without leaving the house which has limited space, completing daily challenges and without being intimate (even hugging) they will each win one million days. If they are caught being intimate they will be penalized a certain amount. I really enjoyed Holly James previous novel “The Deja Glitch.” I did not enjoy Name Your Price as much. That being said it was enjoyable. I think readers who want something light hearted, a rom com, and quite a bit of spice will enjoy it. I appreciated the unique concept. I do feel like the ending was a bit rushed. All in all it is a very fun story and gives you a sense of hope. 3.5 stars rounded up to a 4

First thank for trusting and allowing me the chance to read this for a honest review!

At first I had a real issue with the way the book started. It was all fighting and running until about halfway then I started getting the whole picture. In honest truth I probably would have been a runner too. It was just hard to get to that point because I had no idea what was going on. After finishing the book I’m glad I stuck around and finished it! Chuck I loved from page 1, Olivia I didn’t even like till the end. In all the story was cute and all of my questions have been answered. It was definitely worth the read and I’m glad to have read it. I’m also glad everyone in the story got the happy ever after!

Olivia and Chuck have a lot of issues, some hot chemistry but they definitely lack in the talking with your mouth instead of with your body issues! Take that HOT chemistry and hate and then forbid them to touch and then lock them up for a month for a million dollars so a broke Olivia can pay for her grandma’s nursing home bill and a broke black listed Chuck can pay his rent. What do ya get? A huge explosion that leads to walls being knocked down and Olivia actually using her mouth to speak the truth instead of hiding away where she can’t be hurt.

A good read, hard to get into but worth it in the end.

Thank you NetGalley and holly James for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. This was cute and I wanted to love it but it just wasn’t hooking me. The plot of the book while a cute idea and seemed interesting with them having to stick it out for a month just abruptly ended and then we shift gears halfway in a completely different direction. Also wish olivia and chucks relationship was more than just physical. I liked chucks attributes and golden retriever vibes as well as his relationship with his family. Also felt weird that Olivia’s life was a lie but could have been cleared up decades before if she just asked her grandma. It was cute I just wish it stayed in the direction of the show.

Thank you NetGalley and PENGUIN GROUP Dutton for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.

You know how sometimes there are car crashes that are so bad and you know you should look away but you can help but stare? That's kinda how Liv and Chuck's relationship felt at the beginning of this book. Things were so bad for them at first that I wasn't sure I wanted them to end up together. However, as I got to know them better and they had more of a chance to talk things out, I became their biggest fan and wanted them to get back together. There were some unexpected twists and turns in this book that kept it interesting and overall made it a fun read. This is a book I would definitely read again. I am happy it led me to discovering Holly James and look forward to reading more of her books.

If you like second chance romances and witty banter, this book is for you! Overall the story was cute but I didn't care much for Olivia's treatment of Chuck and I felt there wasn't much depth to the story - it was all either fighting or making up in the bedroom.

I loved this book! It was a fresh and new take on romance, that kept me guessing what would happen next. The characters were really like-able, but still had normal human flaws that you don’t always see in novels. Great story, great characters, and overall great book!

Oh such a lovey read! I had so much fun with it! Couldn't be more happier because I love second chance romances and this book totally did justice to one of my favorite tropes! Highly recommend for a summer and light hearted read for sure!

So, Olivia and Chuck are a combustible couple with explosive chemistry and witty banter.

The pkot revolves around Olivia, an aspiring writer buried in debts, accepts an offer to star in a TV show with her ex, Chuck, to pay for her grandmother's care. Chuck, aiming to fix his tarnished reputation in Hollywood, also agrees to the offer. The two must navigate living together for a month without giving in to their intense attraction!

The book is highly entertaining and unputdownable, receiving five high-chemistry stars. It is recommended to go in blind and read it for a breath of fresh air after thrillers with too many twists.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for sending an arc my way!

This is my first Holly James novel, and let me tell y'all, it did not disappoint!

I was drawn to the story because the synopsis was so intriguing and the plot of the story sounded incredibly unique and original (at least to me). It answers the question, what would you do for a million dollars? Spend an entire month locked up with your ex-boyfriend?

Olivia was an interesting FMC. She was clearly incredibly guarded, yet her interactions with her friends made her likable and somewhat endearing.

As for Chuck? He's probably one of the most interesting MMCs that I've read this year. He was a bit of a mess, but there was something about him that just drew you in. Despite being in the limelight, he was incredibly relatable.

Thanks to their very public and heated breakup, these two exes found themselves challenged to spend a month with each other, locked in the confines of a house. The prize? One million dollars. The twist? No touching.

This proved to be challenging to the two incredibly passionate exes. However, their close proximity helped them to see each other in a different light.

Now, I thoroughly enjoyed the ending of this story. However, I just couldn't get over how unfair Olivia was towards Chuck on several occasions, the least of these being locking him out of the house just because... Then there was that awful thing that she did at the end simply because of a "misunderstanding". But, overall, she never gave him the benefit of the doubt. She was constantly jumping to the wrong conclusions about him, and despite how she tried to redeem herself in the end, it just didn't sit right with me.
