I loved this story about a second chance romance, forced proximity couple with electric chemistry and a lot of love for one another learning to skills to be in a healthy relationship with each other. The connections to reality TV shows was a blast as well. Overall a very fun read that I didn’t want to put down!

This one was good but no where near my favorite Holly James rom com. I think this may have been my least favorite, I just felt a bit disconnected from the characters in this one.

So cute and spicy a story about a broken up couple starring in a reality show. They are fire and flame, passion and chemistry together. But fire and flame led to their parting. The show requires them to stay together in a house without touching for one month. They are in very close quarters where chemistry threatens their chance for winning a million dollars each. Can they do it?
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was absolutely darling. I loved the premise of being locked in a house with your ex on reality TV in exchange for a million dollars. It's just bizarre enough to be a show that I would 100% watch and 100% loved reading about. I'm going to be honest, I struggled with Chuck at first but as the story developed so did he and I came to like him. I really liked Olivia and the fact that her friend would text her pictures of dogs to distract her from Chuck was beyond delightful.

Absolutely LOVED this book! Holly James did not disappoint at all. The steam in this book was next level but also the characters were Truly in love and you could see them begin to trust each other again throughout the book. I loved seeing them grow as individuals but also together!

Not my favorite from Holly James but still okay.

I had a harder time getting into the plot with this one, but I also knew that going into it. Her first book blew me out of the water with the unique plot, charming characters and magical realism twist... And I've been chasing rhet magical feeling from her writing since.

The characters were hard to like at first for obvious reasons but I really tried. Unfortunately I just finished because I had the arc and I needed to finish it.

this was a lot of fun -- a book i didn't request but was sent and i had a lot of fun with it! it was pretty well paced and i haven't read a lot of books that take place in a gameshow/reality tv setting so this was a nice change of pace for me :)

Olivia Martin and Chuck Walsh have chemistry. Too much chemistry, perhaps. Their every interaction as a couple either lights the house up with sexual tension or burns it down with anger. After one huge, very public fight, they finally break up for good. Or so they think. Someone was filming their dramatic argument in the street and—because Olivia’s parents were Hollywood royalty, and because Chuck’s an actor whose star is on the rise—the video goes viral. When Name Your Price, a reality game show, sees the footage, they invite Olivia and Chuck to shoot a very unusual challenge: Live locked in a house together for one month and they will be paid a million dollars. Each.

Olivia really needs the money if she's going to keep her beloved grandmother in her nursing home, and Chuck is desperate for any chance to win Olivia back. So the game is on—even as the show tries to pluck every nerve with only one bed, one bathroom, and a set of rules that will lose them money if broken—including no touching. With stakes that have never been higher and their explosive chemistry at a fever pitch, can Chuck and Olivia keep it together (and their hands off each other) for one month? Find out next week on Name Your Price!

I thought this was cute. I liked the premise of the game show and thought Olivia and Chuck had pretty good physical chemistry.

I really loved Olivia, I liked relationship with her grandmother and I thought her parent’s background was pretty interesting and how it all played out in the end. I did have a really hard time liking Chuck. He did get better by the end and you kind of get a glimpse at why he is the way he is but at the beginning he was being a very stereotypical C-List actor by blowing her off for his career which I wasn’t really a fan of.

Thank you to Dutton Books and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I loved Holly James's 2023 release The Deja Glitch, so I was thrilled to get an early copy of Name Your Price and I was not disappointed!

Olivia and Chuck have a LOT of chemistry. They're either lighting up the night sky with sexual tension or burning down the building with anger. After a very public breakup, they learn that their fight was filmed and it is now going viral. Because of Olivia's family background and Chuck's status as an actor, they get approached by a TV game show, Name Your Price, where they're offered money, lots and lots of money, to be on the show. The catch? They must live in the same house for a month without leaving and without touching each other. Both are desperate for the money, but are they desperate enough to follow the rules? Only time will tell.

Holly James has so far impressed me by taking what could be a cliche rom-com and putting a unique spin on it. The tension between Olivia and Chuck was fantastic and while there wasn't much spice in this one, the plot was fast moving and really entertaining. Some of the side characters were great additions (Olivia's grandma, Ruby, I'm looking at you) while others seemed to play an important role and then fizzle out.

Overall, I thought this one took some classic romance tropes (enemies to lovers, second chance romance, one bed) and added a unique spin.

I'll gladly read any Holly James book and am already looking forward to her next one!

Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for the digital copy. My review is honest and voluntary.

I adored The Deja Glitch and was so excited to receive an ARC of Name Your Price!

Olivia and Chuck had a screaming in the streets breakup that went totally viral, leading to the pair being offered a spot on a reality show. The catch? They need to avoid their steaming hot chemistry and not touch each other for thirty days while living in a house together. If they leave, they forfeit a million dollars each.

What a fun concept! I love a book centered on a reality show, and this one has the fun behind the scenes shenanigans you’d expect from these shows. Chuck and Olivia compete in tasks, gaining prizes or losing money based on what happens in the house. Loved the setting and the plot!

The story does go a bit deeper, with family responsibilities and emotional turmoil making an appearance throughout the story. It is a nice balance to the crazy hot chemistry and steamy moments the pair share,

Thank you to NetGalley and Dutton books for the gifted arc, all opinions are my own,

I'll admit - I read the blurb and this book sounded so cheesy. Which, of course I eat that $h!t up so naturally I wanted to read it ... and I'm glad I did! It did have its cliche moments but overall this was a very unique and FUN book to read. I loved the premise even though I'm not one for reality tv/semi-scripted shows. If you are - or you are not - this is a great summer/beach read. Perfect for a vacay!

Holly James is a dependable author for delivering great, well thought out storylines. I enjoyed the journey and didn’t want to put the book down!

Thank you, Dutton and NetGalley, for the advanced copy of Name Your Price.

This book got me out of a reading slump. I've been my mom's primary caretaker after total knee replacement, and this novel was my getaway from reality that I so desperately needed at night. The spice is light, but the tension was strong! I'd find myself giggling out loud and cheering on our main characters to find their way back to each other. The relationship between the main characters was nothing compared to the relationships with their families. It was sweet and loving and funny and everything you could need for a cozy beach read!!

Olivia and Chuck are done. Just ask anyone who saw that viral video of their very big, very public argument in the middle of the street. As Olivia likes to point out she wouldn't take him back for a million dollars... Or would she? Enter the reality show that they both need. Olivia needs the money to help with her grandmother's care, and Chuck was just fired from his most recent movie. The gist of the show, Name Your Price, is fo them to be locked in a house together for one month, and they'll earn a million dollars each. Oh, and they'll be docked if they touch each other. Can they keep their emotions in check (for better or worse) and win the money? Or will everything all apart?

After Chuck and Olivia's messy break up goes viral, a reality tv show Named Your Price offers them $1 million to live together for a month without leaving the house. With consequences if they break the rules
A cute second chance romance that was fun quick read. I really enjoyed both Olivia and Chucks characters and the chemistry between them both. Definitely worth the read if you like forced proximity, second chance romances.

I could not get through this. I tried multiple times but just couldn't do it. I didn't connect with the characters.

Despite the lack of communication and understanding between them, Olivia and Chuck have an insane amount of chemistry in this book. After a very public breakup, they pair are presented with a proposal they can't refuse.

I really loved the tension between Olivia and Chuck and the backstory of Olivia's parents and their Hollywood scandal. The challenge presented to Olivia and Chuck really led to some interesting character development throughout the book. I really enjoyed the story!

Thank you so much to Dutton for the ARC!

I really loved her previous release, The Déjà Glitch and was super pumped for this one!

While I will say that the concept was very fun and original, I didn't ever really believe the two main characters were capable of falling in love. That sounds harsh, but I just didn't see it happening as neither of them were interesting or charming on an individual level even. The whole book felt like a multi-layered miscommunication trope over and over again. Maybe I'm just annoyed because so many things could have been solved by just telling the truth, and so I don't think their relationship would last in real life, but I also could be overthinking it.

I wanted to be swooned and swept off my feet but sadly was disappointed in this one.

I did see James is writing a thriller/rom-com next and I'm super excited to try that out in 2025!

Talk about two unlikeable characters! Those opening scenes were something! They really set this story up for real life struggles and tons of believable character growth. I loved the premise of a reality tv show. I adored how Olivia and Chuck were forced to confront themselves and each other. The misunderstandings were written so well, and the supporting cast of family and friends were perfect. I love all of Holly James’ books - all the best on the release of this one. Every single star!
Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC to read and review. All opinions are my own.

When a second chance romance is done right it just hits and this book definitely HIT! The chemistry between Olivia and Chuck is off the charts and they know it. I love the reality show vibes of this book, but I also loved that they weren’t happening throughout the entire book. I think this book is a testament to how good communication in a relationship no matter how good things are physically really does matter….I mean that helps of course, but I loved the journey of these two. Throw in some great banter, funny challenges and forced proximity and you have this fabulous read!

I had the most fun reading this book! It is full of funny & awkward situations. The banter, flirt & spice between Olivia & Chuck is addicting. The passion, attraction & intense arguments makes them so entertaining. Their back and forth push & pull due to their differences is woven into the book from beginning to end. So, once I started reading I really wanted to finish it - I just enjoyed everything about Olivia & Chuck.

We are all too familiar with videos posted on social media platforms (possibly about us, not by us), Reality TV and love for celebrity gossip. James takes these modern day realities and brings them together here while she maintains a light-heartedness in the book. The reader can easily relate to all this and easily connect with the book.

I enjoyed seeing Chuck open up to Olivia, recognizing her insecurities and his protective nature around her. Olivia begins to see Chuck differently as he exposes more vulnerabilities to her. I smiled over Olivia’s obsession with glasses. It is very easy to understand. As always, the best part is the happily ever after that Olivia & Chuck find in the end.

This is a must read!!
