Second book in the series, while it can be enjoyed as a standalone I think it's a mroe fufilling read with book 1 first

I had been hyped for Lizzie's story for a while and I love how Katee is integrating her worlds together in various books, wit the bloodline vampires. Lizzie and Maeve had great chemistry. Two strong willed women, neither looking for love, yet falling into it both on a mission.

Lizzie's blood lust only tempered by maeve who was definitely turned on by the whole Lizzie will murder the world for her. I adored how Maeve's body was integrated into her character as a selkie, and just her complete confidence in her body, Katee Robret writes incredible plus size rep and this was no different. A mix of adventure, steam, and just trusting in love. I cannot wait to see where she takes this series next.
