In this charming narrative, Anna and Liam find themselves entangled in a fake relationship, driven by the tantalizing prospect of a hefty inheritance. The authors masterfully navigate the dynamics between the reserved heir and the free-spirited artist, infusing their story with humor, warmth, and palpable chemistry. As Anna and Liam navigate the intricacies of their fabricated romance, readers are treated to a heartwarming exploration of authenticity, family, and the enduring power of love. With its engaging plot and endearing characters, this book is sure to captivate romance enthusiasts and leave them eagerly turning the pages until the very end.
What a fun book! The _Un-Honeymooners_ is one of my favorite Christina Lauren novels, and this one reminds me of it a lot. Great character development and a fun plot set in a tropical destination. I appreciated the alternating perspectives, too. Would 100% recommend!
Anna Green thought she was marrying Liam “West” Weston for access to subsidized family housing while at UCLA. She also thought she’d signed divorce papers when the graduation caps were tossed, and they both went on their merry ways. But 3 years later, Anna is a starving artist living paycheck to paycheck while West is a Stanford professor. He may be one of four heirs to the Weston Foods conglomerate, but he has little interest in working for the heartless corporation his family built from the ground up. He is interested, however, in his one-hundred-million-dollar inheritance. There’s just one catch.
Due to an antiquated clause in his grandfather’s will, Liam won’t see a penny until he’s been happily married for five years. Just when Liam thinks he’s in the home stretch, pressure mounts from his family to see this mysterious spouse, and he has no choice but to turn to the one person he’s afraid to introduce to his one-percenter parents—his unpolished, not-so-ex-wife.
I love Christina Lauren's books and this was no different. It was a great story and while a bit predictable, I found that the storyline, humor and supporting characters held my attention just as much. I blew through the book in a day, which doesn't happen for me that often! I loved the setting on the tropical island, and the descriptions of the world of the immensely wealthy. But one of the things I loved most was Anna's strong personality, her guts and her heart. Hearing not only Anna's thoughts, but West's as well, really made the story shine. Totally recommend!

Obsessed!! Probably my fave Christina Lauren in the past few years. I love love love the setting, and the "Succession" vibes are spot-on. Feels like a fun departure but still stays true to what CLo fans are looking for.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! This is another great Christina Lauren read! It’s super easy to read and very entertaining. I love both Liam & Anna and their relationship is adorable.
A spicy novel of two totally different types of people agreeing on an arrangement with terms to benefit the both of them. I enjoyed the storyline but felt the attention to detail was saved mostly for the sexual encounters. I give it 3.5 stars for the plot. I'm not a huge fan of spicy nor excessive use of the f word. But I will recommend to anyone who does!
Thank you to the publishers for an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I usually always enjoy any Christina Lauren book, and this was no exception. I do think it started a little slow for me, but I quickly got interested in the characters and all of the family drama surrounding them. Liam and Anna were cute together and I enjoyed most of their story. Loved the island vibe too! This one is a cute, and sometimes very steamy romance that feels lighthearted and then very serious at times as well.
Thank you to Gallery Books and Netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Classic Christina Lauren book! Loved the main characters so much especially the MFC! This is a perfect beach read and had me dreaming of the island life. Definitely a must read if you love Christina Lauren.
I loved this book! It was such an easy read. It had such a feel good vibe to it, while also dealing with a lot of tough, hard to tip toe around family relationships.
Stunning. Iconic. A must read. Team men being completely stupidly in love when they find their life partner and not being afraid to show it!!!
Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for an egalley of The Paradise Problem.
Two people. A fake marriage. A lie that has grown to epic proportions. A problem that two people who don't really know each other have to solve.
After marrying for convenience (aka cheaper student housing), Anna and West amicably part ways. Fast forward two year and it turns out that the divorce Anna thought was final hasn't quite kicked in yet. Cause West is on her doorstep saying his family still thinks they are married and her presence is requested for his sister's wedding. A comedy of errors ensues as they navigate through a tricky situation. But it's really have to have problems when you're in paradise for 2 weeks.

But in the presence of his family, Liam’s fears quickly shift from whether the feisty, foul-mouthed, paint-splattered Anna can play the part to whether the toxic world of wealth will corrupt someone as pure of heart as his surprisingly grounded and loyal wife. Liam will have to ask himself if the price tag on his flimsy cover story is worth losing true love that sprouted from a lie.
This is like Pretty Woman except instead of a prostitute she's a quirky artist with a marriage of convenience thrown in. I have to admit at first I didn't love Anna as a main character. She seemed immature considering the amount of pressure she had on her. Thankfully she grew on me as we got on the island and she started sticking up for Liam. Her quirkiness became cuter and appreciated when the family around her became too stiff. Liam was a great hero. He seemed well-adjusted and I loved the mention of therapy to help him cope with the trauma of his family structure. Besides the palpable chemistry and the dreamy setting, I loved the family drama. You know at some point, it's going to crumble and they're going to be found out, but the how and when was just so good. And seeing how the siblings come together in the aftermath was so genuine. I found the third act break up believable and reasonable but was so happy to see how this book ended. Overall this was another classic CLo HIT!
Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review. This book releases 5/14
Anna and Liam were such opposites and I loved it. This was the perfect fake marriage story. Well, is it fake marriage if they are technically married legally? Add in the tons of family drama and I waas booked. I loved the banter between the characters. The relationship was cute and SPICY. This one had so many hilarious and laugh out loud moments.
In my opinion this is the marriage of convenience/fake dating trope done right! It was a unique take on a theme that’s been done a million times that took me pleasantly by surprise!
The slow burn was paced perfectly. I started out not being a big fan of our MFC Anna but by the middle she had me giggling and Liam had me swooning. The island setting was perfect and put me in the mood for summer. This also touched on the giant wage disparity in the US and i loved seeing the dynamic between Anna who struggles financially, and Liam who is the heir to a family fortune.
I am honestly shocked that I wouldn’t change anything about this book and loved it as much as I did. 5 stars!
Anna and Liam get married to secure cheap family housing while they are going to college. They barely know each other so when Liam shows up at Anna's door a couple years later she is surprised to find that they are actually still married. Liam, a rich heir to a grocery store chain, needs Anna to come to his sister's wedding as his wife in order to prove they are married to get his inheritence. Anna, a struggling artist, agrees so she earn money to help pay her dad's medical bills. She just has to convince his family that they are in love and that she is someone she is not. The book was a fun, quick read.
Liam and Anna's road to love began five years ago when they entered into a mutually beneficial arrangement; a marriage in name only that Anna believed had ended. Everything changed when Liam showed up at her doorstep declaring that they were still legally married and with another proposal.
Liam must bring his elusive “wife” to meet the family at his sister’s upcoming destination wedding. Anna, recently unemployed, desperately needs money to pay for her father’s medical treatments. They agree to embark on a ten-day journey of deceit.
Liam and Anna were complete opposites, had great chemistry from the very start, shared endless banter, and the most ridiculous family interactions. Their love story was over the top but so very fun and I loved it.
Another fun, fast read from Christina Lauren. Even though their books are frothy they are well written and consistent. I already preordered multiple copies because my patrons love a summer read!
This was a perfect beach read, I couldn't put it down! Anna and Liam visit a private island for his sister's lavish wedding and do they're best to convince his family they've been happily married for the last 5 years. But they have not- they're legally married but have spent almost no time togther and hardly know each other.
Anna & Liam become better acquainted in this beautiful island setting while dealing with Liam's extremely toxic family dynamics. They find themselves falling for each other as they grow closer. I loved their vulnerability with each other as they lied to everyone around them.
Anna's life is on track to be the literal definition of the starving artist. While she tries to pursue her passion for painting, she has to figure out a way to keep paying her father's medical bills in spite of just having been fired from her convenience store job. But being strapped for cash isn't something new and she previously found a way- like when she married her friend's brother so they could cheaply live in married housing during college. And it just so happens that her time on need lines up with the return of her estranged husband who also needs some serious help. Liam Weston is an heir to a massive inheritance, but he needs to be married for 5 years to get the pay out and attending his sister's wedding on a private island threatens to ruin his whole charade. And he is willing to pay Anna some serious money if she will stay his wife a little longer in a high risk act with his family.
This story is a quick and easy read that takes the classic rom com story of fake dating to a whole new level with being some-what fake married on a private island paradise surrounded by weeklong wedding festivities. The characters can be frustrating, but are lovable, and the story is entertaining. I recommend this ones for fans of Christina Lauren and readers looking for a fun romantic comedy. Thank you NetGalley, Christian Lauren, and Gallery Books for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who has read this author before. I have a feeling this one is going to be in the top charts and libraries will want to order a lot of additional books for lending.
