This was so so so good! I've never been a huge fan of billionaire romances but this is NOT what the book is. West and Anna were fabulous together and watching their love develop was perfection.
LOVED this book! I am not usually one to love Rom Coms because they are easy to predict and cheesy. However, this one was different. I loved the characters and the bit of mystery. I was happy to have the extended epilogue, even though I still didn't want it to end. I will definitely be recommending this book to friends! Thank you #netgalley and #gallerybooks for the early access to read and review! It’s a good one!
This book was incredible from start to finish! Pulled me right in and I couldn’t put it down! I loved the story line and the characters. Another killer book by Christina!
This book was fun for me in spite of some of the awful family. I didn't have quite as much fun as with other Christina Lauren books, but I enjoyed the main characters. It does need some editing for repetition, but this was an ARC, so I can't judge too much in that way.
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book! Rom Coms can be hit or miss for me because they can be cheesy and contrived, but this one was SO good. It made me laugh out loud at many parts, root for Liam and Anna throughout, and warmed my heart. I loved the extended epilogue because i wanted to keep reading and reading about the Green-Weston story. Anna's pink hair was a little silly to me, but overall I enjoyed the characters very much. I would love a sequeal/spin off story with Jake's story continued- he seemed like a fun character! Thank you #netgalley and #gallerybooks for the ARC of this book to read and review.
Christina Lauren does it again! Having read and enjoyed almost 10 of their books, I can safely say they have quickly become an auto buy author for me. When I saw The Paradise Problem, and read the synopsis, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and I devoured it; reading cover to cover in a matter of hours. I wasn't sure if I liked Anna in the early chapters but she quickly became one of my favorite characters. The story had me laughing out loud and cheering for Anna and Liam. If you're in a reading slump, looking for book to get lost in and/or are a fan of Christina Lauren, you need to add The Paradise Problem to your TBR.

A great read by Christina Lauren. A bit predictable but a few twists and turns along the way were great. Main characters were great and well developed. I would recommend to friends.
Anna and West are involved in a “fake” marriage in order for West to receive his massive inheritance from his family.
CLo books always have so many fun elements that make for an easy and bingeable read. The Pardise Problem was fun and funny, with tropes such as grumpy/sunshine, fake marriage/dating, and billionaire MC. I loved how quirky and out of her element Anna was, but yet she captivated the hearts of West’s hard edged family. West and Anna were both well developed characters who had to overcome many obstacles throughout the story. While there was some miscommunication, it was always quickly resolved and addressed. I loved the fake relationship and how Anna and West grew to know and love each other. As always, the epilogue tied everything up for me and I was reading with a smile on my face.
I read a lot of intense thriller / horror books and sometimes you need a lighthearted, romantic book to beat back the demons. This was the perfect book to do that.
At first I hated the main character Anna. She seemed a hot mess, but man her quirky comebacks and hilarious quips were perfect.
This is your traditional "fake relationship turns to love". story but with some added real life family trauma / overpowering patriarchal figures. It was really well written and made me go through all the emotions while reading it.

This latest Christina Lauren novel follows the fake dating trope. The characters are well rounded and the novel is mostly set on a glitzy private island, so the scenery is terrific. For all that, it didn’t stand out to me.
Rating: somewhere closer to 4.5 Stars than 4 Stars, but wanted to be honest here.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was a quick read with a delightful mix of likable and intolerable characters—I must admit, I have a soft spot for the drama of a dysfunctional family, which felt refreshingly different from my own. The storyline offered just the right amount of minor drama and romance, making it a perfect choice for a summer beach read, complete with tropical vibes and sizzling heat.
While some aspects of the plot felt a bit unlikely, I found myself easily swept away by the story. However, I couldn't help but wonder why certain details, like the entire reason behind a five-year marriage, were left unexplained to Anna (but I guess it ads to the plot). I just had to remind myself not to question this. Despite this issue, I found the book to be a great and thoroughly enjoyable read!
Thank you NetGalley for the advanced reader copy.
Fake dating plots are my favorite and this one will not disappoint.
In typical Christna Lauren style, you will fall in love with the characters, laugh as you're reading, and turn page after page quickly through.
I adored it!
I did not want to put this book down! Anna is a struggling artist. West is the estranged son of a billionaire. The two get married to get into cheap married housing on campus. Anna thinks that's the end of it. But then West show up nearly 3 years later and informs her that they are still married and need to act the part at his sister's paradise wedding so he can get his inheritance. I really enjoy this writing team and have loved everything I have read by them. I've already recommended this book to so many people!
Christina Lauren brings it every time! The Paradise Problem is more than just a romance, the social and ethical situations bring an extra level to the story. Well written, I recommend it!
Quick intro:
West and Anna get married on paper only in college to secure affordable housing. Five years later, they’re not in touch at all but still technically married and now West needs Anna to play the role of loving wife on a 10 day family vacation to a private island. If their marriage is discovered to be fake he looses his half a billion dollars inheritance.
Quick thoughts:
I think there are a lot of people who will love this book and it will be the perfect beach read for the summer. And honestly, it has a lot of tropes I like - forced proximity and one bed being two of the big ones. However, I finished the book feeling just sort of meh about it.
My two biggest hang ups are that 1. the reason for the fake marriage is SOOOOO out there it’s ridiculous. You have to do some serious suspending of reality to move past it. It took me a while to even get into the story because of it. And 2. I struggle with romances where a whole slew of characters are unlikeable. And my gosh, West’s entire family SUCKS. They’re a bunch of horrible rich people who I wanted to punch in the face. blech!
Read if you like forced proximity, one bed, fake marriages, family drama, private island setting, billionaire romances, and quirky FMCs.

Christina Lauren do it again! This book made me feel so fuzzy and warm inside, I just love Anna and West. I was laughing through this whole book, I love Anna's personality so much, it was really good in contrast to West. I do think that Anna was a little too much at some times, I almost got some second hand embarrassment when she would make comments to his parents about them having sex. I thought that was a little weird, but that also might just be me. All in all, this was a very good book.
I am a big fan of Christina Lauren's work, and I knew I'd love The Paradise Problem.
THE PLOT: Anna and West couldn't be more different. Anna is a struggling artist while West was born to a wealthy family—only Anna, his legal wife, has no idea that his family comes from money. The two only married for cheaper university housing. Now, West needs Anna to attend his sister's wedding on a private island, and thus Anna is introduced to the insane Weston family.
The Paradise Problem is similar to The Spanish Love Deception and Crazy Rich Asians—wrapped up into one romantic, drama-filled novel. I love how Christina Lauren brought all the characters to life, each being more lively than the next. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!
I loved this book so much. I’ve been working my way through reading all the Christina Lauren books available, and was so excited to be offered an ARC of The Paradise Problem! I devoured it in less than a day.
Christina Lauren is the absolute master of modern romance.
Anna and Liam impulsively got married in college - as virtual strangers - for access to cheap family housing… Now, almost 5 years later Liam needs to convince Anna to help to keep up the ruse for just 10 more days, in paradise, or else life as he knows it is likely to completely fall apart.
This book is perfect. Anna is laugh out loud hilarious, Liam is steamy intense, their island vacation setting is pure opulence, and the spice is - whew - super spicy! Clear your schedule, and get your hands on this book immediately. You will not regret it.
As always, I will read whatever Christina Lauren writes and while I can absolutely admit not all their books are winners for me, this one was a delight. I was in from the summary, as it already hit my favorite trope, fake married/dating/engaged, then threw in a just one bed for funsies. Let's be real though, the premise is absolutely ridiculous and improbable, but that's what makes it so fun and readable. I'll definitely add this to my list of comfort rereads!

Thoughts:
*Paradise Problem* is a breath of fresh air, delivering an exhilarating and fun-filled ride. The writing is exceptional, lending credibility to the billionaire trope—an uncommon feat in the genre.
With plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, Anna emerges as a lovably chaotic character, while Liam's determination to carve his own path adds depth to his persona. Their chemistry crackles off the pages, driving the narrative forward with sizzling intensity. Supported by a cast of vibrant side characters, Anna and Liam's growth throughout the story is captivating, particularly Liam's family dynamics and Alex's surprising character arc.
Though a familiar trope surfaces toward the end, the satisfying conclusion ties up loose ends on a sweet note, making for a thoroughly enjoyable rom-com experience.
In conclusion, *Paradise Problem* is a must-read, offering a perfect blend of humor, heart, and romance.
