Classic Christina Lauren. This is definitely not for my classroom, but it is one I'd recommend to colleagues who need a beach read to unwind over the summer, or just the weekend. The tropical location was fun, the romance was sweet, and the heroine was uniquely endearing. Loved it!

Fun and flirty rom com that caught my attention from the very beginning. I absolutely adore Anna’s character and her witty humor. Light & fluffy read

A wonderful grumpy/sunshine/forced proximity/one bed/fake relationship trope fest of delight! I loved Anna. At first she came across like some quirky pick me girl but she developed into a truly loving and empathetic character. West was just pragmatic to a fault and robotic but turned out to also be a softie. I enjoyed how, as the audience, we got to see the layers of these characters peel back in real time. The dual narratives were well done (though that epilogue chapter has a lot of back and forth and felt rushed). I loved it.

I've enjoyed books by Christina Lauren before, and this one didn't disappoint. I found the main characters intriguing, flawed, but extremely interesting. It didn't remind me of another Christina Lauren book either, so I appreciate it being original.

Anything Christina Lauren writes, I will read it! This book was so much fun and very entertaining. The story is told from a dual POV. Anna and Liam met in college, and after many years of not speaking or seeing each other, an unusual circumstance reunites the two. I absolutely loved the lush, tropical island setting. The banter, angst, and tension is UNMATCHED! I found myself laughing out loud so many times, and holy smokes were they some steammmmy scenes. 🥵 The authors are such vivid and detailed writers and they have such a way with words that you can’t help but feel all the emotions. I absolutely loved this one and I know I’ll be thinking about it for awhile. This is the perfect book to add to your summer TBR list.

5 Stars!!!! Combine two (well technically three) of my favorite things: Christina Lauren and one of my favorite tropes, marriage of convenience, and really what could go wrong? Absolutely nothing. “The Paradise Problem” is perfection.

Anna is an authentic, silly (hilarious), honest artist who brings out the best in grumpy but hot heir-to-a-fortune Liam. In order to secure his inheritance and get away from his complicated and anxiety-inducing family, Liam and Anna fake a marriage while attending the wedding of Liam’s younger sister on a private island. What could go wrong? Glitzy parties, lots of champagne, and no doors to bathrooms creates the perfect canvas for a chaos filled wedding week.

Like with all Christina Lauren books, there is so much heart and depth underneath the sizzling chemistry and witty banter. The real reason Liam wants his inheritance and the familial burden he feels will tug at your heartstrings. I couldn’t stop smiling whenever Anna and Liam were on the page together. So I was basically giddy this entire book. I read this in one sitting and couldn’t get enough of it. Liam might just be my new favorite Christina Lauren MMC!

If you’ve loved any of Christina Lauren’s previous books you’ll devour this one too.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

The Paradise Problem was not as great as their other work, but still a solid read. I’m definitely including it on my list of books for my friends to read.

3.5 stars:
Christina Lauren never fails to put a smile on my face, and this book is no different. Both leads are so interesting and full of personality, and they shine in this book against a crazy setting and large cast of side characters. Definitely a stand-out from the author duo!

Christina Lauren is back! The razor sharp wit and charm, the hilarious dialogue and swoon worthy characters. I truly could not get enough of this. A pleasant surprise as I wasn't a huge fan of the last few titles - The Paradise Problem feels like a return to classic CL.

I loved this Christina Lauren book! The spice and chemistry between Anna and Liam was wonderful, even though it is a slow burn. There was great humor and culture references that I appreciate as well. I found it to be a light and fun read.

Is there anything better than beach reading? I think not.

The Paradise Problem is my new favorite beach read! This is the story of a delicious new romance between the buttoned-up heir of a grocery chain and his free-spirited artist ex as they fake their relationship in order to receive a massive inheritance.

Y’all @christinalauren has done it again! This book is everything you need this summer…beach vibes, marriage of convenience, grumpy sunshine, ONE BED and a whole lotta spice 🔥🥵🔥🥵

I love how their writing just transports you to a secluded Indonesian island. Seriously so tropical. The tension between West and Anna is off the charts hot. They sure can do a slow burn well! Honestly I just loved everything about this book and I hope you’ll pick it up when it drops May 14th!

Thank you @christinalauren and @gallerybooks for the E-ARC!

Get your beach/pool bag ready, and do not forget to bring this book with you! It’s the perfect vacation read.

I LOVED Anna. She’s so…real. I think that’s the best word to describe her.

Anna married Liam in college purely for convenience - aka free housing. After college, she’s free from Liam.

Years later, Liam asks Anna to go with him to a private island for his sister’s wedding, as his perfect wife. That’s how Anna finds out her “husband” is from a mega rich family.

All she needs to do is pretend to be a millionaire’s wife, go to spas, and pretend she knows all about designer clothes. Oh, and she also needs to pretend she’s a doctor.
Oh, and they also have to convince they’re absolutely in love, otherwise, Liam won't get his gigantic inheritance.

How hard could it be?

Major White Lotus vibes, with the typical “sharing a bed” trope. It’s AMAZING!

I received an advanced copy of "A Paradise Problem" by Christina Lauren and overall, I found it to be an enjoyable read. The writing was engaging and the story was entertaining, but there were a few things that held me back from giving it a higher rating.

First, I found the pacing to be a bit uneven at times. The story seemed to drag in certain parts, while in others it felt rushed. This made it difficult for me to fully immerse myself in the story.

Additionally, I found some of the characters to be a bit one-dimensional. While the main characters were well-developed, I felt like some of the secondary characters lacked depth and seemed to be there more for plot convenience than anything else.

Despite these issues, I still found "A Paradise Problem" to be a fun and light-hearted read. Fans of Christina Lauren's previous works will likely enjoy this book, but it may not be their best work. Overall, I would recommend giving it a read if you enjoy romantic comedies with a tropical setting.

Rom-com heroines tend to be a spunky, sassy bunch, but even among her compatriots Anna Green stands out. She's self-aware, determined to be true to herself, and totally unimpressed with the opulence with which she finds herself surrounded. Not only is she one of the few willing to speak truth to power, but she's determined to save her partner from his family. This being a romance novel, it spoils nothing to say that she succeeds quite nicely. Going along for the journey is a real treat.

Love love love!!!
The Paradise Problem was completely charming & funny. I could barely put it down! The tropes within the book gave “Crazy Rich Asians” vibes with a marriage of convenience sprinkled on top and it worked so well!!

Thank you to Netgalley for the e-arc of this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed this offering by Christina Lauren. Great spring/summer read of a marriage of convenience that turns into more on a secluded island. Christina Lauren tells a story like no other and even though the main hero is rich is all get out; the writing shows how different he is than his very uppity family. The heroine is a down-on-her-luck artist who agrees to this scheme for the money; but quickly falls for the charming hero and family drama ensues from there.

Delicious romance is right! “West” and Anna got married to live in family housing during college. What Anna thought were divorce papers was an agreement to be fake married for 5 years so “West” could get his inheritance. When Liam shows up at her door, Anna learns “west’s” real name and agrees to be his fake wife on a private island.

There is excellent family drama. Talk of the benefits of therapy. Self growth. Hot sex. This book is a must read.
