Christina Lauren does it again! I love reading all her books as she bring a good dynamic between the main characters without it seeming overdone or unrealistic.
In The Paradise Problem, Liam and Anna are in a marriage of convenience which along the way turns into a whirlwind romance intertwined with hard family dynamics to navigate. This was a perfect read that brought the reader some spicy, humor, and an escape into a world of unexpected connections.

4.25 ⭐️ Another solid book by Christina Lauren. If you like their others, you’ll likely enjoy this one too. They write funny, quirky, imperfect female characters that you can’t help but root for. Bonus points for wealthy people behaving badly. It was fun to have almost a Succession type feel to a lot of the characters in this book. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book was one of the best I've read! I don't know if it was more fun to read about the beautiful island with all the accoutrements that money can buy or to follow along with Anna as she navigates a new relationship with her old (not quite ex) husband, first as a job that will pay her to take of her ailing father but then maybe it's starting to feel real? There were parts of the book that were laugh out loud funny and some of the things Anna would say or how she was described were so funny that I found myself reading them out loud to my husband from time to time (the description of how she felt after her massage being compared to boba tea through a straw was probably the my hysterically funny line I've ever read in a book! This book was so fun to read, and was quick because I kept wanting to go back to it. The Paradise Problem is sure to become one of your new favorites!

This Paradise Problem seamlessly blends humor, heart, and a touch of magic, making it a perfect escape from reality. The dynamic between the main characters is well-developed, and the chemistry is palpable. The banter is witty, and the dialogue flows effortlessly, keeping the reader engaged from start to finish. While it follows some classic romantic comedy tropes, it manages to put a unique spin on them, making it stand out in the genre.

My only slight reservation, which keeps me from giving it a full five stars, is that there were moments when the pacing felt a tad rushed.

Christina Lauren has once again proven that they can keep churning out romantic masterpieces.

Christina Lauren has done it again - I absolutely loved "The Paradise Problem."

Anna Green and Liam West got married on paper only to qualify for affordable student housing. They were acquaintances at best, and lost touch after graduation. Anna thought she signed divorce papers, but five years later Liam shows up with startling news - not only are they not divorced, but he is actually set to inherit a large amount of money if they stay married for a few more months. In order to receive this inheritance, he must first bring Anna on a trip to an exclusive island to celebrate his sisters' wedding. Anna and Liam need to fool his family into thinking they are actually married and in love. Sounds easy enough, but nothing is ever easy in the West family.

I loved all of the characters - I laughed so hard when we first met pink-haired Anna, stoned out of her mind after getting fired for forgetting to pay for a pack of gum at her job. I could relate to guarded Liam West and his complicated family dynamics. Unfiltered Blair West was my favorite supporting cast member. I could not get enough of the dynamic between Anna and her dad.

This was by far one of my favorite Christina Lauren novels, I couldn't read it fast enough to find out how everything would play out. Highly recommend!

Thank you Netgalley and Gallery Books for the ARC.

At the beginning of this book, I was kind of getting Unhoneymooners vibes, but I’m glad I kept reading because I loved it! Overall it was different enough from the Unhoneymooners that I wasn’t even thinking about it anymore after the beginning of the book.
This is a great story with a strong female main character. Loved it!

The Paradise Problem was a fun book that was impossible for me to put down! I was very invested in Liam & Anna's romance and rooting for them the entire time. I think this book will make a great addition to any library's romance collection!

Liam and Anna got married in college to gain access to affordable housing and then Anna thought she had signed divorce papers at graduation. Fast forward three years, and Liam shows up to inform Anna they are still married and he needs to hire her for A LOT of money to pose as his wife for an extravagant billionaire family wedding on a remote tropical island. Reluctantly Anna agrees, but only because she needs the money to pay for her father's medical expenses. The stress and pit-falls of posing as a happily married couple at a family wedding on a small tropical island make for some stressful, some sexy and some very funny scenes!

Pink haired, "muppet-like" Anna is a free-spirited starving artist. Liam is a buttoned-up professor with a reprehensible father and fractured (but VERY wealthy) family. Anna's struggles to "belong" in the extravagant world of the Weston family and Liam juggles covering up his fake marriage while dealing with his love/hate relationship with damaged and insensitive family members. Funny banter (yes, I giggled out loud a few times), terrific chemistry and a lovely happy ending make this a very enjoyable read.

I have read many Christina Lauren books and have never been disappointed. I would recommend this book as well as many others by this author.

I loved and enjoyed this book because I'm a sucker for fake marriage/marriage of convenience and opposite attracts so when I saw this book available, I've to request it!! And I'm so glad I did it because this one is my first ever read by Christina Lauren! I just finished and loved all the elements included here from banter to slow burn spicy!! The dynamic of family was realistic and the snarky comments between the characters!! The best contemporary romance I've ever read and I look forward to all the upcoming books by Christina!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me an opportunity to read this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for the ARC of The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren. Hands down, The Paradise Problem, is my favorite CL book to date. The main characters in the book, West and Anna, have an "interesting" arrangement--one that you might see in other reluctant romance plot lines, yet this one maintains a unique quality. I enjoyed the family drama and the slow build tension between West and Anna. Overall this book did exactly what it is meant to do, which is to allow the reader a "vacation" from real world problems. Great read!

Anna Green and Liam West Weston married while attending UCLA. It was not romantic but a marriage of convenience- as Anna wanted access to the subsidized housing. They agreed they would divorce when she graduated.
Three years Anna a starving artist while West (who now prefers to be called Liam) is a Stanford professor and is now back in Anna life, Liam informs Anna that they are not divorced. He then tells her he is in need of a fake wife and wants to know if they can stay in their marriage of convenience for a while longer.
Anna's not quite sure but finds out that Liam’s grandfather has left him with an inheritance but with a stipulation that Liam has to be married for at least five years to be eligible.
Awww Anna sees there indeed is an advantage to this fake relationship.

Story was a quick read – I am a big thriller fan and sometimes I need a brain cleanse.
I did enjoy this 💕

Synopsis:
Anna thought she was marrying Liam for access to subsidized family housing. She thought she signed divorce papers. So, when Liam shows up three years later, saying their still married and he needs a huge favor, Anna is shocked. Turns out Liam is an heir to the Weston Food conglomerate, but he wants nothing to do with it. In order to get out of it, he needs to convince his family he’s happily married for five years.

Can Anna pull off being a high society wife during a week of luxury with the Weston clan?

Thoughts:
Ah this book was like a breath of fresh air! It was so amazing and fun. I loved it so much. The writing was fantastic, and for being a billionaire trope, surprisingly believable which you can’t exactly say often.

I really enjoyed that this book had so many laugh out loud moments. This isn’t always something that happens, even with romcoms so it’s always refreshing and welcome when it does! The writing style that this author pair brings is just phenomenal and I am always excited for their new releases.

Anna was a fun character. She had a lot going on in her life and it was utterly chaotic while she was also disorganized in everything she did, but she did it all with a lot of heart. Liam was determined to make a way for himself, but and make a difference while doing so. Their chemistry was off the page and just sizzling hot. The cast of side characters rounded out Anna and Liam nicely, and I think that Blair was probably my favorite though not exactly the most likeable I appreciated her. The growth of Anna and Liam over the course of the book was amazing to watch, as well as for Liam’s family. I was most surprised with Alex’s character arc though thinking about it, I was quite proud of him for doing what he did.

I was a little bummed by one of the tropes towards the end of the book, I don’t want to give it away, but it did wrap up satisfactorily and made me happy as everything ended on a sweet note, it was just a rough and emotional journey for a while. A good romcom should end on a sweet note and this one did exactly that so for that I am grateful.

This book is an absolute must read.

I really liked this one— great chemistry with the main characters and I like that the author didn’t give into a miscommunication or pregnancy trope. It would have been easy to do but it wasn’t needed!

3.5⭐️ rounded up!

This was a solid book! Christina Lauren is always a favorite of mine and I was so excited to read their new book. I’ll admit, I read this right after I finished The True Love Experiment and it was such a different kind of romance that it took me a minute to wrap my head around these two characters. I found both Liam and Anna to be interesting, if not a bit over the top, characters. I did enjoy them both, but I also found them annoying at times. At the beginning of the book, Anna seemed to be written in a way that was almost trying too hard to be the super cool artsy chick who did drugs and didn’t care about anything material. Liam seemed to be written as the uptight rich boy who didn’t want to be rich. But as the story progressed both characters relaxed more into an authentic version of themselves and were more enjoyable to read about. I found all the side characters awful to be honest. I didn’t like a single one and I didn’t really find any redemption for any of them by the end. I just wasn’t a fan. I also felt like I needed more of a final confrontation between Liam and his father after all that happened. This book was filled with all the laughs that I have come to love from a CLo book. The moments between Anna and Reagan were just emotional and precious enough to give the book a good amount of depth. Overall, this wasn’t my favorite CLo book, but it was a solid read!

This felt a bit like a whirlwind. I initially wanted to blow off the Anna- she came off "chaotic cute" which I feel like is a trope that really needs to stay in the early 2000's. West felt so cold and remained that way the whole book, and even with his POV chapters his "love" for Anna felt like his whole personality. The whole first half read like a Pretty Woman rewrite. Once on the island, the whole story felt like more to me, however we were entirely unprepared for the level of abuse everyone was going to experience. It was interesting to see different dynamics develop between all characters, but the major twist really was left field. I think the afterward really pulled all the loose ends together and I'm grateful for it because it really needed a bow to tie it together.

Not a super light and easy read but a good one none the less.

The Paradise Problem is another consistent installment for Christina Lauren. Outlandish, steamy, witty, and so much fun. This is the perfect book to take with you to the beach. I didn't love this quite as much as her soulmate equation books as it is more in line with Something Wilder, which I didn't like, but it is a slump buster book for sure. I can always count on Christina Lauren for well written, laugh out loud, feel good reads.
